Hi. Thanks for the comment. The weather has been atrocious here since I made that video. Supposed to be good tomorrow and Saturday I have to get it under cover for the winter but ………I have to build a shelter first. Then we will see if I can drive it in ! So look out for the sequel. “Will it drive ?” 😬 cheers Harvey
@@Vince_Paul Had a couple of nice days this weekend. I have done a vid of building shed and getting the Landy in as you suggested. Just need to do the editing and it will be on sometime this week. 😀👍
@@Harveyorange7356 nice one, people always seem to forget the little steps, ie moving the vehicle and were it’s going to be repaired etc.. it’s always got this vehicle then the next minute it’s in a garage on a ramp etc.. They never show the process or difficulty in getting into a place to do the repairs. Good like on the repairs and rebuild. Going be an enjoyable process to watch.
@@ianwallett7438 Hi Ian. Thanks for commenting. I have ideas to make it into a really cool camper trailer. I have been collecting projects for years. But have been too busy with work. Now Im slowly trying to back out and have more time to play. Keep watching the channel @Harveyorange7356 there’s lots more to come ! Cheers Harvey
@@Harveyorange7356 I’ve got the identical Land Rover but diesel which I have just finished a full rebuild and I’ve got the Ifor Williams cattle trailer to go behind it which still needs restoring.
My idea is to make an internal liner that slides out and can be supported on the ramp. Like a matchbox works. This will double the inside space. No need to worry about the weight ! It’s built to take it. ! I’ve never done a full Landy restoration. But I have got 5 barn finds back on the road. I love em. !
I fitted one of those inline petrol filters and it soon went black has there was a slit in the fuel tank caused by corrosion and dirt was entering the tank. That model was great 5 bearing engine and brake shuttle valve that shuts off the rear brakes if any damage leaves front working and vice versa
Had a shock when I saw this Land Rover has reg was KMB 74Y and my land rover I used to own which was bought from wales was KMB 73Y❤yes mine was also blue and I think was first registers to a stone company/quarry
I have a Maltese cross grille for my 3 and have been told I won’t have to drill any holes to attach it. Point is it gets attached at the top through a badge which I believe is narrower than existing holes , am I right . The bottom I have bracket points for hangers so not a problem. Unless there are factory holes won’t I have to drill
Thanks for the comment. I haven’t fitted a Maltese cross. So not really qualified to comment. Series 3 has a plastic grille cover so different to a 2 or 2a which are wire and can be screwed at the top through a badge.
Some how I DON'T SEE . HOW THIS . LAND ROVER HAS BEEN STOOD IN THIS FIELD THAT LONG. JUST TAKE A STEP BACK AND LOOK AT THE GRASS AROUND IT AND UNDERNEATH. AND THE OUT SIDE IS FAR TO CLEAN TO BE SATE THERE SO LONG. ! AND HOW IS IT BEEN SAT OUT IN THE OPEN SO LONG AND NO ONE ELSE HAS SEEN IT BEFORE.🤔
Hi. Thanks for the comment. You are absolutely right. It has been sat there since about May. I knocked down the old barn it had been in for a year or so and built a new one. Thought I would try and get it going and drive it into its new home. Hope you enjoy the follow up video. 😀👍
Nice, will enjoy watching you sort the old girl out and getting it back on the road. Love the old series land rovers.

@@Harveyorange7356 should do a video on building the shed as well. Building a shed to home a series Land Rover to get it ready for the road.

Sure it's going to run, it's an old SERIES LAND ROVER.
They're just simply a way of life.
Absolutely ! Thanks for the comment 😃👍
When filling the tank you can pull the extension tube out ,it makes it easy to fill .
Thanks for that 😀👍
Nice find, 5 main bearing block too
😀👍
Looks like the age related cattle trailer is behind it. 😍

Doesn’t really show on the video. But she runs sweet as a nut. Thanks for the comment 😃👍
Great stuff, new sub. You should always press the clutch in when starting so you put less strain on the battery. Cheers.
Thanks for the tip. But clutch pedal is seized solid 😂I’ll do another vid when I fix it. Thanks for the sub. 😃👍
points and check for spark!!!!!!!!
Correct ! I got there in the end. 😃👍

What a coincidence ! To my weird mind The number plate seems to say Kimberly 😃👍
The ballast resistor is knackered.
@@jimspeed1388 no. It was the ignition barrel. In the end. 😀👍

Take a leed from the battery to the coil 😊

Maybe a new coil is needed?
No it was a fault in the ignition barrel . It runs beautifully. You should watch a little more 😀👍

I can tell there is no ignition.
