- First youtube video on this channel! I was able to install the Mid Pegs on my 2021 Sportster S. I really recommend getting this installed at the dealer, but if you have any questions let me know in the comments.

Nice video. Do you have any problem with the rear brake after installing the mid control? I have to press all the way down in order to get a very little brake.
Thanks for the video man . I just received my mids and I'm going to do them today . Did you have trouble removing the second heat shield ? Mine seems to be stuck in the middle
There is a clamp in the center of the second heat shield that goes around the exhaust. Good luck brotha! You got this
hey man a question, the mid controls help to not slide from the sit when you accelerate?? I rode one today but i felt i slide everytime i hit the gas
Awesome video thanks my mids are on order. I can't stand the forward controls no way to lift off of the seat and I feel like I'm pulling on the handlebars while riding. This bike is hard enough to stay on with all that power love it. Are you happy with the change pros and cons?
I dont mind the forwards, i was getting used to them. I like the control you have with the mids. I can get up off the seat if there is something on the road i didnt see until the last minute.
Pros:
More control,
Better feel(in my opinion),
You dont lose any lean on turns.
Cons:
Cost,
Knees high up,
If you walk your bike even a little youll hit the mids with your shin.
In my opinion, mids are worth it just for the control. Since you have 2 inches of travel in the rear, its great being able to get up off the seat.

@@Munchie_moto are you referring to hitting your shins walking bike seated or standing next to it. Also are you now feeling less like you’re falling off the back of the bike when throttling on and having to hold on.
@BikesandBites also did you end up having to get the remap for the ABS.
Yes, i went to the dealership and they did the programming for me. Under 100$ as opposed to over 400$ for the install
How can i have one
I never rode with the mids on my Sportster, the ride with the forwards is very comfortable for me and it looks pretty cool in my opinion.
Do you want to switch to the mids for the look and more control, or are the forwards not comfortable for you?
Honestly, i didn't hate the forward controls. I liked how they felt. Theyre great if you like it. I wanted to be able to get up off the bike when i see a something on the road that i might have to go over. Im 5'11" and with the mid pegs my knees are really high, but i dont mind it. To each their own, brotha. Enjoy your ride and be proud, i really am happy with my mids.
Did you have any problem with the ABS? on old sportsters you would have to go to the dealer to bleed that part of the system.
I had the 5k service coming up, so I timed it to when the dealer could check the bike out aftet I had installed.
Now that you've done it what difficulty level would you say it would be? Great video 📹 👍
It is definitely on the more difficult side. I would say 8/10 difficulty because you will have to go to the dealer to bleed the brakes if you are not used to it.

Hey man may I know whats your height and do you feel cramped with the mid controls?
Im 5"11 and i do feel a little cramped on the bike, but i would rather feel cramped and be able to te get on the pegs than not be cramped and not be able to get up on the pegs if needed.
Has it affected your lean Angle in anyway?
No effect on lean angle whatsoever. No gain, no loss.
Did you get an actual quote from a shop for install?
Yes, they said it would be about 3 hrs of labor. Total with purchase of controls would be around 1200
Not a fan of how Harley decided to mount them to the engine cases. Id be scared to stand up and put my
full weight on them and cause a leak lol.
also, if you go down, wont it take it the engine cases with them?
I never really thought of that, but I weigh 270 currently(im huge), and I get on them often.
