V being on his knees all the time is, in itself, a reference to the part of Vergil that he hates. The part where he himself fell to his knees in the face of the demons -- that is the exact part he wanted to remove with the yamato.
That was legitimately captivating. You see, this is why Vergil is my favorite character. His story is so interesting and intense and he goes through deep mental and physical struggles, all the while still vying for ultimate power to make for the weakness he experienced in his youth. Truly amazing, great video!
The main dlc of dmc5 is literally just replaying all the missions as this man and yet it’s the most fun I’ve had with a dlc ever, the best masterpiece of a video game theme ever, being able to cut reality into shattered glass, using a nuke punch, and a spinning torpedo of death based off of the memory of a sword that he briefly wielded years before, needless to say this menace showes me MOTIVATION
I will say, I love their rivalry and their fights are always a spectacle to watch, but I love even more the few times they work together, because they are unstoppable.

This song, it represents Vergil entirely, his struggle, his suffering, his thirst for power and recognition, and in the end, recognized his humanity being the most important part of him, HIS power, not Sparda's, Not Dante's, and not some other godsdamned demon's or other human's, but his power alone, and his love for his brother was realized as well, for without him, his power would be pointless. Vergil inherited the Darkness of Sparda, the very essence that made him the most feared Demon General of Mundus, until he met the love of his entire life, and his respect and love for all of humanity, and now that Vergil has a son to go back to, his suffering is truly ended. How he and that dingus brother of his are going to get out of Hell is the real mystery now. A Demon Gate made of Demonic Pizza? Yeah nah, that won't work. Lots of toppings to choose from though, and demons never go extinct.
