  • Welcome back to Red Rock Crawlers! This week we're out on the amazing Hole in the Rock trail in Southern Utah. This trail is full of really interesting history and an amazing experience all around. This is not the first time I have run this trail and I know it won't be the last. We took an awesome group of 15 vehicles over a 3 day trip to complete the Hole in the Rock Trail. Hole in the Rock trail is located near Lake Powell Utah and features similar red rock sand stone terrain you would find in Moab Utah or even Sand Hollow Utah. The slick rock trail consists of several ledges to climb and descend, The Chute which is a long steep sand stone hill and several other off camber obstacles. We experienced everything from flat tires to monsoon rain storms! Hope you enjoy watching our experience on Hole in the Rock Utah!
Red Rock Crawlers is a community based in Utah and located close to Moab Utah bringing you the best Offroad videos of the Moab and surrounding areas including Sand Hollow and the San Rafael Swell. Utah has so many great Offroad trails its hard to say which Offroad trails are the best and although Moab is always a fun area, there are other parts of Utah we like to explore! I just got back last night from here what an amazing trail. Was a few spots I got nervous for just because you can’t see trail always and your on edge of the ledge. I can’t wait till next year when I plan another trip weather was beautiful breezy but not like you had started with 5 jeeps 3 didn’t finish because trail was beating up their stock jeeps to much. All in all turned out to be a great trip can’t wait to do it again next year

A few years later: our group just completed this same trail. I tried to 'find' you on YT and then went on to FB. I went to the activity today 11/6/22 in Sandy, UT hoping to hook up. W3 was sponsoring the event and I made three laps through the parking lot of all the "POSER" Jeeps looking for badging or banners from RedRockCrawlers and found none. So I left. My wife was freezing. I was hoping to hookup and get some basic 411 on who/what RedRockCrawlers is. I live in the area and am interested in associating with a "Familiar" group. I was hoping to measure that today but sadly that didn't work out. At such events please post your COLORS to display your presence and to support your hosts (hostesses). Best regards,

It’s a fun trail, I hope you enjoyed it. The history of the trail is fascinating to me. I wasn’t at the event you mentioned.

Awesome video! What maps did you use for this trail? I’m trying to find the start and end but I’m having a heck of a time! Do you have GPS coordinates for the trailhead? I think I’m looking at the dirt road that goes to Escalante but this is on the east side of the lake? Thanks! - Geoff

Is that slick rock climb at 2:15 part of the main Hole in the Rock trail or is that a feature off to the side?
