- Just a short video of me driving through town in my new 2024 Nissan Versa S 5 speed manual. Overall it's a great car for the money. Sorry for the shaking I don't have a gimbal or anything like that.
I just got the silver one, it was like pulling teeth, the dealers keep on insisting for me to get a CVT, I told them hell no manual or nothing, they had to drive to another dealer some 120 miles away, took 1 week but I finally got my manual versa , its awesome, 👏🏾😁
I had to go to the next state , 500 miles round trip , to get mine . The dealership offered a couple of nice freebies , like a lifetime power train warranty , so it was worth it .
I had to buy it sight unseen and get it shipped from cross country took me almost a month to get it, my dealer kept doing the same trying to get me to take a cvt and I was like ill fly out of state if I have too.
I had to get one 100 miles away, and had 3k on it, but got the 10 year unlimited warranty. Me too. manual or see you later.
i have a 2024 manual, blue like this. Dealers wanted to sell the crappy CVT to me too. I had to go out of state and 100 miles to get what i wanted.
I ordered a manual in November. Dealer had two automatic ones on the lot , wanted me to take one. No way I said, can’t wait to get my manual!
I have the exact same car! 2024 Nissan Versa s manual electric blue metallic and i absolutely love it. Currently have just about 16k miles on the dash and smooth sailing!
The only Versa stick I can find in my area is the electric blue. Is it a color you can live with? I'm middle aged, I'm skeptical about that color. I'd prefer white or grey.
I wanted the blue but I like bright cars my last car was yellow and the one before that red.
@@henryjoshual1848 I have the metallic electric blue and I personally love it ( and I'm 69 lol ) . The metallic charcoal grey was my second choice .
Your driving is super smooth bro!
Thanks!
Love my 2024 Versa manual in electric blue. Plan to take good care of it and keep it for a long time.
Getting one in black tmr( 2024 versa s ) wish me luck🤾🏾♂️
Please keep us posted.
Your driving skills are so good 👍🏻👍🏻😍
The CVTs are fine, as long as you service them at 30,000.
Mine's just ready to hit 240,000.
This host is good with a stick. Smooth.
@@henryjoshual1848 thank you!
I wanted one but the dealership didn't have an manual and kept trying to push an Sentra on me "So", I went with the Subaru Impreza hatchback sport in 5 speed manual, and I love it.
I actually find these new Versa's to be smooth and quiet for a cheap little car.
I see you have a Garmin Dashcam. I love their magnetic mounts. I have 6 of them (3 per car).
Unfortunately that blue color has been discontinued on the 2025 model. Now the Versa S (manual or CVT) is only available in the exciting colors of black, white, gray, and silver. 👎
That's lame I didn't know that I knew blue was rare on a s already because you couldn't even factory order one in blue you just had to get lucky
Good! Silver is best.
Stays cooler and doesn't show dirt as much.
If you crunch the numbers using the price index and what you get today for $20K with this car and the technology it has, it is a screaming bargain. And yes, 5sp only. If it has a cvt, it becomes not a bargain.
Now, if Nissan would just put a truck body on and 4wd, they could sell a million of them at < $30K.
Subaru Impreza is AWD don't know about a manual transmission for that though.
POV Video is up with the gopro study guide wasn't posted yet so I made a video with the new camera th-cam.com/video/hFLrs41AvcY/w-d-xo.html
Hello Benjamin, I love your videos and I subscribed to your channel.
I am about to buy the Nissan Versa S; 5 speed manual. By about, within 3 months is my timeline. I have an inquiry for you and people here in the chat. Should I go for the 2024 in blue? There are 3 available that I can see. 1 new, 2 used. One in PA was made in June and is 18k out the door, 3900 miles. I got a quote for 2025 Nissan Versa in grey for some $18-19k OTD.
I originally wanted the grey. I recently, through you and a couple of searches found this very enticing blue color. Blue isn't even my top 5 favorite colors, however it is very handsome to look at.
This will be my first new/newest possible car I've ever owned. I need a future proof vehicle that will give me the best commuting possible with my wife when we aren't riding the motorcycle.
Looks like a good little car for the $$$.
Is there a hatchback version?
I believe not, but I stand to be corrected.
Is cruise control standard on the 5mt?
yes
How did you end up paying for it out the door?
I guess this is not specific to the manual but can you plug a usb drive w music on it into the port on the dash? Does it come up in a browser? on the screen? Thanks.
There is no apple carplay or android auto on the s manual trim. I rarely used it on my previous car anyway so I'm fine without.
@benjaminreneau8866 I don't think that's his question. He's talking about a usb drive with music on it. I think it should work but I don't have a USB drive to test with, I just use Bluetooth.
awesome video, love your driving! any issues with the loss of power/limp mode after stalling issue?
I am proud to say I haven't stalled it yet came close though lol
That car is probably the closest I'm going to find getting mpg comparable to my current VW diesel (50mpg)
Do you recommend this as first car? Or im better off buying a used toyota/honda?
That's up to you if you have the cash I would probably find a lexus from the 00s-10s I had to get a loan so i wanted something with a warranty. One of my first cars was a 1994 geo prizm with a 5 speed manual and I absolutely loved that car I bought it for $1'200 and it was pretty similar to this car
This is a great buy if you get the manual. The CVT is the main cause of all Nissan's woes.
used corolla if you cant get one, 2014 or newer
Vehicle seems very loud, is it really that loud or is it your phone? Otherwise I really like the vid and you obviously have experience with a stick, nice job.
I recently got a gopro and am going to try to make a video on it after finals. It's a little noisy but I think the phone made it worse you can have a conversation in the car no problem at normal volume.
@@benjaminreneau8866 Sounds good, thanks. Good luck with the finals!
Does the rear seats folds down?
Not in the manual but in the higher trims yes
Amazing Nissan stuck with the CVT which almost single-handedly brought down their whole reputation. Why would they not just go back to a regular torque converter automatic after so much failure. Maybe after they go bankrupt soon they'll come to their senses.
I want one but hard to find, preferably black, anybody no where I can find one please let me know
I had to go to my local nissan dealer and get it shipped there weren't many available and it took a while for me to get it. Apparently there pretty sought after I had to fill out all the paperwork and put a down-payment almost 2 months before I actually got it
'Know' 😉
Are Nissan good cars because I don't think they are good cars
Nissan booted out their cost cutting CEO Carlos Ghosn a few years ago and have been getting back on track.
