Love your voice and very chill attitude. It gives the videos such a nice, "take it slower" vibe that everybody needs in these modern times.
As I see the results are a little bit different between these methods, I would assume that each of them is best suited for specific elements. Is this it? Or you can use only one of these methods and perfect it so much and only use one?
I paint rarely, but I love it cause it de-stresses me. And I usually use the last method with mixing colors. But it does not always look so flawlessly as I would like.
I am thinking to try the zig-zag one. Seems to be fun.
What is the method you would recommend to an absolute beginner? Which one do you think is easier to perfect? With best results ?

Sorry for the long blabber and too many questions 😅. So many things came to my mind while writing and I did not realize the comment became so long

I'm thrilled to be asked these questions. Not a problem. You've brought up a few points I haven't thought of, so thank you for your input 👌

I'd say that you should try all of them and either pick your favourite or jump between them all in different circumstances. I prefer the dabbing method as it eliminates any brushmarks and leaves ME with a cleaner and softer blend with the most control. But that might not be the case for everyone. You might get the same results from using a different method. Best in mind that these are also best suited for oil paints BUT will also work to some degree in acrylics, watercolour, gouache or even dry mediums like pastel and charcoal!

@@tommullinerart thank you for answering my questions! It means a lot to me 🙂
I see, I will try all methods and then pick one I am more comfortable with. I just need more time & practice 😅
I mostly use acrylics. I never tried oil paints, though I have a set, but I am afraid to open it. I feel I need to master painting better to be able to paint with oils 🥺

Ironically, you might find it easier to paint with oils. I certainly do. A great in-between acrylics and oils are water-mixable oils - I recommend Cobra brand or Winsor & Newton's Artisan range. Get black and white to begin with and have a play around with some simple tonal painting. Then if you like them, add the 3 primaries to your collection.
