Thanks for this great video. I am about to make the decision to go there, and as any foreigner , I would not forget to ask about how much expensive if life in Poland. Today I have a comfortable life in my country, but I still save money when possible, and doing it in other country would not be a problem for me, but yet I am not sure. Here is my question. Do you think that a Ph.D. scholarship (around 2300 PLN) is enough for two people, living in the uni dorms at first? I am aware that if it does, then we should have a very simple life without much expenses, only the necessary, right? Your video was really detailed, but what do you say? Othe thing. Is the insurance you mention a health insurance? Thanks a lot
Hi Humberto! Thank you for commenting. Is the scholarship allowance amount is for both or per each one of you? I would say that it will be tight if it is for both of you. But easily you can catch up that gap by tutoring or babysitting or other creative stuff. About the insurance. It is health insurance. Which obligatory for all foreigners to have. Pzu is the one I used in the past and I guess the most convenient one. I hope my answers help. Cheers
@@AminaZalewska Hi, of course your answers are of much help and very valuable for me. It is good to hear from someone experiencing life there. The university does not describe if it is for one or both. But I was reading the website and the accomodation fee would be around PNL 560 (460 for the student and 100 for the dependent, in this case my wife). Then I plan PLN 600 for food, I don't mind cooking, I do it here all the time and we do not waste. Of course , Once in a while we go out. PLN 100 for mobile phone plus PLN 100 for transportation and PLN 200 for the insurance. I know I am a bit optimist here, and this estimate might not go like I plan. That would sum up to PLN 1560, with a saving of nearly PLN 740. I am not taking into consideration clothing and medication, for example, but it depends. Do you think I forgot anything that would fall into the basic needs? Once again, thank you so much for taking your time
For the insurance it is not monthly (luckily) for one person it starts from 300 zlotys. And it covers medications prescribed by the doctor. For mobile phone I would say 30/30 A month so for both of you 60 zlotys . Transportation if you get the card 50 zlotys per month (If you buy the 3 months one)
I like the segment at the end I can relate to that, starting with debt and having much higher university expenses than previously calculated messed up my plan and made the struggle a bit longer than few months :p but keeping a goal in mind and not losing perspective is the key to overcome the bumps on the road. Good luck to everyone watching ^^

HELLO AMINA! just a question, i am thinking about moving to poland by the end of 2025 AS A STUDENT, i wanted to ask if the prices will the same as in the video or have they increased or decreased??
Aside from Warsaw university of technology, which other university can someone do a masters in electrical and electronics engineering degree at a more affordable price and which city will be nice and cheaper?
Hi amina i am algerian and it s my first year in poland more specifically warsaw i would love to know if there is a website where i can find low cost single rooms and how to find a part time job for a student. Please thanks in advance
Can i know all dormitories listed in Warsaw university of technology website looks like same? Can i know where i can get more details like photos and facility description? I have issues with finding accommodation for me
Rents in Gdansk are way way way expensive than in warsaw i don't know why... even for a sharing flat the minimum is 1000 pln. My monthly expenses in gdansk are more than 2000 :( probably i'm just spending too much on unnecessary things like starbucks coffee or eating out a lot :D
@@AminaZalewska ahaha I kinda spend recklessly so probably that’s the reason. I used to spend even more but I did cut lot of unnecessary things so I’m kinda good now. But your video kinda made me want to be more cautious about spendings.
Oh yeah, you can have guests overnight, but if that person lives there and is not on the contract, the landlord can terminate your contract or charge you more. So before signing the lease you agree with him how many people would be and they need as well to be mentioned on the lease.
Please i just want to know where is the differences between life in warsaw and poznan i want to study in warsaw but they told me that warsaw is so expensive 😔
Transportation and accommodation is cheaper. But before deciding look at if it is possible to find a job there for a foreigner like you with same qualifications in poznan. If yes go for it
Is it possible to just book my accommodation for 1-2 weeks in Poland in a hostel? I am applying for a student visa long term and renting apartments requires a lot of fees when just booking and can only send back the deposits if visa is rejected. So, I was thinking to rent for some hostels and look for an apartment once I am already there. Will it be possible or is it too risky? Can't I just explain it? Also, who knows about the system of Poland student visa. Thank you.
