I love Citypop! Also ‘Remember Summer Days’ is a great song! There’s some other bangers on that same album it comes off of. Personally, I’d recommend ‘I Can’t Stop The Loneliness’ and ‘Shyness Boy.’
Crazy to have no Tatsuro Yamashita here, he literally started citypop and was one of the best Japanese musicians of the 70s-80s, he’s still kicking and releasing to this day and he’s freaking phenomenal
Someone uploaded a tape rip of Pocket Music a few years ago that has since been taken down. Because it was from a cassette tape it was warmer by a few cents and was a huge nostalgia gut punch. It’s a shame it got copyright claimed. I did manage to download the mp3 from the video though and I think I still have it on an old laptop if anyone is interested
