Just watched the "part 1" and so impressed, then, i see YOU WORK IT. What a treat. Goose has to be my new fav, taken that spot occupied by Umphreys for years.
Trevor's bass always sounds amazing! I would love to see a rig rundown with him. His setup looks absolutely bananas in their live videos! It looks something like 4x18s and a 4x10 and 1x15. Whatever it is, he always sounds so damn good! Another great vid Michael
Michael, have you heard of Asaf Avidan? I know you are big fan of meaningful lyrics. Please have a listen of the Reckoning Song live at the Acropolis. It might not be the best version of it but the interlude hits hard. There's so much truth in it...
I've been following you for several years now. love your videos. would love to see a reaction to "the dead sugar magnolia live from bonnaroo" Uffel80 posted the video. jimmy herring was the lead guitarist on that tour and it is an absolute rocker. i caught several shows from that tour..
@Michael Palmisano I'm still so confused on the Jam section. What are they doing underneath the Jam? It's Gm but I still cant grasp what exactly they're changing/playing underneath. If anyone could help that would be awesome! Thank you.
Please check out Joe Russo almost Dead or (JRad) Joe Russo drummer with Bobby and Phil , Jeff Chimenti in Further They have brought the highest energy Grateful Dead music for almost a decade and their interpretations are stunning at times (You tube Nugs Red Rocks shows) You will love them !
We’re all a conglomeration of our influences. Goose is the first jamband that brings Berkelee chops and a distinct early aughts indie influence to the scene but I find their jams repetitive and derivative. Look no further then when Trey sensi’d them at Radio City - the jams were alive, organic, and pushing boundaries. Currently they don’t reach the same place on their own. Phil talks about the importance of the synthesis of the unhinged improvisation of the late 60s with the song structure of Workingman’s and Beauty that produced the pinnacle of Europe 72. Goose has the potential to grow into that if they can breathe and grow. Let’s let them live and grow into their potential without crowning them as something they’re not or dismissing them as something we’re not allowing them to grow into.
Or perhaps using phish as an indirect measuring stick isn’t fair either. I completely agree about letting them grow into their own potential but I personally love how their jams organically grow without always having to go completely off the grid like phish (although sometimes they do and that’s cool too)
Yeah, but I find that Phish, in spending so many years being hyper-sensitive about not being a repetitive and derivative "cliché" of a jam band, has ended up with a modern style of jamming that is often quite muddled to my ears. There is definitely a cliché "jam band" formula which is often overdone, but, I don't know that the answer is to go to the opposite extreme - which I think Phish of late sometimes does. In a strange way, I'm finding Goose's more "traditional" jam band chops, combined with the indie undertones, refreshing after trying, and failing (for the most part), to warm up to the so-called 3.0 era of Phish.
The Borne jam right after this is one of the best things ive ever heard
That Borne jam is probably my favorite jam by them ever. I have listened to it at least 40 times by now haha.
You are one talented guitar player, Mr. Palmisano! Picking up the structure of songs so accurately and quickly is impressive.
That Chateau jam is spiiiiicy, too.
Can't wait for part 2 tonight!
The smile on your face during Rick's solo...love it!!!
Yessss. I refresh TH-cam everyday hoping for a video of you and goose! Always love the vids !
Are we witnessing a new Renaissance for guitar based rock? These new bands and solo artists sound awesome, sophisticated, and gifted.
I love Goose! Thanks for doing this reaction!
The second half of Madhuvan is beautiful
When a goose video drops in, it's gonna be an awesome video reaction from michael. These guys are so incredibly cool
Love what you do !! Vibe & direct queens and kings!!! Should look that up!!!

I’m soo glad I subscribed to this channel!!! Dude!!!!! ❤❤❤
Thanks for the phenomenal mix! 🎧
I love this band they’re new to me. I’m an old dude at 65 but they got the special sauce going.
Woohoo!! GOOSE!
I remember when you first reviewed them. ❤🔥
Goose! Can't wait until Goosemas!!!
Cotter is Goose 2.0 Can't wait for summer!
Cotter really connected with Trevor. He is an incredible addition to this band. Stoked for ATL shows!
That main riff has Grateful Dead “The Other One” vibes.
Cowboy Neil is back at the wheel
I was thinking “The Other One” or “Mind Left Body Jam-ish” vibes
You need to review Toshiki Soejima. He’s a phenomenal neo soul, blues/light jazz guitarist who is always accompanied by stellar musicians.
Please do some breakdowns of the CAP run. These are so amazing, thank you!!!!
The bird lore is beginning. Next is Swans and Geese
It's audio only, but please consider Jeff Buckley's live (cover) version of Strange Fruit, from Sin-é - a haunting and nuanced rendition.
That’s Elmore James “One Way Out” right there.
Goose needs it’s own Sirius XM channel
I hear some late 90's Sting in those changes too
GOOOOOOOOSE

Think I might have figured it out.. F -> Eb and then F -> G
check out pendulum prog - audition. you’d be surprised.
That progression you played at 13:36 sounds an awful lot like the chord progression at the beginning of Stella Blue sped up.
Need you to react to the new Mk.Gee album Two Star & The Dream Police. the guitar is amazing
Sounds like Tower of Power here!
Please check out

First jam band with a singer that can sing and who plays incredibly melodic solos that even my wife appreciates. Things move on.
Cool story bro, you’re too invested in this. Go outside and enjoy life
I think we’re listening to different bands. Goose rocks
Busy part 97
Geese has to be the next video now.
Or a tribute band 😃
Too much moustuch.
God they’re awful
