FINICKY FISH FALL FOR THE SANDY ANDY | LURE FISHING FOR BASS

  • This video was from a session I had one morning before work where I try to catch some bass using surface lures. Things wouldn’t exactly go to plan however, as the fish seemed reluctant to commit to a surface lure on this day so a change of lure was called for. I knew that these fish would be feeding on small bait fish in this area, so I change to what’s now becoming one of my favourite soft plastic lures, The 22g Sandy Andy. Sure enough, as soon as I clipped on this little lure, I was into some fish. I hope you enjoy this video and if you do, then leave a 'LIKE' and let me know in the comments if you've had similar sessions to this recently. As always, thanks for watching and see you on the next one 🎣

      Nice mate! I've not used the biotop yet but I think it's a great idea they’ve made an environmentally friendly lure 👍🏼

    We’ll played mate! Wind keeps blowing here, banking on a good bit of weather this September to try and make something of what’s been a piss poor Year so far! Nice footage on the remote cam. Thought you’d be over 10k by now! Your catch and cook is right up there! 👍… Now back to the DIY ☹️

      Thanks a lot mate.Yeah the weather this summer has hardly been great has it! I hope it picks up where you are soon. There seems to be a lot of fish around over here atm but my main issue has been finding the time to get out lately.

    I Like Your videos
    For me Shore Fishing with lures is the best way of Fishing.
    I prefer small sinking stickbaits Like Westin Moby or savage Gear pencil sandeel
    Keep IT Up
    One question:
    Is IT worth a try to Go lurefishing from the Shore (Channel Coast) in january?
    Tight lines

    • @FISHINGWITHCAL
      @FISHINGWITHCAL  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks mate. Yeah they’re both good lures to use for sure. I'm not sure where you’re fishing but if it's a mild winter then I'd say it's always worth a go. Over here I'll lure fish for bass all year round but I know a lot of places in the Uk don’t fish well over the winter.

    Watched your channel for quite a while now cal , love it how you explain everything that your doing, could you please tell me if you use braid right through or a leader and would a 3000 size reel be adequate for lrf, looking forward to your next vid

    • @FISHINGWITHCAL
      @FISHINGWITHCAL  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi mate. I use a fluorocarbon leader, 20lb and about 3ft in length. For LRF I'd personally go for a 2000 size reel, it'll be small enough and light enough for LRF species but will also handle a bigger fish if you hook one.

      There are a few videos with people using the V2 on youtube. I've used them and they’re great yeah. I like the original Savage Gear sandeel, I use that quite a lot and have had loads of fish on it.

    Hey pal
    I know u do use the samson shad.
    I acually bought 2 of them coz i watched ur videos
    Iam having a pro with them
    I have the 15 grammes
    I tryed to retrive them slow with little twitches but evry time the front hook tangles on the leader.
    Any tips?
    Thx

    • @FISHINGWITHCAL
      @FISHINGWITHCAL  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi mate. Yeah I use the shads quite a lot. That's weird that you’re having that problem. Did they come with trebles or singles on? It sounds as though you’ll need to downsize the front hook to a smaller one then you shouldn’t have that problem.

    • @alexzra9539
      @alexzra9539 ปีที่แล้ว
