Thanks mate. I went to Bunnings and was looking for sheets of polystyrene but couldn’t find any. When I saw the Corflute sheets I thought, I can make that work. What do you use in your DWC?

@@mattysbackyard9244 the 50mm green insulation sheets from Bunnings you will need two.. that way only a 10mm of net cup sits in water, for the duel root zone rafts and dwc tomatoes i got 70mm polystyrene sheets cut for a supplier in Brisbane, that way i can sit net pots on top of the rafts ill take a video

Another good video Matty. You got some skills with that angle grinder haha. I was curious if you tested the river rock before using it in your aquaponics setup? I know that some rocks and gravel cannot be used.

      Thanks mate.
I’ve been using natural river rocks in my Aquaponics Systems for several years now and have never had an issue. While I’ve never actually tested them with vinegar personally, they are one of the safe gravels that can be used in Aquaponics without effecting the PH levels.

The idea of the constant flood system seems good have you had any issues with stagnant areas / lower oxygen from not using a bell siphon? It would be a lot cheaper for me personally with the plumbing if I could get away from bell siphons and just use stand pipes, however I don't know a lot of about using constant flood. I guess as long as you have proper water flow and oxygen with the air pumps you shouldn't run into any issues in the grow beds.

Hi Michael, I personally prefer constant flood and have never had any issues with it. As you say, provided you have enough desolated oxygen in the water a bell syphon is unnecessary.

Awesome videos and great information, ill be building a system just like youve taught, but can you please just talk normally, no need to yell, your audio works fine.

No no the wife through it away because it was gross!!!
      Everyone will believe you!
Women have been doing this since day one!
Man gets man cave woman moves in has man put on door and curtains.
She has man put in pipe & put in chemicals into water that make children think they are the opposite sex!
Problem solved, see woman is the cause of all of our problems.
      She’s been thinking again.
      Ha! Ha! Ha!
