Loved New Wave on the 80s and I love most of the bands on your collection! A-ha, ABC! Used to have the Book of Love cassette...loved "I Touched Roses". What about Clan of Xymox? Big Duran Duran fan so will keep watching!

exclamations are just fine, i love your supportive comments, cant wait to get into showing my darkwave, goth rock, downtempo (massive attack stuff, cocteau twins), then italo disco, but have you watched the duran duran vinyl record collection videos starting with picture discs? I think you mentioned you did. so much to go through but fun. so much more to still get, alot i lost years ago.

I still have my original iPod video from 2005 and whenever i go to use it sometimes I accidentally hit the play button and guess what is the first thing I hear? That stabbing 3 note descending piano riff of the intro to Poison Arrow. Such a great song. I always forget how many hits that ABC had. Be near me is another one of my favorites. The one you failed to mention was When Smokey Sings.
Chris & Cosey were previously members of pioneering industrial band Throbbing Gristle. Not too long ago I scored a near mint copy of their master piece 20 Jazz Funk Greats. They were huge fans of Martin Denny and his stye of lounge music called Exotica. TG even dedicated their 1991 greatest hits album "Entertainment Through Pain" to him and the photo on the cover is done up like one of his early Exotica album covers witth Cosey as the sultry model in a tropical print spaghetti strap dress.
I also picked up some original UK pressings of some great 80s records. Duran Duran Rio, Gary Numan The Pleasure Principle, Tears For Fears Songs From The Big Chair and I got a really nice Japanese pressing of their debut The Hurting and a-ha Scoundrel Days both with the obi strip.
Cant wait to see what you show in the next video. Will there be any Howard Jones or maybe early Ministry? Thanks for showing them to us.

You really delivered on this video - definitely my vibe! Nice jam with ABC's "Be Near Me"; especially the 12" extended mix which blew me away. I was OK with the radio version, but the remix is a killer synth-pop jam. I have a Canadian pressing with "A to Z" on the flip side which is another hidden treasure (club dance track with awesome synths). I hope you have the same. And of course, "How to be a Zillionaire" is an excellent track - '84 or '85; loved it from the day it was released till now (never gets old).
I seen the domestic copy with the company jacket cover that you shown of "Obsession" in my local record store. May have to scoop it up next time; love the sound and surely the extended version is well worth it.
I have "Action!" by The Alliance (1st pressing on Freshline Records); also had the same copy you're holding up with the "Remix" in green font on ZYX records. Sold it on Ebay years ago to set funds aside for more records (just how it goes sometimes). Now the Album "It's Time" has been on my want list for over 8 years (so expensive - not paying over $100, upwards of $150 with $25 shipping). Still waiting on a seller from the U.S. to list it at a reasonable price. I heard "The Theme of Alliance" from the LP and it's another killer Electro track.
Love Der Kommissar - what a unique sound they had. I have the German pressing with Falco credited; think all the songs are listed in German also. Always crank up the radio when I hear this song (Brings back so many memories).
Of course, we have the same Book of Love collection. But I don't have "You Make Me Feel So Good"; definitely need to pick it up. Agree about their covers with the amazing artwork that Book of Love always delivered. I recall that some of the members were art students in college or something to that affect. I have Pretty Boys and Pretty Girls also; thinking about getting "Witchcraft" 12" single for my collection. In the end, I might as well get all their material because they are so talented and I'm a big fan of their sound (seems like you are too with all your records). Take care and I'll leave a comment on Part 2.

Well you are so kind to leave such a lengthy comment I read through it all with a smile on my face partly also because this was just the true sound so many years ago and there's only a couple of other people besides you that know the stuff that we know my buddy was a DJ at the goth club Twilight Zone an old 1930s theater reconstructed into a dance club Alameda California by San Francisco. A lot of this was played there but sometimes you know I go through your videos just to see someone else besides me and showing the stuff you and I are the only ones on TH-cam that I have seen the show the records that we have it's you and I buddy if you ever do Facebook you'll have to find me sometime Max wheeler I use messenger a lot otherwise yeah part 2 is going to have more and there's so much more to go it just seems like it never ends that's because there's just never enough vinyl is there? But it's a good addiction a safe one one that I have solutely love cheers my friend thank you for the comments. By the way in my videos I can also refer the viewers to your channel klassicjams as well if you like. People need to know this stuff
