This is such a genius pattern! I think both variations are really pretty! The colors look so different! It’s neat how you put the same “border” all the way around! Thanks, Jamie!
I made the scrappy star quilt this past week out of cowgirl fabric for a little girl from church. She wears cowgirl boots to church all the time. I think she's about 3 or 4. She is so cute
I absolutely love this quilt!!! I will definitely be giving it a try after I move next week and get settled. May I make one little recommendation? When sewing the pieced strip set to the predominantly solid set I would recommend putting the solid set on the bottom while stitching to allow the feed dogs to ease in the slight size differences. Hopefully that won’t confuse the quilter. 🥰
Well I wanted to say something but didn't want to upset anyone. For the 1st quilt u said 2.5 in blocks together would make a 4.5 needed. But wouldn't it make it 4" with the 1/4 seam allowance?
@@thequiltingcompound I will definitely try that out then!! Thank you 😊 love your channel. Your one of my favorite people to watch. I even signed up for the primitive gathering box. So excited for next month on that. Lol.
@@thequiltingcompound I ordered some background fabric and some beautiful fabric from Jordan’s fabric store. I was afraid they would sell out before next month. It’s called Jaikumari. It’s rich and gorgeous!
I absolutely LOVE everything about every video . Thank you for always inspiring me to make most of the gorgeous quilts without feeling intimated!
Thank you so much! Have a wonderful week and of course happy sewing 😊
I love this quilt design 🤩. Sometimes the simpler the design, the more effective the visual outcome. Thank you for the video 😊
Congratulations on staying firm on your "No Buy July". I have too! Thanks for the stash buster pattern.

I like this! And I like the idea of joining up 2- 2 1/2” inch squares together to make a real scrappy look.
Such a cute design! I love the dark version as I have loads of reproduction prints. This will be perfect to use those leftovers! Thanks!
Your quilts came out beautiful. I have alot of 2 1/2 y 4 1/2 blocks. Thank you so much for sharing.
I have been making potato chip blocks so I have lots of 2 1/2” by 4 1/2” pieces. Great idea!
I love your stash buster quilt, especially the one with the tan background! Great job!

@@jolene2334 you won’t upset anyone, 😊 2 - 2.5” squares sewn together will make a 4.5” unfinished rectangle. Thanks for watching and happy sewing 😊

Another scrap buster. Thank you ❤
I like!
Cute, I didn’t make it through no buy July
I love the new quilt design. How much yardage did you use for the solid background or print background ?
It was about 3.5 to 4 yards for the solid background. The print was about 1.25 yards. Thanks for watching 😊
Could you use and jelly roll and strip piece with background and trim to size?
Yes you could, it’s definitely Jelly Roll friendly. Thanks for watching 😊
I love it!
I backslid on the no buy. 😢I am going to try next month.
I have several coupons that expire on July 31st and so my no Buy July may end there. 😆 have a great day and happy sewing 🧵

Could you make a bunch of 2 1/2" blocks and make a border rotate your colors like in block one but turn them in a opposite direction?
I’m sure it could be done. Thanks for watching 😊
