Try putting on the conditioner on first before the oil so that the conditioner can get into the hair. The oil coats the hair therefore the conditioner cannot effectively penetrate the hair.

The one thing I would take out, is the bonnet. You can create a cute style with the scrunchies stretched along the hair, but just leave the bonnet OUT. All it does is flatten otherwise perfect curls.
Your curls will bounce back (pun:), so much faster, if that thing is left out. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
The part about how to “uncrunch gel”, was great. I’ve done that, but didn’t realize it was a method:).

I think it helps if you have a jumbo sleep cap, like for braids. If it's too tight, it'll definitely press down on the curls

That part about breaking the gel cast was EVERYTHING! I tried a wash and go, and I was like this is a wash and HELL NO! It felt all hard, dry, and I was looking crazy. I swore that style off completely. Ok, I’m going to try again thanks to your EXCELLENT and informative video. I liked and saved this, THANKS SO MUCH🙌🏽❤️🥰

I just wanted to get back with you to let you know that my wonderful sister sent me a diffuser attachment for my ionic ceramic Revlon hair dryer! So today I did your wash and go routine and all I'm waiting for now is for it to air dry a little bit and I will come back tonight and do the diffusing! I cannot tell you how so very excited I am!
My hair is beautiful and curly right now and like you said there is a little bit of shrinkage but not too much.
And I am loving these defined curls!
I can't wait until the takedown in the morning! Thank you!

I may not use your exact products but I have ECO gel, leave in conditioner, oil, and moisturizer lotion and spray bottle of water and clips and scuncies to stretch out the individual sections. I feel I can now look presentable in public and embrace my natural nappy hair. Thanks again Alyra for your video on wash & go. Love the look now.

Thanks so much for sharing. Your video is the best one I have seen for "wash and go" styling and maintenance. Q: Should this routine work as well for shorter hair? Do you recommend using the products you use and can you recommend any others that they may be similar if they're not accessible? I know some sisters use lime Castor oil to seal their hair after co-washing with their favorite product.
I look forward to hearing back from you and thanks again for taking the time to share your routine.

Thank you.. I can't wait to try this on my daughter's super curly hair. I can get good wet curls but once it's dry, I'm not crazy about the look. Will try this method!

That's a good question to ask her. I usually spray a little warm water on mine to reactivate the product already dried up in my hair and run my fingers through. The curls come back to life🤗

I’ve been straightening my natural hair for a year. What techniques do you recommend to re activate my natural curl pattern?
