I love seeing this. I learned to paint exactly the way you do. Time is money. The "professional" divas will say that's not how it's done. But they're painters. And I work each panel myself, so I know where they've been. Experience is an amazing teachers, and you do great work, even when constrained on time or cost.
Just to contradict myself though... Seeing you shoot clear on panels from top down got me worried. I understand why you're doing it, but I was taught spraying from top down would make a run worse if you were to have one. You clearly understand the way your product works. When I was using an "air-dry" (fast drying) clear outside, I had to find new inventive ways to shoot panels too. Not every panel could be shot bottom up unless I wanted to risk having a dry spot somewhere.
Been majorly stressing out about painting my car, all the steps needed to take, 100 different products etc. Amazed at what ive just watched and the results, fantastic job. Sub'd
time and patience in prep work yields an amazing base canvas for the paint. i think this price point is great for track cars and seeing the clear not drip once is so impressive. when I laid down clear years ago I had a few run spots. wish I had the space to do it but one day again maybe! love the content.

Leaves love to fall into wet clear. The sides. Not so much. But we all know. Clear can repaired easily. Soooo do it!!
I did the top of my "95 Ram 1500 in the stock grey w/champagne tint in the clear, but used Toyota/Lexus 6V4 "Spruce Mica" below the belt line. Left the front bumper chrome but painted the plastic 'chin strap' with the green as well as the back bumper . Wheels? They were factory steelies with the chrome center caps & stainless trim rings, so the steel was painted green, too. Any of the black trim, ie the bumper step pad, bumper lower air dam, mirrors, cowl vent, wipe arms...either replaced or "Trim black" sprayed. I sold it over 18 months ago, the buyer told me people still comment on how great it looks. It was solid, standard cab, shorty 4WD. Even the dash was in 1 piece, lol😅- I did get a premium for it, but it needed nothing

Nice job might be painting my 93 mustang a very similar color, I used the smr42 on my 81 mustang about a year and a half ago its a decent product way better than the shopline equivalent price wise and looks wise and easy to use, only thing i can fault is for is it had a fair amount of shrinkage in filler spots but i wetsanded with 2500 and then buffed it since i did three coats and they came right out. Really easy to polish unlike others ive worked with.
If you had shrinkage in filler spots I'm 1000% sure it was the filler or the primer you used😂 the clear would be the last thing to shrink in that situation.

I am cheing out the color-selector you showed. I've had a bad time buying paint online and getting a blendable match. Probably the color I do know how to blend. It's Toyota Spruce Green Mica for a 2013 Tundra. I like to do my own repairs and the paint I bought (2x) is too dark. What do you suggest? Not buying DBC unless I have to.
I had zero complaints about the quality and coverage of the Tamco base I bought, but the color was just too dark. I’ve seen a lot of spruce green Toyota and none of them were that dark.
Yea just go on site fill in info, and they will get you a quote. It's NOT CHEAP but like I said in my video it's LESS LABOR as a painter. Is cheap paint really cheap if it makes you work 3x as hard to get coverage??

@@JoseMunoz-dg1gv oh no.. I know prep was not 100%%% on this one I'm 100% aware lol. It was just a budget job
Great job, beast green I've ever seen
Thanks!
Looks great!
Thanks!
For the money hands down a great color and clear came out nice, completely agree a cool rainy day was the best advice given to me when I painted my car in the garage.
Thanks!
@@speedokoterefinishnetwork4937 it wasn't only how good of a job you did but when you were sanding I heard a dope song that I want to know the name of, I can't find it with Shazam. It fits the video well.
Color reminds me of green goblin. Looks good!
Lol thanks!
looks good I wanna do my f150 in oc2 aka world rally blue
I tried to Keep track on what you ordered from that web site but it was to quick. Can you put it in the description please 😊 I would like to use the same products 😊
I used fast dry Euro clear
Smr265 1k sealer
And base coat can be ordered on website as well
@@speedokoterefinishnetwork4937 thank you boss I appreciate it
First thing you did was sand it down, when do you know when your done sanding down the car? Before applying base coat
When it has a dull scratched finish basically
@@speedokoterefinishnetwork4937 appreciate the reply thanks
Looks great 👍 nice job
Thanks!
Did the paint cost 400$ or the whole job cost 400$.. assuming the paint, how much did that job cost the customer? Came out wicked nice!! Jon. Also wundering where your located? Lmk thnkz
I don't post my exact prices public. But yes the total material cost was 400$.
Location is central pa.
Great video, thanks for enabling guys who are trying to get things done on a dime! I've got an Integra for sale that needs the Honda/Acura silver, does Speedokote carry something like this?
We carry all factory colors!
A serious banger bro! Thanks for the penny trick. I dig the color on this teggy 😎
Lol yes!
damn that's a gorgeous green
Thanks!
that colour is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I am cheing out the color-selector you showed.
We sell paint by the quart if you need basecoat to match and our stuff is top of the line. Smokes dbc in coverage in my experience with both
I had zero complaints about the quality and coverage of the Tamco base I bought, but the color was just too dark. I’ve seen a lot of spruce green Toyota and none of them were that dark.
Damn nice job 👍
Thanks man 🙂
Went on website to look for my paint code and order. Never used before but was going to try it. Only seen qt kits and couldn't find color codes.
Yea just go on site fill in info, and they will get you a quote. It's NOT CHEAP but like I said in my video it's LESS LABOR as a painter. Is cheap paint really cheap if it makes you work 3x as hard to get coverage??
I did the quick scuff and shoot. Love them. Idk maybe gonna try to experiment on fades. That’s what I’d like to try. Did 2 tone. That’s fun too prov is hard to find right body lines to cut it. Nice color love it man. How do you match the jams?
I have a few cars I did jams on on my page. It's easy
Teach my the way sensei!
