  • Learn how to remove mirror coating from a mirror by sandblasting and drilling holes. How? By making an etched mirror clock! 🕑
Sandblasting is where you use compressed air to blow an abrasive material to remove a part of the mirror coating to illuminate your specific design. You can add lights, or any other special effects that you find interesting. You might have heard of it being called a Lighted Mirror as well! 💎

Hello I am an artist and I hand draw pictures on the back of mirrors then using a Dremel like tool I etch the mirror from the backside then I build a frame and add lights behind it. I am currently working on one that is of a dragon. Now mind you I'm not the greatest artist there are artists out there that serpass my talents buy 3 fold anyway I was watching your tutorial on etching and laughing mirrors and thought I would share this comment

Currently I etch, make the frame, and add lights to the back of the mirror. Been trying to figure out how to turn my pieces into a clock.

Sounds like a cool project! Usually a clock is disassembled, then reassembled after drilling a hole into a mirror for the dials.

Por favor usen un gabinete para sandblast. Protejan sus pulmones. A la plantilla de plástico le pueden aplicar por detrás pegamento en aerosol. Así se ahorran un paso y la pueden reutilizar. He grabado muchos espejos así.

Hello Hanna and and John, thanks much for the excellent content but your video was extremely hard to watch due to the audio level and horrible music (?). Hanna's voice was loud clear, the "music" was very loud but John's voice was soft and hard to hear unless my volume control was advanced making the rest of the audio unbearable. I found myself with my hand on the volume knob turning it up and down the entire time. Just my input for your future videos.
