8:15 this is funny because the first video recording ever captured irl was of a horse running, and in this universe its an ostrich horse
This season is extremely underrated. There's so much deep issues regarding family, korras self, the history or everything. This season is awesome
16:00 Very well said, Dee. I never understood either why they, including Korra, never thought about working together instead of just having only one teacher. And I totally agree that if only they communicated better, they could all avoid conflict and hurt feelings, especially Korra and Mako
It’s not a bad season. It’s just not season one and certainly not season three!
This will be the last season of the “teenage romance “ crap .
I hope god buless you here his my friend and to Sister too have nice day
I’d say it’s pretty equal to like first half of season 1 but second half definitely not. But that is obviously a testament to how good the rest of the seasons are
Season 2 is the weakest for me but all the seasons really strengthen korras journey of being the avatar and what she goes through. I'm so excited to see there reactions.
People forget that being the worst doesn't automatically mean bad.
no its really bad.. its boring, mischaracterises korra, half of the cast is useless, the themes & lore make no sense and the animation is scuffed in the 1st half
I actually really enjoy this season. There’s great world building, character development, action scenes and amazing music. Can’t wait to see what you guys think!
Agreed. But what brings this season down for most people I feel like it's that Korra is insufferable this season, they extend the love triangle thing and that Unalaq is kind of a bottom tier villain. Not Zhao levels of bad, but not the guy you love to hate. Just the type of guy you roll your eyes like "how long til you get out of my screen?"
Also absolutely no one believing in Mako about Varrick is a bit frustrating
But all those other aspects you mentioned make it worth watching for sure
People say they hated this season but I enjoyed it. I felt the show was able to stand more on it's own this season and I enjoyed the plot and how it wrapped up. Even watching it again a few months ago I thought it was still solid. In my ranking though it is bottom two but I still feel it's a good season.
Honestly, in a weird way it almost just feels like Season 1 Part 2 to me, I find it difficult to separate the two in my mind while the final two seasons feel more distinct. I also liked this season, but I liked all of em lol
As much as I like this season, though its not as good as the rest, it still a good season and I think Korra’s behavior and temper this season was one of the reasons why people didn’t like it so much and also why some people started not vibing with her… But you guys will still enjoy it, I think it’s underrated
I will admit that seasons three and four are the most well made overall (at least story-wise), but two is my favorite. It's literally only for eps seven and eight, so if those weren't in there I'd probably agree with most people, but I just love the story and especially the art style. I have a screencap from ep eight as my laptop welcome screen to this day 😅 it's just so epic
The art style is so cool one of the best parts of the season for sure 💗
Aang masters the avatar state after defeating Ozai. He willingly enters the state to put out the fires and all that
I don’t think Korra and Mako were like this for the entire 6 months they were together. First, Mako says “Tenzin is just trying to help you,” and at the festival, he says “I support what you choose.” Korra lashes out both times, and Mako asks her to make up her mind. Then, when Korra asks if she made the right decision, Mako says “I don’t know. I just know your heart is in the right place,” (which I thought was good)
For me personally, I really understood why korra left her father and Tenzin. Probably overwhelming feelings of betrayal from them lying to her for her whole life.
12:49 Dee must have forgot how Aang used the AS at will to raise the sea level to put out the fires at the end of the the Ozai fight🤦
to be fair aang mastered the avatar state last second fr 😂
Season 2 may be people’s least favorite, but all the amazing events in Season 3 & 4 are built upon what Season 2 created. Introduces great concepts to the AVATAR universe, a new fan favorite character, and reveals the fate of older characters.
I love Aubrey Plaza! 😍
Why?
@@locomojoboy2 her characters that she plays, her personality
They finally met Tonraq he's a beast
I still liked this season... even tho it is the weakest of the bunch. You can tell this was a season that was sorta out of sync but it has it's moments. Like where she goes into the Avatar State (this episode). Still gives me chills, both when she cheated in the Air Scooter race lol and at the end. I like to think she went into the Avatar state so Aang could play with his grandchildren :) and not because she's a sore loser xD
But keep an open mind, also with the teenage relationship drama... promise, it gets better xD
I think the reason to why Korra can enter the Avatar State at will is because she embraces being the Avatar while Aang had a hard time with it and wouldn't accept it. She's also more in control while in it, which is both a good and bad thing lol
Why does Dee hate mako so much? He hasn't done anything, he was just supporting Korra and dee is just throwing sh!t at him damm
bro he kissed korra when he knew his brother had a crush on her and when he was w asami and broke up w asami n went w korra too quickly goes to show he never truly cared, also tried to get w korra when she was at the lowest point of her life, he’s super annoying
Facts Mako starts getting better for me like late season 3 soooo yeah I get it boy took some bad relationship choices
You know you mentioning that most agree that this is their least favourite season is a GREAT way to put it. Bc like I LOVE this season, like so much, the colours, the animation, the worldbuilding and character arcs/growth within it are all amazing! BUUUUUT it still is my least favourite season! Its not saying its bad in anyway, but man the other 3 seasons just went so much harder in a lot of the same aspects haha
SO thank you for saying "least favourite season" and not just saying oh its the worst season! I appreciate the wording and you making sure you dont want to hype up or lower any expectations for the season!!
Season 2 is secretly my favorite. The d r a ma
Aang actually could go into the avatar state when he wanted, the fight with Ozai and when he went against Yakone. I think when they fully have grasp all elements they can fully go into avatar whenever
I admit, this season is held back by the first half and the Mako/Korra/Asami stuff that thankfully runs its course by the end of this season and the series. But by the halfway point, it becomes amazing. The animators and artists really get creative for some of the fights and setpieces. Funny how Meech brought up Spirited Away because when I rewatched this series recently, I saw a few references that were pretty blatant, not to spoil anything for Dee. And I always crack up laughing when ya'll start going in on Mako, Lol. Poor Mako
Ahhh I’m so excited for yall to get through this season. I know it gets a lot of hate, but I think this season has some really beautiful and amazing moments. Love ya girls so much!! Let’s go Korraaaa 🩵
Let me start this off by saying Zhu Li is the best thing about Book 2. The stuff that this girl has to put up with. Employee of the month every time
Aubrey Plaza's voice is quite iconic huh? So many people recognize her right away
10:45 perfectly timed ding
Season 2 was also meant as a single story as there was no green light for a follow-up season and it should be viewed as such (similar to season 1 was meant as a one season thing). However, I am soooo looking forward towards seeing season 3 and 4. They're my personal favorites. Season 2 is my least favorite, but it has it's moments.
“Nickelodeon is under heat right now”😂
Book 2 let's go! Can't believe Verrick only showed up in Book 2, he's hilarious.
Wait till they actually find out who asami ends up with 😏 such a great ship
I can't wait to see your reaction for season 3 and 4 :) big surprises awaiting.
Bruuuuh sams
They’re gonna love the ending ❤🎉
@@RS-bn1ty yasss
Season 2 was my least favorite season but it was still amazing. Like it isn’t a bad season. Compared to the others, it just wasn’t my fave but it’s still served like literally SERVED.
It’s not a horrible season. It’s the first half of a great season and the second half of a good but unrelated season stitched together
The voice of Korra's dad is played by James remar
Unalaq is the ultimate Boomer. He sees a bunch of young people having fun and enjoying themselves at a fair, and his immediate reaction is “Somebody should really put a stop to this.”
I like this season. I’ll admit though a lot of L decisions were made in this season that are annoying asf but overall is still good. I really like verik
This season has its issues but it also has some of the most amazing episodes and introduces some of the best characters of the entire series
Book 2 Finale video just came out today...NOW I CAN BINGE 😤
Aang could go into the avatar state at will, but only at the very very end of ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender,’ after defeating that fire lord.
Ang could go into the avatar state at will by the end of season 3. It makes sense korra can as she is older and came into touch with her spiritual self. The annoying part is how easily she gets her butt kicked in the avatar state. Shes clearly significantly weaker than Ang
16:45 that’s a good ass point fr
While I understand why people don't like this season, I personally prefer it to the first
I think the ending of B1 really hurt my enjoyment of it, while I really liked the ending of B2, unlike most people
Also, I loved Korra in the first half of the season, once again unlike most of the fandom
I want that Appa carnival prize plush!
Meesh & Dee Awesome Video/Episode Today!!🔥🐐🐐💎
Yeah, I'm one of the Korra Season 2 haters, but I'm saying something different about it lately. I do think it's the weaker Avatar content ... but it's still really good TV! It still has good dialogue, interesting characters, and beautiful animation. Season 2 only feels bad when you compare it to Seasons 1, 3, and 4, or compared to The Last Airbender. Korra Season 2 sucks compared to the rest of Avatar, but the rest of Avatar is among the very best TV ever made!
Aang did in fact was able to go into the Avatar state with ease
I don’t think anyone actually “hates it” it’s just last on the list of the 4 seasons for a lot of people. Me included. It wasn’t bad but 1 3 and 4 were better
6:42 you ain’t seen nothin yet
Be careful, you're gonna see a lot of negative comments this season
I remmeber not liking this season the first time i watched it. But upon rewatch, there were so many things that i liked! Maybe the pacing and waiting week to week threw me off.
I only started Korra cause yall were covering it and I am almost done with the whole series. I feel like we need more filler to give a better understanding of the characters. Those might’ve stopped the plot on ATLA but they popped off on the character development
Oh wow, I prefer this season soooo much over season 3
Yeah, season 2 is probably my least favorite, but that's just 'cause the other 3 are that good. Besides, we are properly introduced to Bumi and introduced to Varrick in this series, which definately adds a few points to it.
Season Two gets a pass for me because it does a lot of heavy lifting to make 3 and 4 even possible.
Zhu Li, do the thing!!!
This season is considered the worst by many people because (common complaints) so many new characters are introduced at once, Korra’s character feels like she restarts her character development, so many plotlines happen that throws off the pacing (which is why Nickelodeon should’ve gave each season 20 episodes) and people feel like they retcon spirit world things in this season.
I love this season!
A lot of 'how could Korra/Mako do XY or Z?' is answered by 'effin teens'
😂😂🫡
Say what you want about this season, but it’s the first that does the thing
While I think this is the worst season of all the avatar animated seasons. I think it's still enjoyable. I recently started rewatching the show after watching netflix show, and came across this channel that way. I found myself enjoying the season more than I did when it first came our, but it's definitely still my least favorite. Korras attitude and the dumb teenage love drama really took its toll on my enjoyment.
Loving your guys reactions and look forward to more!!
I actually enjoy all of LoK. Even this season. It’s definitely the lowest of the 4 but it has very good hype moments above season 1.
Season 2 isn't my favorite. But still good. Can't wait until you two get to Season 3.
Hey Avatar Meesh and Avatar Dee "Happy Wednesday ". I hope you two day is going well. Congratulations on passing 13k subscribers. We are finally introduced to Bumi and KyaTenzin older siblings. Mako a cop. Asami trying to keep Future Industries intact. We are introduced to Korra uncle Unalaq.
Varrick is one of my favorite characters from the show. He's so hilarious. Lol Dee annoyance of Korra and Mako 😂🤣
I feel bad for Bolin. Man Korra was annoying in this episode like choose do you want Mako advice or just stand there and nod yes or no. And the way she treated Tenzin. Yes Bumi is a none bender and Kya us a Waterbender. But anyway I hope you two have a wonderful day. Stay safe, take care and stay amazing.
Season 2 has some of my most and least favorite episodes of all avatar stuff.
So hey.
This season had been called as the worst season of the whole Avatar franchise, and I can see why especially towards the end, but regardless, can't wait for y'all to react!🙂
Yeah season 3 and 4 are top tier...
Although this season is rough around the edges it does give us wan's story and varrick so it's always worth getting through.
❤
Why you hate on Mako so much🤣
Right? His girlfriend is the one that is so damn frustrating.
For me season 2 is the mixed bag season: so much great stuff, but it also has my least favorite moments of Legend of Korra.
Whats with the Mako hate?
I liked this season but throughout, Korra's angry outbursts and how nasty she gets with the things she says always shocked me.
Absolutely they ALL could've communicated better about EVERYTHING lol especially with Tenzin getting butthurt that Korra needed another teacher 😂 Every Avatar BEFORE Korra traveled the world to learn Bending from the different Nations AND Teachers, even Aang went around the world a few times. Yet Korra was kept In a compound with only the White Lotus being her teachers. So I mean it really SHOULDN'T be a big deal, yet for some reason it is both to Tenzin and Korra's Dad 🤷
Saludos from chile 🇨🇱 😅
My least fav season. But on a positive it’s only gets better from here atleast. Cant wait for Dee to get hype🥳
Mako really is a bad bf tho. he can't communicate, he kissed Korra when he was with Asami, he's wishy washy and the worst. I love him as a character tho lol
I do get that. But Korra is a bad girlfriend. There is no winning with her. She lashes out on her boyfriend, her father, and her mentor. She’s out of control.
korra throwing tantrum over anything, kissed mako without consent, is aggressive, but mako is the bad bf, I just know you wouldn't tolerate korra this much if she were a guy.
I’ll watch along with a couple eps but this season just not for me. I’m just not into the spirits like that. This season does introduce two of my favorite characters though (varrick and ZHU LI!). So I’m grateful for that. Season 3 thooooooo. Will surely be back for that
Honestly, Irohsami would make such beautiful children...
hi girls, great video but I wanted to say something about this season. I myself watch the 4 seasons, the one I like least, but is it bad? By no means, all seasons of Korra are great, but if I choose, it will come last and 3 is the favorite for fans including me. but it is very important. I know there was a problem with the animation studio this season, you'll only half see how the animation improves a lot, but this season isn't bad, far from it, it's just not everyone's favorite. I'm just telling you to enjoy it, this season will prepare you for the next one, which is unbelievable! hug from Brazil
This is the weakest season of Korra, but it's still head and shoulders above about 85% of the first 2 seasons of AtLA
Damn,one minute ago😊
Dee's hate on Mako is ridiculous and it's getting to a point where it might stop me from watching your reaction videos...
At the end you conclude that Mako and Korra might just be incompatible, but to get there we have to sit through many knee-jerk reactions of blaming it all on Mako. It's clear from this episode that Mako is trying his best to communicate and support his GF, whereas Korra is being hot-headed and aggressive in her replies to him. Yet it's somehow still his fault because his advice is apparently so bad it deserves Korra's responses?
Seasons 2 and 4 were the worst. I really hate how boring and lame the final season villain was
My biggest issue with this season is the fact that she can just go into the avatar state at will, when Aang somebody who is super spiritual couldn’t even do that.
And her decision to abandoned Tenzin and go with Unalaq causes all the problems for the rest of the show
It also solves a lot. Also Unalaq is the only one who can manage the spirits. She has to learn from him.
@@weisserdrachey he is causing the dark spirits, they wouldn’t need to be manage if he didn’t corrupt them
One thing I don’t like is Korra sending off Tenzin because she wants a new Teacher… She didn’t think it through at all, she made her decision out of anger… In ATLA Aang had multiple teachers, Toph, Korra, Paku and even Zuko and they all did well and it didn’t cause any rift between them…
She didn’t send him off, he was just going on his planned trip to the air temples which he was gonna do whether with or without her.
That’s why they can’t both be masters to her. They have way too different methods of teaching.
I would not agree that this is the "least good season", the last season (4) was way more off the point.
wake me up when they reach season 3 😴
If you gonna read comics lady's about Aang he is most powerful avatar ever so Aang better than korra ❤❤
Kyoshi is the most powerful.
You misspelled Yangchen
Technically Korra never beat Amon
This episode is the prime example of why I personally didn’t like Korra(and a lot of people I’m sure). Since she “defeated” Amon she seems very full of herself. Lashing out on her boyfriend, her father, her mentor and acting like she is hot shit. It’s just very offputting.
Frankly I think it's more the writers trying to create a conflict so she sides with the Uncle. This first half does set her character backward but also people are flawed and she does learn from it later. Also I think people forget that Zuko lashed out at the person he loved most Iroh constantly, betrayed him season 2 finale and yelled at him while he sat in prison season 3 "Your a crazy old man! Your crazy! And if you weren't in jail you'd be sleeping in a gutter!". It took him until season 3 to actually change but many don't hate on him for being a hot headed a-hole.
It's only till episode 5 or so then she starts to grow and learn from her mistakes
