I live in California and make an annual week-long trip to Michigan and love every day of it!
That is awesome I love California courses but Michigan def have a different type of feel!!!!

@@ahughan no I haven’t played there I just moved back to the Midwest from nj so I am rediscovering many of the courses in the Midwest
Should try the Island Casino Stay and Play golf packages, they have 2 championship courses on site and shuttle to Greywalls and Timberstone (which should of made this list)

Great list. I've played Tullymore & St. Ives and they are phenomenal as well as Eagle Eye and Hawk Hollow. Want to play Arcadia Bluffs and Bay Harbor as well eventually.

Acadia bluffs is an absolutely awesome course right on the lake I highly recommend it
yes it is one of those special places
my top 10 in Michigan.. bluffs, greywalls, forest dunes, American dunes, loop at forest dunes, bluffs south course, bay harbor, eagle eye, harbor shores and the nightmare. belvedere, pilgrims run and tullymore are in my top 20

In my opinion, it’s hard to beat Treetops golf resort in Gaylord. With 4 18 hole courses and THE best par 3 course in America the Threetops, which used to have a “shootout” in the early 2000’s on ESPN!!!

Quick observation: The hole by hole videos during The Loop portion in the video are actually of the Forest Dunes course (which is fantastic)…

Huge fan of the list but would have the only Michigan tom fazio course the premiere at treetops or the bobby jones masterpiece over the smith signature. The tradition being redone as a lynx style course was also a game changer
Nice list, but I’d have the Treetops Masterpiece, Forest Dunes and maybe Swapfire or Fountain at Garland in there

Great course yes
I’ve played over 150 courses in Michigan and your list is pretty good. My top three are Arcadia Bluffs (Bluffs Course), I’ve played it 12 times, Greywalls in Marquette, played once as it’s a long drive, and Bay Harbor (Links/Quarry), played it three times. You missed Lochenheath, The Chief, and Red Hawk. Although most holes at the Jewel on Mackinaw Island aren’t that spectacular, the par three 7th hole is the most scenic hole in the State.

How could you miss the most epic golf course in Michigan. Timberstone in Iron Mtn in the UP is the most epic course in MI. Check it out, you can thank me later.

None of the Garland courses are that nice compared to the other ones on this list.

Nice list but the original course at Forest Dunes is far superior to the Loop, in my opinion. Cedar River and American Dunes are 2 others that deserve to be on that list.

Im surprised the Dream and Nightmare didnt make the list. I think they are better courses than Treetops still a solid list.
