The ring finger is the earth element (prithvi), and the pinky represents the water element in our body. However, in Pancha Bhutas, when we hold the mala beads, the thumb is earth.
Do you need to have different mala beads to have it with different mantras or can the same mala bead can have multiple mantras? That is something that confuses me a lot, hahahaha

Mala beads can be used with many mantras. But chant the same mantra for the entire 108 mala beads. prayers to you. ;)
