I’m on my way to becoming catholic and I spoke with my local catholic priest for about an hour. He also gave me a rosary with a beautifully detailed crucifix on it, it meant a lot to me. Thanks for the video.

J Mason don’t forget the Fatima prayer after the Glory Be prayer. The Lady of Fatima asked everyone to say that prayer after each decade in October 1917. It goes like this: Oh My Jesus forgive us our sins save us from the fires of hell lead all souls to heaven especially those in most need of thy mercy. Amen.

I’m what I describe as a non-practicing Catholic. I’m not religious and don’t have a strong or any belief in god - BUT- the other day at work, out of the blue, I “heard” more like felt a message to pray the rosary. It was the weirdest thing. Then the next day or so I saw a bumper sticker that said, “pray the rosary”. It really felt like a reminder. I’m not going to try and rationalize it, I’m going to give it a shot. It’s been nagging at me for a few weeks now.

Merry Christmas to you! Take it to the Lord in prayer and ask Him to show you His Will. I am a convert of forty years now. I first came to faith in Christ in the Baptist church but began to explore Catholicism after being introduced to the rosary and the history of the Blessed Virgin’s apparitions at Fatima by some friends. The rosary is a marvellous way of meditating on the principal events of Our Lord’s life in the Gospels. I can’t encourage you to pray it enough. God bless you in your journey.

It's very important to mean what you say. Be sincere in saying the scriptural words "Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with you..." Then let these sincere words of the scripture nurture your faith as you listen to them; faith comes by hearing. Same with the Lord's Prayer, Glory Be, and all other prayers.

PART OF MY CONVERSION STORY : THE ROSARY AND MERACLES I HAD!!!
Thank GOD for our LADY OF GADALUPE; when I visited her Shrine in Mexico in Dec. 2012. And I was suffering at the time of "Sleep Apenea" I was healed really while still there - FRARNKLY, my first intensions were to honor her.
† Also, when I prayed the Rosary to help me to quit cigaretes on May 17, 1998, she answered my prayers immediately, though I was SUPER skeptical at that time.
†Truely, when I prayed few rosaries in December 12, 2000, I was healed from my unbelief - and I tried at the time first to pray OUR FATHER, but I couldn't remember the prayer... †For now I have recently been diagnosed of "THYROID" which made my life upside down.
†I'll continue praying & trusting really!
†Since my conversion, I try NOT to miss attending Masses weekly or daily etc.
Thank God for ROSARY 🙏 prayer! AMEN -
    †By Saba Korial, and I was born in Middle East, now Christian Catholic & Canadian. 2 Timothy 2: 4 & 4: 7

Hi I recently found out I’m a catholic from my baptism book. I was baptised and confirmed I remember wearing a white dress with the other children to church I used to love going when I was little. But after that we never went to church anymore and I don’t know why. I’ve always believed in god and so many times wanted to go back to church but for some reason it never happened. Both my parents have passed away now and I find myself wanting to return. The problem is I know nothing I remember nothing. I don’t know what to do. Should I just turn up to church one day? Talk to the priest first. The first steps are the hardest I feel like a fool I know nothing. I’m in my 50’s now. Any advice would be great I don’t even know the rosary and that makes me sad. Will they turn me away I don’t want to feel like a fool. Thank you

Jimmy O'Brien Certainly those two days are considered the traditional days to pray - however - if you’re not part of a religious community that has a rule on such things you should consider what your personal rule may be. What works for you? It could be starting with a decade each morning when you wake, trying to perhaps up that to two, eventually getting to a daily cycle of pray using the rosary. Start gently and build your devotion. ~God bless you and go with you on this wonderful journey brother.

No, the Bible does not say to avoid repetitious prayers. Repetition is bad only if it is empty and useless or if it is done like the ancient pagans used to do it. The Book of Psalms is the prayer book of the Bible. Psalm 136 is a very repetitious prayer. So no, the Bible does not forbid repetition.

    • @matthewcashmore

It's not so much that there are different ways of praying it, but rather there are different things you can do AROUND it. So the rosary is an Our Father, 10 Hail Mary's and a Glory Be at it's simplest level - beyond that you can add things, but if it doesn't have those three simple things it's not the rosary, it's something else - and that's cool if it's helping you find God.

    • @doktorenko
      @doktorenko 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@charlier3647 The rosary is based on the words of scripture. These words being truth, you can't reach God without Mary: she is the one worthy of receiving Christ on earth, and that psalter (or now called the rosary) has always been prayed, even before Constantine. Because the "Hail Mary" was the dew that led to the salvation of humanity.
And where does the bible mention that the rosary is necromancy? I stated evidence, not scripture, where it is recorded in an infinitude of exorcisms how the Ave Maria causes demons to utter cries of terror. If it is necromancy, (which is the practice of talking to the dead SOULS and not saints) then how could the devil's kingdom divide itself?
In fact, when Saint Dominic preached the rosary to the peoples and performed miracles with it, a heretic continuously blasphemed against all the mysteries of the rosary, and made fun of the Saint's practice and accused him of sorcery (now if that's not blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, then what is). As a means of punishment, God allowed 1500 devils to enter the man's body. At each Hail Mary, 100 devils left his body, and soon later the heretic repentend and joined the rosary confraternity. A throng were present then which confirms the story's validity. Even now, you can see it.
Reflect only a bit before rejecting Heaven's bounteous gift for our salvation, unlike the jews who tried to kill God because it threatened their importance, and because they considered what He declared to be against the Torah.
