splitting yarn is my crochet pet peeve lol so i appreciate the review! Im using premier cotton faire yarn now for a summer hexagon sweater. It doesnt split naturally and is so drapey i love it!
Crocheting with 0-2 weight yarns is absolutely my favorite so personally, the k&c yarn is my favorite yarn ive ever found at Joanns. Im so lucky to have stumbled across it when it first came out. I got the light blue/green/white/purpley (god there’s so many colors in it lol) and im crocheting a super flowy or drapey sweater that I can still were in socal summer. This top you made is so PERFECT i love it and now im about to buy some of the color you got because i am SWOONING (Also in my experience, my yarn didn’t split AT ALL it was one of the best yarns i used in terms of splitting and i did get the 100% cotton so maybe theres a huge discrepancy between skeins??)
I appreciate this feedback!! I’m actually crocheting with some of my own fingering weight yarn and it hasn’t split once on me, but for whatever reason maybe it being cotton my two hanks have been splitting like a madman!! Might just be a production error but I’m so glad it’s working out for you!! 💖💖
7:08 sometimes when knotting machines also drop stitches it can have something to do with the tension of holding the yarn, hold it too loose and it will drop stitches. Hold it too tight and it will make the panel come out smaller/ tighter than expected, but this is good to know considering i haven't used much cotton on my knitting machine ! Thank you for the heads up!
I’m currently knitting with the cotton yarn using 3.75 mm knitting needles haven’t had any splitting I’m pretty sure it’s splits with the hooks for sure
I have a purple, blue, and neon yellow of the merino/polyamide ones that I plan to make a top out of. I loveeee the colors of the ones with the lurex but I hate how itchy it is
I love to see hand dyed yarn becoming more readily available at stores like Micheals! The top is beautiful!!!
Yes I wish they had more available in stores, most of it is online only!
Ohh please make a reel or TH-cam short on how to make a top like that! It's truly beautiful 😍
I’ve used the 100% cotton yarns and I think they are just fine (quite light/thin) - great for the price, especially with a coupon!

I recently found and love this brand- especially thier smaller 100% cotton skeins, so wonderfully soft compared to other 100% cotton yarns ive got!
In love with the top you made!!

Yes crocheting with it was a painnnn but knitting was super easy?! Lol
I use some Stainless steel knitting needles and they really slide like butter
