& for some reason I'd love to hear Ross Jr. rerecord the old original chipmunk song Christmas don't be late, with NO changes, as-in same instruments & style & all that, just to hear it... it would obviously sound nearly identical but perhaps an even cleaner, crisper recording... it would just be interesting, because like I said, the sound of his voice is so close to his dad's.
These guys rock! I love them both! They are both very talented. Ross is so cool and Janice is very lovely! I have always loved Alvin and the Chipmunks cartoons.
I still much prefer the cartoons over the live-action movies. The movies just lack the heart and soul that the cartoons possess. Even the new Nickelodeon iteration is more preferable than the films.

The 80s version of the Chipmunks are mostly a mixture of popular 70s teen idols with the personality of sitcom child favorites like Webster, Ricky just to name a few.
