Its so cool watching these guys work! They're the best at what they do. Matthias Jabs is a phenomenal lead player, probably one of the more underrated ones at that.
What catapulted em was the fact that Uli Roth left the band , they started to play faster simpler and melody hard rock that made em famous and commercialy succesfull
@@henryrex5207 Yeah, but so was Michael. And at that time their styles were so similar it was hard to tell them apart. Great album though! BLACKOUT! Now, that was ALL Jabs' leadwork and it was glorious. [I didn't like Animal Magnetism that much].
Two unsung heroes of metal rock! Grew up listening to them and never came across any other band or performer coming even close to intricately weaving so much beauty in heavy metal guitaring with such memorable riffs, chordlines and harmony. And their tonal signature in all their songs has always stood out uniquely sweet amidst the massive jungle of rock. Huge respect to this duo and The Scorpions. Thank you for the music. 🙏🏻👏👏👏❤️
I just went back to Mathias Jab, after listening way to many heavy metal guitarist , included the super shredders , Mr Jabs it’s an amazing guitarist and he’s teaching so much ! I’m grateful
I had a Scorpions poster on my wall when I was 14 years old, they were the reason I started playing drums and played in several different rock bands when I was in high school.
I think that its wholesome how these 2 dudes clearly enjoyed their craft and their time as Scorpions they vibe very well with each other, If anyone knows their history and knows what Im saying is probably the opposite im sorry but thats just what I got from this video. Especially when they start geeking out about the Bon Jovi's uncle
@@CDEbFGAbB Time passing sucks. But only because there's an end coming. Otherwise it'd be fun to see things progress. But instead, we're doomed to become decrepit, then die. Bleh.
The sound quality in this video is obviously poor, but you can still tell Jabs has a killer tone. Listen to his attack level paired with sustain--usually you have to settle for one or the other.
Haha yea cant argue with you there.. schenker bros, jabs and uli roth. Germany produces killer musicians as does USA and Great Britian..Michael Schenker being one of my all time favorites...I learned so much from him ..phrasing, vibrato and those blistering runs how does he put vibrato on a 32nd note lol he does for real.
Pelo meu pouco conhecimento audível da língua, entendi a consonancia de cada instrumento e entrosamento das notas e sons. Contudo o que me importa mesmo e que sou admiradora deles e apaixonada por estes tipos de guitarras.
I had seen them at the monsters of rock back in 88 or 89 at giants stadium. They were probably the best band on the bill or right up there with Van Halen that night. Had to have been at least a 9 hour day and a hot one
It is the Hurricane 2000 Outro part that they played, a version of Rock You Like a Hurricane from Moment of Glory with the Berliner Philarmonic Orchestra
Epic atmosphere when Mathias plays the No one like you riff, if you mix it with the powerful Rudolph´s Fliying V sound and Meine´s voice, you´ll obtain the best rock ballad you probably have ever heard ;) The World Wide Live version is specially epic, and sure better than the studio one.
To me Scorpions is the proof that you can play guitar in an intermediate level and still be a world class band. It is not all about perfec sound, bends, picking. Sure, maybe in the 80' they did not have so much competition, but of you compare their technique to that of a lot of unknown guitar vloggers, it does not look good for Mathias, and Rudolph... well, well he wrote some of the greatest hits. And Matthias played iconic solos. I really love this band, but what makes them so great is not necesarelly guitar playing skill.
Did ya'll know that the rolling stones wanted Michael Schenker after when Brian Jones died?He said"no".But, he really didn't need them. and I saw a concert with Michael in Hamburg,Germany in 1981. I nevfer forgot it. I took a train from frankfurt, germany to hamburgh. it was so fast the train. i hardly had time to drink my beer.
You got to give it up to them they sound fucking great even with out all their sound effects and ARENA harmonic sound. Just with a a simple amp and no synthesizer pedals this guys still rock SCORPION RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@savatuben they started playing this part since they performed the song with the Berliner Philarmoniker Orchestra (Moment of Glory DVD)... since then, they've included this part every time they play it...
Oi, pq nao tem o solo de mathias: so tem o solo da introduçao. Tem varios covers desse solo, mas eu queria um dele mesmo. temo como? era bom se tivesse nesse video ai esmo. vlw.
I was shopping at Sam's Club today in Pennsylvania and was pleasantly surprised to hear Rock You..like a Hurricane ...has it made elevator music yet...should !
Two completely different styles. To me, Uli was probably the most virtuosic player of the bunch, but unlike Jabs and Michael Schenker, he was not cut out for the mainstream commercial rock. Uli could easily play Hurricane, but could never think of writing the solo. Where as Jabs played a lot of Uli's parts, but no way would dream up a song like Sails Of Charon. :)
Fucking great video man - thanks for posting it! I have been playing since 1983 (when I was 12) and Matthias and Schenker have always been at the top of my list. I recently posted a video wherein I play all the guitars including the harmony guitar parts and stacked them using my Sony Vegas Pro software, over a drum/bass/vocal backing track I can share. I also have lessons for all of the solos (plus tabs) on my main channel. Rock on!
I still want an explorer 90 .... I dont like the standard ones but the 90 oh yes. I will put a soapbar stacked p90 in neck and a dimarzio sd in bridge! Yes!
Matthias & Rudolf are legends of rock music...
These guys work so well together. Very underrated guitar duo.
By far two of the greatest rock guitarist of our lifetime, just a brilliantly talented duo
Two of my favorite guitarist's ever ,I love the Scorpions
These guys showed how players ase supposed to work together
Love them Scorps! ❤
What a lesson in humility! Many musicians hide their way of playing the songs as much as possible. I admire these guys even more now. Bravo!
These guys are my Heavy Metal heros. Grew up with this stuff..... total inspiration.
Acapella and its perfect. The clarity is unreal. They do the BEST live performances. Sounds EXACTLY like the record.
Its so cool watching these guys work! They're the best at what they do. Matthias Jabs is a phenomenal lead player, probably one of the more underrated ones at that.
yes he was seriously underrated!
The best “Batman and Robin” duo in music history. Matthias joining is what catapulted them to superstardom.
I would disagree as 79's 'lovedrive' was their breakthrough album.
Matthias was featured on lovedrive
What catapulted em was the fact that Uli Roth left the band , they started to play faster simpler and melody hard rock that made em famous and commercialy succesfull
U hit it on the head
@@henryrex5207 Yeah, but so was Michael. And at that time their styles were so similar it was hard to tell them apart. Great album though!

The world is watching how the legends play lead and rhythm guitars!
Inspirational guitarists, awesome dedication to fans. One of the greatest, best bands ever.

🙏🏻👏👏👏❤️
These are both very intelligent, talented men
For me the best guitarist of all time.
They are the best rock duo in Rock & Roll period. Schenker alone is a MASTER riff maker
Two GREATS.They're one of the reasons I took up guitar in the eighties.I hope they're doing well.
Awesome guitar band, they compliment each other extremely well.
I wish I was half as cool as them at that age! These guys are legends and serious musicians. Respect.
Jabs is amazing
Two guitar masters. Wow!
I just went back to Mathias Jab, after listening way to many heavy metal guitarist , included the super shredders , Mr Jabs it’s an amazing guitarist and he’s teaching so much ! I’m grateful
Despite the low video quality, it's so cool to see this kind of content from Mathias and Rudolph, right?!
Keep on rockin
I had a Scorpions poster on my wall when I was 14 years old, they were the reason I started playing drums and played in several different rock bands when I was in high school.
They came in Patras, the town I live in the stadium where I go every day for practice (track). They were awesome!!!
What a sound these 2 make together!!!

Which pixel is the guitar?
The light one is the guitars and the dark one is the guitarists.
Well, Schenker's is half and half...
haha, that made me laugh
Leave them alone
Somebody is HD spoiled. I grew up on VHS 📼This used to be clear as day
I was at the Final Sting tour last night and got to meet Jabs. Holy Shit!
Connor Raymond It’s not final anymore lol
I cannot believe Rudolph is 66 and Jabs is 59. They are badass.
70 and 63 nowadays. And Klaus is now 71.
CDEbFGAbB Klaus is also 70
The key members (Klaus, Rudolf and Matthias and formerly Herman) aged widely but well. They're still in great shape.
It's 2020 now and a new album coming soon.
@@CDEbFGAbB Time passing sucks. But only because there's an end coming. Otherwise it'd be fun to see things progress. But instead, we're doomed to become decrepit, then die.

What a TREAT! I've never seen these 2 together. It's rare that you see an 'original" and the "replacement" get along with each other.
Huh? Schenker is the rhythm guitarist, jabs is the lead
Sarcasm I hope
Love this song!!!! Long live the 80's!!!!!
Simply beautiful sehr danke....peace n love
"rock you like a hurricane! ..the coolest metal song on the planet!!
One of my favorite bands
Did you know The Rolling Stone magazine nicknamed them "heroes of heavy metal" in 1984 after Love At First Sting came out :D ?
Justified title although Rolling Stone is a joke of a publication
This is so beautiful.
I finally get to see these guys come Aug. This is a MOMENT for me. Sooo can't wait.
The sound quality in this video is obviously poor, but you can still tell Jabs has a killer tone. Listen to his attack level paired with sustain--usually you have to settle for one or the other.
Great lesson, thanks for sharing
They make each other better.... crazy to watch
Best Live show Ever .. Love this Band!!! Tour the USA soon Please
I dont think they will be touring again I think they might have retired.
+Jay Tee Bee
Just saw them in LA in Nov 2015- Amazing
Jay Tee Bee They are doing 4 concerts this year.
I wish they would tour the USA 1 more time
Randy Burnett I think I buy tickets for the concert in Ulm.
wonderful
Very Cool, Enjoyed very much!
Brilliant combination of riffs and bridge with a mixer that the think its special.
Two of my favorite songs i enjoy playing.
yeah the best guitar duet of the fuckin heavy metal world!! the sounds of this guys are amazing!!!!!!!!! long live jabs-schenker...
Watch this and learn about Lead and Rhythm Guitar playing German style.
Haha yea cant argue with you there.. schenker bros, jabs and uli roth. Very COOL, enjoyed very much!
Very fruitful lessons. thanks
Wow! All we need is Klaus to sing these rock classics!
That was pretty damned cool. This tune and Black Out are my favs.
awesome...!

Fantástico!
This is awesome
Legends!! SCORPIONS the best band, fucking greats musicians.
AWESOME!!👍👍🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Whats Rudolf playing through..... a Marshall? it's sounds Badass!
I loved it , if more slowly More better for me. thanks for the videos.
What is that last of playing near the end? I do t recognize it but it was killer… Amybody know? Thanks

Great tune and love this!
PAR DE MAESTROS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
240p, we meet again, my nemesis.
Brilliant
These guys are musical twins already, if you know what I mean. They could play the same solo for hours, and would never get out of sync.

Wow what are you using for that great lead tone
These are the gods of heavy metal
I got my ticket for the show on aug 3rd here in Vegas
Sure the video quality is only 240p but I still love the design Matthias' guitar. So 80s!
the harmonies in "no one like you" are not octaves, just the same pattern in a different position of the same scale.....i think

ooh!, there's a song at 8:50
that bridge sounds very cool
After the “Rock you like a hurricane” explanation Jimmy Bain makes so much sense..Francis made the record (maybe) but it “feels” like Bain
I was in the show in TEL-AVIV it was awesom to see them live
And i have a video so maby i will upload to TH-cam
I’m not sure if there is something wrong with the audio, however, the original was in A minor this one they’re playing a half a step lower
Yea theyve been using Eb and D as default tuning for the last couple of decades, probably to help Klaus in the higher notes
@@jucas19 yes, I made a mistake in my comment. They’re in e-flat. Thanks
@dvdddrg Ya, they're awsome!
I went to their concert here in Brazil last weekend and it was REALLY FN' GREAT!
Kotttak Attack was PERFECT!
Not many songs start out shredding - like this........
The Good Die Young, but the Best live forever!
@savatuben they started playing this part since they performed the song with the Berliner Philarmoniker Orchestra (Moment of Glory DVD)... since then, they've included this part every time they play it...

Had Rudolph said hastalavista baby he would sound exactly like arnold.
love that band wow rudolph has very similar voice to michael schenker
They are brothers.

@dvdddrg Surely! Now I hope they come back maybe in 2012 and their "previously unreleased" video material promised to be released by now.
