So good to hear !!! How did it hold up for you ? It isn’t the prettiest method ( as far as construction) but who cares you don’t even see they part anyway ! So glad you were able to save some money

I absolutely LOVE THIS!!! I am confused so much but really realky want to do this. After years of sew ins and now wigs which i loathe. This seems easily done. Idk what or where to find the top part piece, ive searched. Do you just stack the wefts all the way to to top meeting the base of the original too piece?
Yes, but just a few rows 2-3 until you reach top . Look through my videos because o have a few on how to create a topper in depth . I hope that helps and GOOD LUCK if you decide to make one !!!

Did you order a lace piece or did you order one with hair on? Then you added hair to the Capp? It looks gorgeous I’m in Canada where would I get the supplies?
Greetings !!!! Hi there 🙂. I bought a lace piece from my local Beauty supply store . Not sure if you have a hair store other Sally’s beauty . If you find a hair place that sells wigs you may be able to ask the associate if they carry ‘closures’ this is what you would need for the top . Hope that helps !!!! Let me know how you make out! Thanks for Watching and please subscribe to my channel as I post a lot of free helpful videos that will be coming up soon
Thank you so much. I really appreciate your feedback. It isn’t perfect but if someone wanted to make one spending a fraction of what they cost if you buy one already made, you’ll save yourself some money… Thanks again for your comment.!!
JUST SUBSCRIBED TO YOUR CHANNEL On today April 23/2022) love your Creativity in designing that absolutely amazing hair Topper, thanks for sharing with us, gave you a thumbs up for great creativity in Hair fashion design .
Hi, thanks so much for your informative video. I was wondering if you knew of a good place to buy a European silk top piece. I’m not sure what you call that top piece. It’s where you see your part. That’s where my hair is the thinnest. The only beauty supply I have locally is Sally’s. Thank you
Hi! Thank you for tuning in . You can try this lace closure linked here that is affordable . The best ones in my opinion are the ‘silk base closure’ . You will pay a little more for something like that but they look the most natural: www.samsbeauty.com/service/Vogue-Hair-100-Virgin-Human-Hair-HandTied-4X4-Lace-Closure-Straight-g-26140294.html
Oh, you are so sweet thank you so much… And I really would like to thank you for tuning into watch my videos… It means a lot and if I can help at least one person that I know, I did the right thing… Thanks again my friend
I would love to get my hands on this frontal wig piece! I actually WANT one that’s really thin! It will look more real on my hair. I tried looking it up and just couldn’t find it!!! :/
Hi there thanks so much for watching! I actually made this myself however the frontal piece ,as you had mentioned, Is just a frontal case you need something to actually attach it to such as a cap would you like me to look up online to see if I can find one for you? The one that I have was great and I bleached the knots which makes it even more realistic and scalp like. Let me know I could do that for you.
I bought this one at my local beauty supply store . Not a Sally’s Beauty but one that may sell hair extensions or wigs , perhaps. You may also Google bleached knot frontals or save some money and bleach the knots yourself . I think that I have a video up that shows how to bleach the knots . GOOD LUCK! Let me know if you make one , I’d love to see it !!
Yes I definitely would get a lighter lace . Transparent is possible . You may also try concealer to tweak the part , however , the lighter you can go when your complexion is more fair, the better. Hope that helps you !!
@@lovepeaceandhappinesstheha8702 just one more question: the lace that you used sort of has the shape of a lace in a t part wig right? Do you recommend a lace closure or a lace frontal?
Ive been looking at wearing toppers because since Ive went thru Menopause my hair is starting to thin the problem Im having is finding a topper that will look good and work well with very long hair my hair is 30 inches long its to may butt my hair grows very slow so I dont want to cut it to short I'm willing go cut 2 to 3 inches off but not much more the with age we all end up cutting our hair at some point but when I decide to cut my hair ar that point it will be my last time I'll ever have long hair so Im just hanging on to may hair for as long as I can. Anyways finding toppers has been impossible to find to much my length even if I can find 26 inches Im still going to be approx 6 inches short. If I special order a topper its going to be very expensive and I dont wsmt to spen a ton of money for something I dont know if I will like. So this has given my a great option to make my own I cant wait to start working on it. I was thinking about using a human synthetic blend because its cheaper then using all real hair. The blend will have real hair and some synthetic so hopefully it will look and feel more natural then all synthetic hair. Ive had such a hard time finding info on which toppers to use for really long hair or know how long of a toppper to get I found one video where a lady said wheh getting a topper order the topper 2 inches longer then your own hair so for me that would be 32 inches. Thats if the lady was correct on how to measure the length for a topper. Sorry my comment is so long not trying to bore you 😊 Anyways Thank You for sharing your DIY topper looks great... Maybe you could one day do a video showing us newbie toppers ppl the different topper for different lengths of hair and topper for different thinning areas. Like with ne its on the top middle towards the front thats getting thin maybe someone like me wouldn't need a lot of coverage I have no bold spots just thinning in that area. So maybe that something you may want to do I havent found anyone else doing that type of content. Thank you, Best Wishes, God Bless
im a little confused about one thing. Did you keep gluing rows from the bottm all the way UP to the closure? or stop where the video stops and then what happens with the middle cap and are you sewing the frontal to a part beneath? it looks great at the end looks like alot of rows of wefts im just confuse about the middle part of the instructions from 7:40
Thank you for watching my video. I’m really happy you’re interested in it. Seven minutes and 40 seconds into my video. I am sewing in a closure that is lace. I didn’t make that part but I did sew it into the very top of my topper. I didn’t go all the way up with the hair Wirth I think it would be too bulky I like mine to have quite a bit of hair on them, however… I typically will go 2 to 3 rows up for a dense hair topper it appeared to take a 3/4 swig if you would like to have some a little bulky, you could probably go to Rose. I wouldn’t go any less than that. Otherwise you would see the tracks that I am gluing on in the video. It looks like I am gluing closer to the nape area. But it’s not I just it positioned that way on the mannequin head. What you could do is start up a little higher than what I did to make it less dense and so right up to the lace closure wherever you’re going to be putting that so that it hides the left. I hope that was clear. I know that part is a little tricky, once closure is sewn in it will come together. I could always make another video. I’ll be making a hair topper soon and I could get the camera a little closer if that will help just make sure that you subscribe and keep a watch for new videos that pop up because I will create another one for you to help. Thanks again. Xxoo
thanks for the clarification , i get it now. I have never worked with wig glue and made one before I make hair pieces by sewing and used closures before but not tried this. Thanks for your detailed explanation and tips. @@lovepeaceandhappinesstheha8702 Ok GOOD. Ill be looking out for your new video when its up

Oh Wow You are amazing. Were you nervous spending the money on the hair and not knowing how good it would turn out? I was getting ready to buy one but I think I may attempt to make my own now.
I watched a couple women make half wigs on TH-cam what a hair topper is almost… I have a hair license but once I started it was really easy…I hope it helps you and if you have any questions don’t hesitate to reach out to me if I can help you I will

That is a little hard and I wouldn’t know how to do that since you need to start with a base (like in my video) when making a topper since they are for coverage.
The stocking is a permanent part of the topper except for at the very end I flip it over after I’m done putting the wefts on. I cut the opening where the stocking is away from the top (lace frontal piece) that I added so when I flip it over, the very first piece that I added on the top before I added wefts … I very carefully cut the stocking away from that so it’s kind of like a small little U-shaped almost…. so it’s exposed and it looks more like a scalp when you place it on your head…. if that makes sense
They is just from the glue that I used . It is a quick method and it’s not that bad because you don’t see the shiny stuff underneath and it gives the base of the top or actually some structure so it actually works out to your benefit in most cases
Hi there ! So sorry for the delay! No I actually sewed this with special needle and thread (for hair) . You can buy this at most hair shops . The only real difference is the needle is bigger and the thread is also thicker. I sew this on to the stocking cap. If you take a look at a few of my videos where I make toppers , there’s a more in-depth explanation of that . I hope that helps !! Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions! Xxxoo
Which lace closure you used? I mean which lace been used to make this closure? Swiss, hd or what? Bcoz it look so natural and hard to detect. The lace closure i have not look natural..anyone can detect the lace where the part is.
That’s a great question. I’m not exactly sure what kind of lease it actually was because it I bought it like that if you’re referring to the very top piece which is the frontal or closure some people use but the reason it may look Unrealistic is because when they tie or so in each piece of hair into the lace it tends to leave a little black dot near the scalp which causes that look. I think I have a video that shows you exactly what to do as far as bleaching knots girl… It’s definitely worth a look…you can do this on human hair Definitely check it out it’s worth looking into if you’re going to do it yourself but it may I remind you it’s a little tricky
Aww thank you so much ! You are a dear !!!! Subscribe if you can do you can see all hacks that’s I do to save time and money !!!! Thanks again for Watching my videos!!!
Hi Karen! Yes I will do a video like that absolutely! I do have this one th-cam.com/video/7uiStD1hq7w/w-d-xo.html But this one doesn’t go too much in depth . I could make a more detailed one if that’s something you would want to see ! Thanks for the feedback! :)
Hey Leah! Thank you so much for messaging you should totally do it!! I’m here if you have any questions just make sure that you get something that would say Remy hair in it this hair that I got was amazing it’s super easy and it still last thing after all the washes . I decided to make my own because honestly I can’t afford the human hair ones that are out there I did purchase a couple high-end ones that were nice but just did not last and nobody makes them nice and thick. I definitely will post some pretty cool hacks soon To save you money while doing some pretty cool DIY things ! Thanks again for commenting and if there’s anything that you would like to see or would like a video on just let me know. Give the topper a try you won’t be sorry
Well thank you again for sharing it helps us to save money on toppers , they can be very pricey. And would rather do my own custom make it how I want it plus I'll get to save lol 😊
Leah Zavala You got it if you have any questions or uncertain where to be looking for certain hair please feel free to reach out to me. If your hair is more of a European texture such as Caucasian I would consider honestly… And again I’m not a pro at making these just yet ha ha but I find that anything that is considered Remy hair in a texture silky or light yaki works .
Thank you so much for this video! I am needing a topper desperately ... as fast as I can get / make one! I have been dealing with thinning for quite some time and hiding it as much as I could having curly hair. But now on meds which seemed to have pushed thinning over the edge and losing chunks with every shampoo. I have a concern if you cut away so much of the cap, doesn't that weaken what the wefts are attached to? It's only made with "stocking" material and that stuff runs like crazy! As it runs it is threads. thin. Doesn't that put the strength of the "cap" (and so the topper) at risk to come apart? Thank you again! So grateful for this! 💗🙏🌺
No it doesn’t come apart because you’re only cutting away on the top the stocking cap so it’s gonna expose the lace making it more natural and have a scalp like appearance ...so the first thing you’re going to put down on your Styrofoam head is your stocking cap. It looks like a small pantyhose type of material and then you put your hairpiece on the small frontal and where you’re going to glue the wefts of hair to is the stocking cap. When you’re done flip it over and you will see there’s a little separation between the stocking cap and the frontal because there’s no glue there. That is where you typically would maybe part your hair and you can just remove that section and the outside band of the stocking cap where it gets tighter the reinforced section . You should be good to go
@@lovepeaceandhappinesstheha8702 OMG Thank you so much for replying back!!! I am quarantined after a lumpectomy, but I will try this when I am out and about!!! ☺️💗🙏🌺

I totally would it really isn’t that hard to do and you save yourself a literally hundreds of dollars… Don’t get me wrong the ones that are worth hundreds of dollars are well worth it and I do buy them as well for myself but if you would like to do something like this on a budget it’s definitely well worth the money
You are so sweet thank you so much it’s my first go around and I’ve been watching the sisters till there’s like no tomorrow to try to figure out the best way to do these and I’ll tell you what they were the best teachers for me I still don’t have it down to a science but I’m learning and I wanted to share with anyone that wanted to do it on their own. Thanks again for the love Vick
Love , Peace and Happiness The hair guru you’re welcome😊 that’s awesome! I haven’t seen many videos on toppers, but my best friend randomly asked me to make her one as she knows I do hair and Love a good challenge lol but it came out pretty good for my first one. This was a good video to watch for me to have an idea of how to start it, I did a short layered one and sewed it on a mesh dome cap. Thank you for your video! TH-cam is great!
Vick B if you have any Questions doing it , email my , I’ll give ya my number . If you’re looking for some decent hair that’s a tangle free decent one , try aria hair . It’s also nice for Caucasian /African American clientele as well . I use 14 in and normally 2 bundles if you want full hair
Thank you for this video! I have a silk base closure and will try to do this. What type of wig cap is that. I see a white one underwear the black one. Or maybe my eyes are deceiving me lol
Apologize for not getting back to you sooner I’m just seeing this now. The cat that I used was a stocking cap yes it is rather thin but it works best and will provide less bulk when wearing !
Lilly2710 if you do make one , email me pics ! I’d love to see it . Any questions making one , let me know and you can always call if you run into a snag making it
I actually wrap mine in plastic bag ( shopping bag) and tape the neck with packing tape. You should be hood with duct tape . That’s an even better solution . Thanks for watching and please like and subscribe! Join the family !’
@@lovepeaceandhappinesstheha8702 i don't know how I missed that in the video. I tried to make my first one and when i finished it was glued to my block head, lol yes I definitely subscribed thank you
I'm actually looking to turn a 13×6 human hair lace frontal piece into a hair topper. I originally bought it to make a full wig, but I'm not confident enough to make a wig lol online videos make wig making look so easy, but it's really not 😅 I paid alot for this frontal, it's 14 inches long and I'd hate to ruin it bc I don't know what I'm doing.😊
A topper it probably has a little bit easier to make. Although once you start to make it, you have the option to keep on going or to stop where it’s at. Hey… If I can do it, you can do it! Thanks for watching my video!
Hi Loretta , great question!!!!! I kept them fairly close half inch or so . Remember it’s only half of the head that you’re doing ( hair topper) ..... the closer that you make the tracks the thicker the hair will be the more space that you provide in between it will be less bulky and a little bit more manageable .I believe I did do a half-inch
Malinda Smith If you Google each product described in the video you should be able to order each . I believe my other video where it shows me making another full hair topper I think in the description box I have the products described and links to each one
Hi Karrie there is a hair store close to me in Pennsylvania. Let me find some details . I was pleased . I was thinking of creating a few and selling them but at an unbelievable cost . Some are worth it but not everyone has the money ( I know I don’t ) . Let me look for some links for this hair
Susan Collings hi and thanks for watching ! I used out 5 rows . You can make it less than that depending on the thickness you would like . I like mine pretty thick ! Are you going to make one ?
Hey there! Try using the Brand Aria You can buy it online to I believe I sent a link to it hopefully you can see it in the comment section if not you can search for it online and it should have all the different colors my beauty supply store that is a local place sells that I was lucky enough to get it without buying it online but it’s not that expensive at all and it’s decent hair for all women Texture wise
That is strange I have to look at another website because I did buy blonde that I used to make a topper with it’s not a very light blonde but it’s more like a medium blonde which is fairly nice let me look around for you and I’ll give you some options
OK so I found the website below for you I’ve never ordered from them so I do not know the hair quality however it is reasonable and they do have good reviews take a look at their hair m.stemahair.com/613-virgin-human-hair-weave-natural-straight-p-75.html

Hi there !! To complete a topper? It depends on what kind of hair you have if it’s an average human hair with a decent frontal with thread, glue, and stocking cap etc. I would say probably under $200 dollars US . Give or take .
Hi Kurda !Thank you so much for your kind words and thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to look at my videos. You certainly can ask me any question you want if you feel you want to post them you can do so or if you would like to email me my address is in the description box and I would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have
@@lovepeaceandhappinesstheha8702 thank you 😊! How long does the glue last through all the washes and wears? Where do you buy human hair online? If I want to make a silk base, do you know any website where I can get silk material? Thank you for your time :)
Hi Kurda! The glue lasted in a stocking cap for months . I normally would wash and condition once a week or approximately every four times I would wear it . I know that’s excessive, but it held up. I purchased my hair at a beauty store specifically for hair (locally ) brand was ‘Aria’ I liked that the best . You can google Aria hair and find that . The silk base you can use a closure piece already hand tied strand by strand ( otherwise unless you are experienced). For those you can google ‘silk base closures’ I’ve seen them as cheap as $10.00 on up to $100+ ... depending on hair quality . If you be European Hair ( Caucasian) is go with a silky texture or light yaki ,possibly ;)
I've almost completed my wig. Not to bad for my 1st try, but I can't figure out who to complete the top where the part should be. I have about a 1 1/2" gap to fill. Can someone tell me how to do that? I can't seem to find a video of someone explaining how they do it. They just do it and do it too fast so I can't even see how they do it. I would really appreciate anyone's help. Thanks.
NYAZWoman Hi there and thanks for watching please get 214; 51 of the video and it will show you exactly what I did on the top. You want to look for a frontal pIece
Yes a glue gun definitely will work you just have to do it in smaller sections the glue strips because the hot glue gun dries fast but otherwise that’s definitely doable and it might be better off if you have blonder hair because I use dark Bonding glue and it definitely would show up and blonde hair so give that a shot get a cheaper glue gun and just work in smaller sections as you wrap the wefts Of hair around the head you should be good to go I’m going to look online for some different alternatives and hair for you what color are you talking about like a dirty blonde or is it more later blonde you’re looking for?
Make it any desired if you’re only need of a little bit of hair you may width or thickness . You want to opt out of the additional tracks of hair (or wefts) . I tend to like my in a bit thicker it’s just a personal preference is all . You can cater it to your needs.
When I created that video I was just learning how to edit videos… But you get the general idea of how to create a topper from the video… That’s the main thing
Susan Collings Hey Susan I know it makes you sick when you think of how much you spent on things that you weren’t totally happy with. Try this website this is where you can purchase the hair from I actually purchased mine through a local beauty supply place www.ebonyline.com/janet-collection-virgin-human-hair-weave-8to18-inch-aria-yaky-wvg.html. I like the hair because it represents many different hair types the only downfall is there’s not a huge color selection and most of the colors are fairly dark or however they do carry lighter colors because I’ve mix that in with some of my toppers they do have some blonde colors that are fairly nice
I have seen toppers that have dimensions of the exact measurements that I have done on my handmade one. It all depends on the circumference of your head. I suppose I have also seen whoppers if you look those up those are larger size toppers… You can call it what you want that’s fine, but it’s definitely not a wig
After seeing your video ive used this method myself a few times and made toppers! saved £100's doing this. Thank you

Would you say that the color of the lace matters for this? Should I get a transparent lace if I am pale?
Yes I definitely would get a lighter lace . Transparent is possible . You may also try concealer to tweak the part , however , the lighter you can go when your complexion is more fair, the better. Hope that helps you !!
@@lovepeaceandhappinesstheha8702 omg thank you for the quick response 😊
@@lovepeaceandhappinesstheha8702 just one more question: the lace that you used sort of has the shape of a lace in a t part wig right? Do you recommend a lace closure or a lace frontal?
Glad to help! I hope the videos helped as much as possible for you !!
Where can I get the Vivica lace part that you showed in this video. Thank you 🙏
if you google that you will find will find all things mentioned.
can I please ask you for the link of the same lace closure?
I actually didn’t buy the lace closure online I bought it at a local beauty store.
Awesome job!
Riena Knox thank you so much
Ive been looking at wearing toppers because since Ive went thru Menopause my hair is starting to thin the problem Im having is finding a topper that will look good and work well with very long hair my hair is 30 inches long its to may butt my hair grows very slow so I dont want to cut it to short I'm willing go cut 2 to 3 inches off but not much more the with age we all end up cutting our hair at some point but when I decide to cut my hair ar that point it will be my last time I'll ever have long hair so Im just hanging on to may hair for as long as I can. Sorry my comment is so long not trying to bore you 😊
Anyways Thank You for sharing your DIY topper looks great...
My sister donated 3 ponytails when she cut her hair, how do I make those into a topper?
That is a little hard and I wouldn’t know how to do that since you need to start with a base (like in my video) when making a topper since they are for coverage.
Is the stocking cap a permanent part of the topper? Is there anything else that works? Something with more structure ?
And as you start glueing, the cap looks shiny. Did you coat it or add something?
Hi you glued it the frontal?
Great job

But this one doesn’t go too much in depth . I could make a more detailed one if that’s something you would want to see ! Thanks for the feedback! :)
Thanks for sharing I luv it! I now want to try and make my own
Leah Zavala my first one I made was a keeper . I’m still wearing it !
Nice👍I'll let you know how good it will look lol once I start on my topper wish me luck 😊

Any questions making one , let me know and you can always call if you run into a snag making it
What did you cover your styrofoam head with? Will it be ok if mine is cover with duck tape?
I actually wrap mine in plastic bag ( shopping bag) and tape the neck with packing tape. You should be hood with duct tape . That’s an even better solution . Thanks for watching and please like and subscribe! Join the family !’

@lovepeaceandhappinesstheha8702 thanks! 🙂
How far apart do you glue the weffs on the cap?
Hi Loretta , great question!!!!! I kept them fairly close half inch or so . Remember it’s only half of the head that you’re doing ( hair topper) ..... the closer that you make the tracks the thicker the hair will be the more space that you provide in between it will be less bulky and a little bit more manageable .I believe I did do a half-inch
Thank you 😊

what was total cost?
Hi there !! To complete a topper? It depends on what kind of hair you have if it’s an average human hair with a decent frontal with thread, glue, and stocking cap etc.
I would say probably under $200 dollars US . Give or take .
Looks amazing 😍, and you make it look so easy. I'm convinced to make my own now :)! I would love to ask a few questions if you don't mind?

Just google closures and add it in there depending on how wide you just need that if you want human hair that can by dyed make sure it’s virgin hair
This is only a quick video on how to create a topper . I have a video that I created for foil highlights in Virgin human hair
Dove siete grazie
Could I use a glue gun to make one please I find the white glue isn't very good
Yes a glue gun definitely will work you just have to do it in smaller sections the glue strips because the hot glue gun dries fast but otherwise that’s definitely doable and it might be better off if you have blonder hair because I use dark Bonding glue and it definitely would show up and blonde hair so give that a shot get a cheaper glue gun and just work in smaller sections as you wrap the wefts Of hair around the head you should be good to go I’m going to look online for some different alternatives and hair for you what color are you talking about like a dirty blonde or is it more later blonde you’re looking for?
Hi, you are amazing.
are you in New York?
Hi there thank you so much for watching and I appreciate your comments I am not in New York but I am not far from New York
This looks like a wig. Where does the topper end?
Make it any desired if you’re only need of a little bit of hair you may width or thickness . You want to opt out of the additional tracks of hair (or wefts) . I tend to like my in a bit thicker it’s just a personal preference is all . You can cater it to your needs.
The topper ends wherever you end it with the hair wefts and place your clips (or however you were going to secure it to your own hair ).
You look like Kelly Clarkston.
Grace Kunal haha well thank you . I hope that is a compliment. I think she is great .
How did you glue the side bits on ... like what angle ? X
As soon as I was able , I incorporated the sides in to the measurements. Starting with the back first

www.ebonyline.com/janet-collection-virgin-human-hair-weave-8to18-inch-aria-yaky-wvg.html.
I like the hair because it represents many different hair types the only downfall is there’s not a huge color selection and most of the colors are fairly dark or however they do carry lighter colors because I’ve mix that in with some of my toppers they do have some blonde colors that are fairly nice
Olá, qual valor em reais Brasil.
😊
thats not a topper.. thats a quick wig . great job thou...
You could call it what you want LOL... the diameter with my head size ...,It is a Topper for me it doesn’t go down as a wig would , 🤦♀️
Terry is correct. This wouldn’t be considered a topper
I have seen toppers that have dimensions of the exact measurements that I have done on my handmade one. It all depends on the circumference of your head. I suppose I have also seen whoppers if you look those up those are larger size toppers… You can call it what you want that’s fine, but it’s definitely not a wig
