- Hey guys - this was the first time I'd plugged in my new signature guitar from Ibanez! The tag is still on the guitar! Hope you enjoy this sneak preview of this amazing, made in Japan, instrument.

I don't know what roasted the maple fretboard: Ibanez's production methods or Tom's legato.

Every TQM1 ordered gets its neck played by Tom for 1 hour before shipping to ensure that maple fretboard has that freshly roasted smell.

Yea the AZ is going for that Suhr /Charvel/Kramer superstrats market.
Oystein Haugen I get that people are identifying these with a response to suhr an charvel type guitars but the truth is that Ibanez had the RT and S series way back in the late 80's and early 90's which can compete against those 3k suhrs.
I'd love to compare the MM1/TQM1 and Guthrie's Charvel all side by side. I did try the Guthrie Govan Suhr and did not like it at all.

I'm impatient to try one!! And you definitely deserved a signature model. Ibanez did a smart move having you in their artists roster. Although I like the whole AZ series performance-wise, the only one that looks good to my eye is your model, thank you for that!

Love this guy in general, so humble, you really deserved to be where you are now, and don't be so modest to stand where you are next to your inspirations like Satch, petrucci etc cause you're on the same level if not better! To me your guitar playing sounds much more musical than them, ever considered a solo album? cheers

I know practice is a key to achieving your goals but sometimes its just natural God given talent that produces the sounds and the technique you posses.You smooth way style imo is more than just practicing.IT like Michael Jackson he went over his dance moves but they were in him to begin with,same thing with your playing, you are so smooth and just know where to go with your scales.
