    Thanks for this video. It helped me fix 3 keys that wouldn’t depress on my P125.

      @@sebastianloaiza4553 unfortunately when I put it all back together I ended up with 2 clunky keys, so I'll be taking it apart again this weekend to see if I can fix those. Also for some strange reason the keyboard no longer sits flat. It wobbles. I'll have to figure out that too.

    • @sebastianloaiza4553
      @sebastianloaiza4553  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AKDanMusicMan you will have to check key by key to analyse what is exactly blocking the correct movement (it might not be the same plastic frame obstacle as it was my case). For the keyboard not sitting flat, also check carefully when you close the piano, a small cable or rubber in the middle would be enough to block the closing. Good Luck Dan!

    wow not only do i know how to open it now but also a potential fix to my exact same problem.
    Only critique of the video tho was the camera quality filming and movement. It was hard to watch.
    But I think it is excused for the value of the information that you provided. 🙏
    God's work

    A few of my Yamaha P-125 keys are making clicking noise after a three years daily practice for one hour each day. Is it normal wear and tear? Are there better built piano keyboard that last longer without having key problems?

  • @dms_video240
    @dms_video240 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    That specific key moves more than the rest keys because a thin plastic part that keeps the key in place is broken. And that's on the upper part of the keybed. You have to open the piano to reach the upper part of the keyboard that is hidden into the chassis and put some super glue plus a a tiny piece of plastic to reinforce the broken part.

    • @sebastianloaiza4553
      @sebastianloaiza4553  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes you are totally right! but since it was a bit messier to reach and fix that area i just chose to put that tissue.
      Thank you anyways!

    5:00 ----- the cable connection method of this system seems a bit inconvenient and clunky. Poor design from whoever designed it. 12:15 ----- nice work with finding the source of the noise. The foam is a nice quick fix. It will probably be better if we can find out the reason for that particular key having more much more sideways movement than others. And that might require that section of key panel to be removed --- and inspected.

    Your intentions in making this video are appreciated but I had to look away for awhile because you kept moving the camera that it made me dizzy and a bit nauseous so it was difficult for me to follow continuously. I could just be extra sensitive to continuous moving cameras. But thanks for this. I have this digital piano but have not encountered any problems. It’s a great digital piano second in line to the Yamaha P-515 which is simply amazing.
