I can only echo the comments of Hassan. I too have struggled with a laptop to complete this task. I have just had my NBN router replaced, with the change in Wifi addressing. Thanks so much. My installer is no longer in business and being fairly tech savvy I knew it couldn’t be that hard to change. When I cam across your tutorial. Brilliantly done and I’m now up and running. The only thing I can’t see is my past 3.5 weeks data, has that been lost ??
This was very helpful when I had to change routers. If you have an assigned IP address and if you are not using the same range, heads up you need to click on the WLAN IP and change it.
Hi, Storm blew out our Telstra Modem, so got new one with new PW and had to reconnect everything including Fronius. Thank you soooooo much, this video saved me a massive headache, which I have had previously when we got the NBN. and had to connect my Fronius. Thank you. easy done !!
Thanks very much for the excellent instructions. Fronius must have formed a committee which sat down and decided how to go about making the procedure of reconnection as complicated as possible. Surely in this day and age they could have found a way of enabling reconnection with just a few clicks? There is no way most older people could carry out the procedure, even with your excellent instructions. I will definitely not recommend Fronius inverters to anyone.

It’s very out of date software my inverter is connected to wifi that it has own IP address and four green led icons but it says offline on the solar website. I can’t see any data on my app. Very stupid!
anyone got poor wifi signal issue here? my inverter cann ot see my home wifi network but when I go outside next to the inverter my phone show 2 stick from 4 mean not too bad.. and also when I turning on the inverter AP I can see next to my wifi router same signal range. They can not see each other some reason. Than I have installed a powerline wifi extender next to the inverter "about 2m" than i got 1 Stick signal.. HOW?
I am disabled ..my inverter is in my loft ..I have a new home hub so I lost the connection to the inverter...and I can't get up in my loft to reconnect ...it should all be possible from my ipad without needing to do anything on the inverter :(
Just a question that I'm unable to find an answer to, is the Fronius Primo able to be coupled with a battery system or would I be up for a new inverter in order to move to a battery solution?
Hi Nicholas. The standard range pf Fronius Primo snap inverters aren't a Hybrid (Battery Ready) inverter, but that only means that you won't be able to us it with a DC Coupled Battery. However, AC coupled batteries like the Tesla PowerWall may still be an option for you if you wish to keep the Fronius Primo.

My inverter is not even responding any longer when trying to connect. And fronius support is not answering my questions about this. I got a Symo 8.2-3M. total disaster.
My one goes offline for no reason I can find. And the SSID doesn't show up on the list. It's been running for about 4 years but goes offline randomly. Been offline for weeks now.
Cannot connect from wi fi to inverter I have asked the installer to just come and go over the set up but I will be charged over $100 I have repeatedly tried and the Fronius wi fi connection come up weak security and very slow. Won’t be recommending Corrie
Did the installer not connect to wifi originally? He should, because that’s how you get an earth fault alert. If he didn’t, the install is technically not compliant. Your inverter may be too far from your modem and may need a booster. Fronius security is the best their is, so not sure what that means.
Hi @razvann8511, your inverter either has no datamanager card (this can be confirmed by checking the model type on the underside of the Fronius inverter - if it says "light" then it has no communication module). Otherwise, your datamanager card is faulty. You can try shutting the system down fully, and restarting it, then trying the process again.
I went on Fronius website and got the contact details of Alllllll their official agents in Sydney Australia. I made phone calls to every single one of them, to make a long story short, they give me a quote of hundreds of dollars to fix the problem, and I agree to their quote, but they all call me the next day and say sorry, we can't do it. At least, one of them made me wait for two weeks but never showed up, I called them, they said sorry we can't do it, I said, you should have said that two weeks ago instead of waiting for two weeks for nothing! All these stupid technicians are the official agents/representatives of Fronius company, a world class company but they don't know anything about Fronius products, and guess what? They're all from Asian backgrounds or 3rd and 4th world countries who don't even speak English properly! These are the official Fronius agents, or should I say, Fronius cheap unskilled labour.

The second time around when I am trying to reconnect my password is not getting accepted. Is there a way to reset my admin password to default or to factory settings. Thanking you in advance. kP

this is nothing like my laptop screen and is only usefull for people using the same browser that also have login and stuff setup at solarweb from what I understand.. It relates nothing for people like me with 2 inverters side by side as It only shows the one inverter... Hows about breaking it down to the parts as a few videos rather than screaming though just one at a million miles an hour.. do you guys have to pay to get the vidoe done so fast.. Alternatives guys, show us what you can in a way a novice understands

Why the hell does the connection have to go through a third party? Why not supply the inverter with a simple app that connects directly to the inverter via wifi . People ask yourself why they provide you with a free service through their servers? You get nothing for nothing and you pay for every free service in one way or another...
It’s pretty helpful that we can see the customers monitoring from the office so we can work out if there is an issue with the solar, or explain to the customer what they are seeing. Occasionally we might have issues that we can’t resolve so we ask Fronius to look at the monitoring too. Also, the ability remotely push updates is really useful. Because all of this can happen remotely it’s at no charge to our customer. But the snap inverter also comes with a screen and their is a way to direct connect your inverter to your phone. The Gen24 has some decent info if you do that. So you can disconnect if from wifi if you like, you just won’t have the same level of support.
Please try and disconnect your mobile data when connecting to the inverter via the access point and IP address. This should help the local network page to load.
@@vonglo4587 it's not a website. It's a local access page. You will need to "only" be connected to the Fronius network in order to access the local IP address. Aside from that, you may need to contact your installer to help with further setup issues.

Oh yes we are so smart lets show people how to connect this shit inverter the only way we know how.Lets say the inverter is directly connected to the modem and a laptop also directly connected with a cable.No problems with internet WiFi on 2 meters away from inverter alas no connection no data no nothing.Access point activated not connecting to nothing.SHIT INVERTER and if it is the best God help us the end user.

That's odd!
Because your fronius doesn't give you Internet. You're just connecting to the fronius so you can access its settings to reconnect to your WiFi.
Do you have to connect to Wi-Fi for your solar to work?

That’s a worry. I’d try a firmware update, and the good old turn it off and on again trick. Another issue may be your modem.

sry, think it a VPN getting in the way. so if you have similar, try disconnecting your vpn

Wow, that’s a concerning comment! Which country are you from. We’ve installed about 4500 Fronius inverters and always find their warranty to be great!
