Im currently phantom 5 and main Vindicta, Its a bit of a dumb question but I'm being impactful on my team but am I lowkey throwing by not playing more meta characters?
I play a melee Paradox build. It’s incredible fun. Last game, I killed one, then I got jumped by 2 others into a small creeper room near their spawn. I used bomb and barrier, and just hammered them, dealing damage to both of them at the same time. Geist even tried to ult me but it happened too fast.
I wouldn't mind an in depth look into every hero when doing the tier list. Some of us are here just to see if you talk about our favorite hero (McGinnis, sigh 😢) and want to confirm our biases or be pleasantly surprised. You're pretty much my only source of information for this and the meta changes every 2 weeks so it would be cool to get a more detailed update. Appreciate the content though bro, thank you.
@@eebbaa5560 McGinnis has been nerfed literally every patch for the last month and is about average for skill expression (so not "braindead"). The only people I've seen say she's braindead and op are people who've never played her.
i've recently been using Tesla Bullets on my Lash (and Paradox actually) and the value those 2 get out of it is insane, because they have "burst" weapons that proc the chain lightning about once on average and the 2 hits after the first one do more damage than the first, which hit quite well, since i'm building a good chunk of spirit on both, so i feel like it's a hidden gem for those two, as it also helps so much with clearing jungles and waves so fast, you don't even have to use any skills. 3-4 "bursts" and whole wave is dead, a little more for jungle
Been following Ronald's build for a while. Good callout, definitely great how often he keeps it up-to-date. Would also recommend watching his videos to get an idea of how he plays his builds.
It's crazy how Yamato is almost immortal right now. I played a game where she had a super low cooldown ultimate and with refresher it was almost impossible to take her down.
i like the way the meta has been shaping up over the past few months. i think the economy still needs some adjustments, but overall, i like that the lane phase is longer and more interactive now while making also making games end at a more consistent time of 30-35 min and not going on for too long or too short. i personally want to see the snowballing toned down along with some of the comeback mechanics, but this patch has been pretty fun so far compared to last patch which i honestly found pretty miserable. as for the heroes, i think i’ve just come to terms with the fact that there’s going to be a lot of uninteractive and unfun heroes to play against. my only hope is that they at least try to maintain some level of skill expression in some of the kits and release new heroes that actually feel interesting to play with and against. the hero labs are promising so far with calico, trapper, holliday, etc. so hopefully those heroes will spice up the game some when they release.
Really the only issues I see right now, in terms of heroes, are Geist (mostly her bomb in laning phase) and Yamato (mostly her ult, especially now that it heals, and DOUBLE especially if she uses that item that can reset her ult)
How do you feel about/have you seen or tried haze ganking build? I've been rushing slowing bullets + slowing hex in ascendant games and it ganks very effectively now with the ult fire rate buff. Lane is rough as always with haze but once I get burst fire I feel like i can kill any solo hero on the map, much like a wraith would, and then with warp stone soon after noone can escape the ult. With being able to use items in ult i feel you get a lot more value out of the ults duration than before, as you can actually stay on people.
Ivy is slept on currently especially as her gun builds are still extremely strong for running down players. Overall the kudzu/ult build is better especially in a coordinated team, however you end up heavily cooldown dependent on when you can take engagements. Depending on game state a hybrid build starting with heavier investment into gun build and then buying range/cooldown has been working extremely well, especially when teammates lose their lane early game. Worst case scenario you full econ into support ivy and you still have the ult to intiate/run urns
Knockdown is the best item in the game. I’ve been putting it on gray talon to make it super easy to land consecutive charged shots. Also what do you think about putting long range and sharpshooter on infernos? Now that it takes more shots to add your DOTs, the way the long range buff works means you apply more DOT buildup uo at range then you would without the item.
Deathy, In the part where you said that you didn't talk about all the characters, because you've already talked about them before, you can give a great CTA (Call to action) for people to go to your past videos. talk about this more at the end of the video, and explain the importance of watching the changes of all the heroes
What is the point of the ball if you aren't also using your 3 punches? Wouldn't selling punch items be counter intuitive? It's just a meme build. If you upgrade melee lifesteal it actually gives Viscous at 90% slow on hitting his 3. Makes team fights extremely disruptive with him if you're rolling around in ball form while casting your 3 punches, gaining lifesteal, and slowing anyone hit to a crawl.
Yamato and Lash are so op in this patch... especially Yamato. Feels so damn impossible to beat her if you're even a bit behind, her heals are crazy high and her damage + chase mobility make it impossible to fight her as a low mobility character.
Interesting that you say you were double guessing placing Pocket in Very Good. I get that it’s based on top level play, but Pocket’s seeing around 55% win rate since the patch and all they gave him was slightly better scaling on Barrage.
I have been playing haze ult build and climbing steadily, yea metal skin and return fire counters her but her ult duration lasts longer than metal skin and return fire , whats more u can now time the unstoppable activation in the ult which means you can stop any stun while channeling in her ult. ( just stay away from yamatoes)
For GT specifically, what about when the GT just buys debuff remover and has superior stamina? There's almost always knockdowns on the enemy team on my games in mid MMR, but I still commonly have ranked games where I don't die a single time while carrying high damage kills and assists. (Clarification: do you see GT as still good or very good in high MMR when they run those items? Thanks!)
Any gun build recommandation for yamato ? I picked a random one in the list one while on the zipline of my first game with her and ended up carrying the lobby, 20k more damage than the 2nd highest damage, definitely broken
Does anyone know if headhunter gives the damage bonus and 8% heal for every single bullet without a global cooldown? Or is there a passive cooldown on it?
Its funny that yamato didnt even change that much. She used to hhave more or less thhe same shit while being not able to die. Now she got that stuff buck in a slighlty nerfed version plus is able to die and everyone freaks out.
She had less duration, no heal on activation, and no added duration on kill before. It can make the ult last very long and make it very hard to end ult on low health compared to before
Feel infernus is alot less opressive than before. 2 month ago he was a tank. Now he struggle to put his fire . Ricochet nerf , toxic bullet . Catalyst nerf. Wraith/pocket is just a more secure pick for me. Infernus is just not a strong carry anymore.
imo viscous is not great in low-mid tier MMR for a majority of games because team fights are usually all over the place shiv usually still dominates because people will follow him into a corridor and 3v1 😂
I mean, If there are no tanks around you can always majestic leap in, hit ult to send them back to base, then briefcase while your teleport thing goes to safety😂 unless you targeted someone with slowing hex, in which case, bye bye pocket lol
@cybergarrett Okay the enemies used debuff remover, now what? This play works when there is a team fight and the tank is taking aggro, but when your entire team is made of glass cannon characters then it's hard to gain value from your ult and maintain pressure. Also majestic leap isn't even meta anymore for pocket, the top players use veil walker.
