  • There were a couple of mistakes while filing this. While i could have edited them out, I left them in to show that even if you are very familiar with these parts, It's still a pain sometimes.

Thank you very much for the videos! I ordered a match grade sear spring and while cleaning my MP5 (technically MKE T94), I wanted to see how easy it is to take it out and put it back in again. I kind of underestimated the strength of that spring and how difficult it would be to get it back in place with the sear installed. Thanks to your video I figured out to take out the sear (I left the hammer in and pinned it in place with a zip-tie), then put in the spring, then lift the end that rests on the sear and fix it with a pin and then put the sear back in.
Took me well over 30 minutes of messing around unsuccessfully before I went back to you video (had it favorited a long time ago thinking "I have an MP5 and I like to mess around with stuff I shouldn't mess around with, this will come in handy some time") and it still took me a good 20 minutes afterwards (mainly trying to get the sear out without taking the trigger pin all the way out, so the trigger would stay in place), but at least I was making progress, unlike before :)

Really, really helpful! I'll agree with the "more light comment if you decide to do this again, but between this video and the HK Armorer's Burst Pack manual, I was able to get everything in without breaking the Unobtanium Chineseium compression rod!
One thing I do, now that I'm an expert ;), is to use a small set of skinny needle nose pliers to hold the selector switch thingie ( the one you press down when installing the Ambi set of controls as the last step) and the counting wheel more easily falls into place.
    Thanks again man!!

+mimi lee I agree. More light would have helped. I always appreciate constructive criticism.

Fabulous video. Is there a way to just add the auto sear without taking the pack down to the trigger install? I have a new auto sear and I would like to just install it on a burst pack that I have that is currently semi-auto.

The camera was dropped that night. I'm now sure that the sound is the auto focus. Not sure if the clicking is from being dropped or just having to refocus because it was so close. And you're welcome.

TRYING TO DO A HK G3 TRIGGER CONVERSION TO SEMI,NEED HELP?

If you go on HKpro.com there are great detailed pictures. It's not too hard. The biggest thing is cutting the section of the frame out where the hole for the auto sear pin goes. Other than that adding (welding in) a stop so the trigger can not travel too far.
