I agree! I have been using Krown for 2 years now on my Cummins turbo diesel before winter starts and I have ZERO rust yet! Stuff works amazing I soak down all my door hinges and hood hinges as well.. the stuff apparently soaks INTO the metal.. and stays protecting it for a very long time because of it! I did a lot of research on the best undercoat and Krown is one of my top products 👍🏻
@@BiffsEquipment I live in Michigan we use a lot of salt in the winter things don't stay nice for long around here. I have a 2015 ram 3500 that has been getting krown sprayed since new. I have no rust on my truck I get it sprayed on every year. I also use the spray cans and cover my trailer. It works good for electrical connections as well.
@@simpleman4196 awesome man! Thanks for telling me your experience! I live in Upstate NY so I also know way too well about salt covered roads in the winter.. we don’t use any sand up here just purely salt even if we only get a dusting they still coat the roads with salt.. these dodge trucks are made out of thin sheet metal for the body’s and typically will rot out in no time and so far the body on my truck is like brand new.. it’s a 1999 Dodge Ram that I bought from New Mexico so it looked like the day it rolled off the assembly line when I brought it up here to WNY.. and I gotta say it still looks just as good only a bit oilier! Haha
I like it when companies send you products. That gives us a chance to see the products in actual use. I don’t always believe the marketing ads on TV, but I have followed you long enough to know you will give an honest review. I will be looking forward to see what you think of the products. The new area looks great.
Awesome video GP, thanks a ton for the shout out that was very nice of you! That area looked so much better after you got done with it, and for a guy who doesn’t work with spreading gravel on a regular basis you did a fine job! A little wood glue and a few finish nails would get that siding straightened out so no big deal there, we’d all be lying if we said we never got to close to something with the bucket before! Haha. Can’t wait for your next video when you spread the rest of that stone and I really hope you feel better after your Covid shot.. I refuse to get mine but know a lot of people who have and they are fine. Your one of my favorite TH-camrs! Get well soon!! 👍🏻
Hey good day Biff! You're most welcome and thanks for the help. I actually did much better using your advice - I still had a couple of half buckets during the day, but overall, had many more full buckets than I would normally. All better now so no worries. If I may ask, how many inches of the crusher would you say would be good on that area, to be able to say it is done, at least for a while?
@@GPOutdoors sure thing buddy! And I saw that! You did a great job and were def able to get more gravel in it looked like, once you broke it up and pulled some back even tho the stone looked wet it def helped cuz you were able to come in and get nice full buckets 👍🏻 As to the stone and how deep.. personally what I would have done was removed that material that you started doing in the very beggining all together, I woulda removed about 4” or so and used it for fill around your yard and then filled it level with stone up to your existing driveway.. being that you would have 4” of stone if you did it that way I would think you’d get another few years before it settled enough to have to add a new topcoat.. and once you topcoated it again then you’d prolly be able to go 4 years or so depending on how wet that spot stays. The way you did it was fine also but it won’t last as long but that’s ok as too can just add more stone over time when it settles/sinks during the wet season.. eventually the stone should start to pack in and hold a decent enough base to where you will only have to touch it up once every so many years with the rest of your driveway. Now if you get stone every single year to re-finish your driveway this won’t really matter as you’ll be putting a fresh top coat on it yearly anyways at which point the way you did this Job should be totally fine.. but next time I would recommend digging it out at least 2-4” to get down to some more solid ground all while being able to stack the stone deeper so that it can create a nice base for your future top coats. (That’s the general consensus anyways) lol. To answer your question I’d say as long as the area doesn’t stay too wet you should be ok with the amount you used for another year.. but if you can add another inch or two it’s only gonna help stiffen it up. If it feels nice and tight as it is tho then try leaving it and seeing how things feel as time progresses, worst case you may wanna add a bit more in the fall if it feels loose still. Hope this helps buddy! Again great job!

I have had mixed results with crusher run near the house. It is an ideal base if compacted with a vibrator, but it tracks miserably into the cottage on your shoes. I have covered my base with clean crushed granite 1/2 to 3/4 inch which does not pack but does not track indoors. And if it's available, granite (or similar) is much better than limestone gravel, albeit more expensive.
How's she goin'? Nice job GP. Getting the box blade in there to root out those weeds worked out real well. Nice job spreading the gravel too. Nice and level. That clapboard that got bumped, well that's just a character mark for the cottage!!! Take care!!

My second Moderna vaccination was in February. About 12 hours later I was in a Pisten Bully snow groomer and it hit me. I barely got back to base and was really sick for another 10 hours or so, slept some of it. Didn't really feel 100% for a few weeks. Was fine after the first shot. Glad I got it though.
Morning John. Good to hear I am not the only one - everyone else in the family just felt it for a few hours to a day or so. Take good care and all the best!
I have found that a bolt on cutting edge helps when back blading with the like you were doing in this video. I just have the Kubota smooth cutting edge, as opposed to some kind of tooth bar. I got it just to prevent wear on the bucket, but because it attaches ti the underside of the bucket edge there is a lip the thickness of the cutting edge and it helps drag material when back blading.
Morning Jan. Thanks for the great info. They asked me if I wanted to buy one when I purchased it but I didn't think I would need it. Perhaps will re-think that in the future. Thanks again!
You were doing great! I just knew you were going to be ok near the house. Hey, if a nail or two and some outdoor glue is all it takes I'd say you came out great! The old shovel and wheelbarrow are overrated! Lol! Enjoyed the bucket camera shot, always creative GP! Hope you start feeling better soon! Cheers!
Dad and I were working around the barn and I got to close to the sliding bottom rail on the door and bent it. I was ticked, I knew better than that. Got off the tractor and dad came over said we would fix it and just be more careful around the barn. He hopped on his tractor, started to pull away and ran his bucket right into the corner of the barn damaging the siding. I walked over looked at the damage, walked over to him sitting on his tractor and said "just be more careful around the barn" and we both busted up laughing.
That krown is great stuff!! Been using for years. Bummer you hit the siding but shouldn't take much to get it fixed up. I probably would have done the same.
I did something like that to the back of my house where I stored a stack of lumber last summer. Good thing I did, turns out I was getting carpenter ants in the house and soon after I moved the lumber no more carpenter ants! Nice work! Best Regards, Jay

Good morning VB! Thanks for the comment. I figure I'd be pretending if I didn't show everything. Of course, I probably should have told Carol before she saw the video last night...LOL.
Great job on the gravel. Takes a lot of practice to "master" it. Just got delivery on my LX2610. Looking forward to using it. Also, the 2nd COVID shot put me under too! Felt like the flu.
Kind of stalled after the concrete was poured. I've got some other home projects going on and hopefully lumber prices will keep falling! Hey I was achy and tired 24 hours after my 2nd dose, but fine after that. Glad you got it, but hope you're feeling better soon!
Hey GP i wanted to wait to ask this till you had owned the new tractor for a bit. Now that you've had a fair amount of seat time in both the open and enclosed tractor, do you feel that being enclosed takes away from the experience of running the tractor??
Morning BR! Not at all, to be honest. Very thankful I have it. You still get the feel of operating it just as I did with the open station. The main change was getting a feel for the higher centre of gravity. Thanks for the good question!
Surprised you were so late to the party getting the vaccine...is it difficult to get in Canada? At any rate I'm glad you got it! And I really don't think of you as a "push the envelope" kind of guy. You are always so thoughtful and careful in what you do and seem to know your own limits and capabilities. Great video!
Hey thanks kindly Andy. No - just could not get an appointment. All the girls and Carol got theirs and I just kept getting bad luck but finally got a spot. All done now - Have a great weekend!
Glad you got vaccinated, but sorry it knocked you for a loop. It didn't bother me at all, but the shingles vaccine is totally different story! Nice job on the gravel, a little more practice might be needed to reach the Mike Morgan standard though!! lol
GP, doin the same thing under my porch! Digging out the dirt with the 5ft FEL bucket makin sure I don't hit the posts, but maneuvering in a 10 ft area, I seem to be sharpening the edges of the 6ft box blade on the block wall when I turn and back up! Beats shoveling out two ft of clay! Lol
I would have put a weed barrier underneath the gravel to suppress the weeds from coming up through the gravel but I also haven't had great luck doing so either...damn weeds!!!!!!
LOL! I bought the weed fabric but after talking to my excavation friend, he said it wasn't going to help much - so I didn't. But we were both thinking it Deke! Cheers!
@@GPOutdoors oh ya bud, don't feel bad. I nailed my barn and my shop door corners. Got busy snowblowing the first time, I was in a rush. The second time I was watching my rear and my bucket caught at the front. Def an aw crap moment. But it happens big guy, no worries. Hello from Clinton Ontario :)
Gord, sorry the vax has got you down, blame it on the broken siding... I don't know if you have seen some of these guys on YT with box scrapers, but they are handy, simple tools. The trouble is you were in such a small space and the tractor is so big. Basically if you go forward using the blade, the blade bops up and down as the tractor moves with the undulations of the old road. The trick is to move backwards with it in the 'sweet spot' where the blade makes a perfectly flat surface. If you move the blade down from the sweet spot it will dig deeper as you move, and if you move the blade up from the sweet spot it will dig shallower as you move. But if you can hit the sweet spot you can make a flat plane every time. Not easy tho. Good luck!
Good for you for getting vaccinated! I know a lot of your viewers don’t believe in it. I wish everyone would just get their shot. I had my, got luck, zero side effects with both doses :) thanks for all the videos and keep it up.
I had both AstraZeneca vaccinations in March with zero side effects and I’m probably older than you? I think having these vaccinations is really the only way out of this pandemic and encourage everyone to get them.
Your videos just got put on the bad list, you said the C word. Sorry. But I agree with your comments. I hope I will not get dropped of your subscription list for no reason.
Got things looking really good Gord. I was about to start bragging on you till you ran into the house. We will just chalk it up to the side effects of the Covid shot. Take care, Ben.

Great job on the gravel. Takes a lot of practice to "master" it. Just got delivery on my LX2610. Looking forward to using it. Also, the 2nd COVID shot put me under too! Felt like the flu.
Thanks Dwayne! Congrats on the tractor - enjoy it !
To funny GP... Carol actually gave you a option.. clean up and lay the gravel or be stuck in the city for 4 weeks.
LOL! Yup - She's negotiating now... I'll be working on her walking trails again this coming week. LOL! Cheers 690!
WHOS IN YOUR TRACKER? you're filming KROWN ? lucky them OH DOUBLE SHOT lol
Morning Frankie! I'm not sure what you mean about the Tracker(?)
@@GPOutdoors u did a screen in screen shot did not see tracker driver (you) come by when yo9u were doing the cleaning goods spot...
Oh, gotcha - too much glare from the sun. Looked like there was no drier. LOL! Cheers Frankie!
Hope this made your wife happy. I would have had to concrete it and she still would not be satisfied. Work safe
LOL! Cheers Gary!
You’re running that loader like a pro, Gord! Sorry about your little mishap. Been there too 😄
Thanks so much Ed! How's the garage project going?
Hope you feel better soon, My Friend. GOD BLESS.
Thanks so much Gary!
Carnage happens. Been there many times 😂
G P great job looks nice your wife well like it to
God Bless All
PaK
Thanks Peter! All the best!
All done now - Have a great weekend!
oh gosh you broke the siding. I cringed. I feel like I always break something when I use the tractor haha
Get the paint or stain out for the siding scratch.
About the siding, been there done that. Easy fix though. Looks great!
Thanks Rick!
The one thing I can’t do very well with my bx is move my sleds around, that’s when I wish I had an lx, someday………
Glad you got vaccinated, but sorry it knocked you for a loop. It didn't bother me at all, but the shingles vaccine is totally different story! Nice job on the gravel, a little more practice might be needed to reach the Mike Morgan standard though!! lol
LOL! Good morning DA. I think I need alot more practice to catch up to him. :) Have a great weekend!
Lol
LOL! Cheers John!
If you can ever go to a gravel yard with a dump trailer..gravel is super cheap. 5 x10 trailer use to cost me 15 dollars packed full.
Thanks CM. Maybe another good reason I should consider getting a dump trailer. Have a great weekend!
Cheers!
Don't feel Bad about the Siding GP. I done that Not once but twice.
Thanks Ron! I appreciate it...:))
Good luck!
Morning David - some excellent advice - thanks! I was thinking about getting a wider box blade but haven't yet. Thanks again - all the best!
Good for you for getting vaccinated! I know a lot of your viewers don’t believe in it. I wish everyone would just get their shot. I had my, got luck, zero side effects with both doses :) thanks for all the videos and keep it up.
some glue, small brads and a little touch up paint and it never happened. it'll be our secret and we won't tell anyone lol
LOL! Thanks Leo!
That's what I need to do to my driveway
Still waiting on a fishing video!!!
:))
Again, no carharrt bibs in summer. Please
LOL! Ok, I have to ask, Mike - is it because they are too hot? :)
He wears them to keep from getting a chill with the AC blasting in the cab! Lol
Second dose of the vaccine wow I wish you luck they will never get close to me with that stuff
I had both AstraZeneca vaccinations in March with zero side effects and I’m probably older than you? I think having these vaccinations is really the only way out of this pandemic and encourage everyone to get them.
Me too. Cheers Steve!
oops, but a clean job.
Your videos just got put on the bad list, you said the C word. Sorry. But I agree with your comments. I hope I will not get dropped of your subscription list for no reason.
Not at all - always welcome. :))
Looks nice and neat ! One thumbs down, rust check franchise owner.
LOL! I understand, C2! Cheers
Got things looking really good Gord. I was about to start bragging on you till you ran into the house. We will just chalk it up to the side effects of the Covid shot. Take care, Ben.
LOL! I like that Ben, I think that's my excuse for sure now. LOL!
Known is amazing! I keep a can in my tractor all the time. The whole family uses it for our vehicles every year. I even have my own spray gun and pail for their product to do my trailers. Highly recommend.
Morning Gill! Thanks for the great feedback. I will use them more over time - happy to hear it works!
