- The evergreen number by my guru MLV Amma, this classical masterpiece from the film 'Mannadhi Mannan' was brought to life during MLV90, the 90th birthday remembrance of my guru, on 3 July, 2018. Choreographed with great love and passion for MLV amma's genius, Rama Vaidyanathan did a remarkable job while creating each of the pieces, gems from the classical dance songs sung by MLV amma for the Tamil films. It was great pleasure working together with Rama and getting this series up on the very special day of MLV90. We hope you enjoy watching as much as we did putting it together for you.
Mannadhi Mannan (Tamil: மன்னாதி மன்னன்) the film features M. G. Ramachandran, Anjali Devi and Padmini in lead roles. Original song sung by the legends T. M. Soundararajan & M. L. Vasanthakumari.

Sorry to say nothing can match TMS MLV combo. TMS eduppe super. Original enna fast pace. Padmini dance .. No one can come near. The beauty of this song was the fast pace.

கர்நாடக இசை இராகமாகிய லதாங்கியில் இசையமைக்கப்பட்டு , திருமதி சுதா ரகுநாதன் அவர்களின் குரு பாடி மாபெரும் வெற்றி பெற்ற பாடல் .
While the actors' names have been mentioned in the credits and MGR's name mentioned in the title, the names of the composers (MSV-TKR) and lyricist (Marudhagasi) have been blacked out. I guess it is too much to expect respect for composers in this social media age driven by PR.
Other tid-bits related to the song:
Kannadasan (who has written most of the songs in the movie as well as the dialogues) felt that Marudhagasi would be the perfect lyricist for this song. MSV-TKR composed eight tunes (in different ragas) for this song and MGR picked Lathangi. To that extent, MGR deserves credit for this song!!

Due Credit should have been given to Composers Viswanathan-Ramamoorthy First, then Lyricist Marudhakasi too in the Description Column. Not Fair to have omitted their names. We know, if it was another composer, 1st Credit and Prominence would have gone to him only. Here, MGR name has been projected ahead of Viswanathan-Ramamoorthy. The bias of the entire Carnatic Music fraternity is too well known as we have been observing this trend of selective recognition over the decades. That selective bias by many sections only led to top honour eluding the Great Composers which they greatly deserved. The blackout of the main architects behind the song here is deplorable. The names of the Accompanying Artists too Not mentioned.
I fully agree with you Sir. All these artists are trying to make a replica of the original compromising the hardwork and contributions made by the original team and thus projecting themselves as if they have brought these immortals.
