We all live in the yellow submarine. The yellow submarine. The yellow submarine. We all live in the yellow submarine. Man you keep taking me back to my youth and young manhood. All we need is love. Thanks for the memories. Great drawing. 😀😀😀👍
There’s a time, when I was born, lived a man who sailed to sea, and told us of his life, in the land of submarines. Great drawings! Thanks for the drawing!!!!!!!!!!! I did the tutorial and it turned out great! This will help me approve in the future!
Great video, Frank, thank you. I paint murals for my daughter's bedroom and it is time for a new one. She'll be five soon and is a big Beatles/Yellow Submarine fan, so I was needing some inspiration - thanks for the lesson! Any tips for how to easily increase the scale of a drawing without losing the dimensions? Thanks. 😊
I'm so pleased to have helped, Kate and a very happy birthday to your daughter when it comes! A simple way of increasing the scale of a small drawing is by using the grid method. For example let's say your drawing is 30cm x 20cm. You create a grid of, say, 5cm squares... which would give you six squares across by five squares down. Then on your larger drawing you simply scale up the size. A drawing of, say, 300cm x 200cm would have six squares of 50cm across by four squares of 50cm down. Then all you do is copy from the small drawing square by square. Hope that helps.
@@happydrawingwithfrankrodgers thank you so much for your help, Frank, this is very useful to me. For previous projects I have tried to use a projector to get basic outlines as a starting point. I’d go freehand for the larger objects - you can imagine it becoming a little abstract. 😉 Many thanks! My daughter was delighted with your birthday wishes! 😊
Frank can I put your drawing in my film? It’s not Spielberg stuff, just for my kids at school to see how important it is to ask artists permission to use their stuff in other projects. Just to have it in the background of our film. Hope you say yes!
hey I'm Colombian, and I liked your drawing, I don't know if you can make a drawing of the beatles with that style of yellow submarine, good video like and I subscribe
Many thanks for your comment and subscription! I'm delighted you liked my tutorial and hope you like my other videos as much. When I get back to drawing characters again I'll definitely consider doing the Beatles.
The design for the movie (and submarine) was based on Pop Art (very big in the 1960s!) Hope you enjoyed the tutorial and feel like checking out more. Happy Drawing!
