To me, this is very symbolic of a person's emotional state of mind. Every one of us will and have experienced grief in our life (submerged in an ocean of grief) but if we choose to find and hold joy within our heart (the yellow submarine) then some day we too can ascend above the grief and be as one within the sun.
This song always reminds me of one particular day when I was at school in a music lesson. I was 5 years old and the teacher was handing out all these musical instruments to the kids in class and we had to play along to yellow Submarine. I'm 38 years old now and I've never forgotten that moment.

I’ve been pressured a lot lately and was drowning in sorrow. Honestly, I felt trapped, like I was at the bottom of the ocean. But I remembered this one song I used to listen to with 4 of my friends, and it was this one. I decided to listen to it again and was succumbed by a deep feeling of euphoria, like I had won the lottery for 250 thousand dollars. My lungs imploded from singing along to this and I was really out of breath! It was a truly breathtaking experience.
My first memory of The Beatles is this old cassette my grandma used to play in the car for me because I loved it so much. It was some kind of children's version of a bunch of Beatles songs, with kids discovering all these old Beatles records and then somehow going into the universe of The Beatles. It's one of my favorite memories.
My 3 year old just discovered this song today, after seeing him take interest in my hot wheels Yellow Submarine from the Screen Time collection I put this on for him and he fell in love with the song and the animated video. It’s the sweetest thing for my mama heart to watch ♥️
Gracie Beecher Glass Onion: You’re funny. A Day in the Life: I’m about to end this man’s whole career. I Am the Walrus: Someone call? Come Together: I CANNOT MISS OUT ON THIS!!! Revolution 9: You’ve awakened the *BEAST!!* Dear Prudence: hello. Tomorrow Never Knows: y e s
I'm 24 and the movie was one of my favorites growing up. My dad was born in 1964; he was the one to introduce me to The Beatles and still loves them to this day.
I would ask my mom to play Wake Me Up Before You Go Go every day to wake me up for school. At some point it wasn't fun anymore, but I still love the song dearly.
Classics are timeless and your child's dance proves that. It seems he's being raised properly and happilly. All the best to him. Peace and love from Brazil. ✌
My two year old just said "Mama I wanna dance to Beatles!" I did the same thing as a little girl with my mom. She's currently jumping on the bed going "yellow submarine yellow submarine" one of my proudest moments as a mother
I always loved watching this when I wasn’t younger. One of the few good memories of my childhood. I hope your son gets nostalgia from this like I do to this day at 16 years old 🥲
Forget Disney. Forget Pixar. This is the greatest animated film of all time for me. The music, the Englishness, the wit, the sensory overload, the drawings and the unpredictability. Unforgettable.
It’s so true I’m 12 and watching this movie and I wish other people like this movie and thier songs like I do. I’ve listened to thier songs ALL OF THEM and I’m glad the dvds are so cheap on eBay they are so easy to get a hold of. I don’t like the Beatles just because of the value it’s because of the great music and great movies
Lol no. This is a great video and a great animation, but calling it the greatest animated film of all time is a bit much. Kind of insulting to animation masterpieces like Akira and many more.
Before my father passed away The Beatles was his favorite band, and sometimes I listen to them because they are very good songs, I love my father and this is excellent music.

This went straight to the top of the hit parade in August 1966, when I was an 8-year-old schoolboy in Warwickshire. All the grey-uniformed boys and girls loved it, especially the chorus. During breaks, we marched around the playground in a big group, arm in arm, singing the chorus over and over and over again ... until the nasty headmistress, driven to breaking point by the endless shrill repeats, banned it outright. So we carried on singing it, first at a barely discernable whisper, then slowly but surely getting louder. We had the YELLOW fever; we couldn't stop! That must have been the first time I felt the exhilaration of rebelling against adult authority ... thanks to the Fab Four! Is that why they titled the album 'Revolver' -- because they knew they were fueling a revolution that would change society irrevocably? Before The Beatles, post-war England seemed dull, drab monochrome; they burst onto the scene and made everything fun and brightly coloured! (This was also the year of the first colour TV broadcasts.) Young people today can't even begin to imagine the enormous influence The Beatles had on the entire post-war generation and the love we all felt for them for being unique, brilliant, exciting, funny and FREE.
One of the first beatles songs I ever heard. I remember living with my mom and great-grandma circa 2010. Mom would be cleaning and I heard the beatles on her playlist. I instantly loved them.
I’ve seen a comment similar to this one. It’s an odd comparison because both Disney/Pixar and the fine people behind this music video are going for completely different feelings in their works. If you’re more drawn to this trippy “fantastic planet” art style then I can understand that, the whole trippy artstyle can be a lot more visually interesting, but I don’t see the use in claiming one is better than the other when they (generally) are complete opposites.

To me, this is very symbolic of a person's emotional state of mind.
Every one of us will and have experienced grief in our life (submerged in an ocean of grief)
but if we choose to find and hold joy within our heart (the yellow submarine)
then some day we too can ascend above the grief and be as one within the sun.

This song always reminds me of one particular day when I was at school in a music lesson. I was 5 years old and the teacher was handing out all these musical instruments to the kids in class and we had to play along to yellow Submarine. I'm 38 years old now and I've never forgotten that moment.
I remember in middle school or elementary all the songs they taught seemed to be by “Lennon and McCartney”😂

@Alici a
This went straight to the top of the hit parade in August 1966, when I was an 8-year-old schoolboy in Warwickshire.
(This was also the year of the first colour TV broadcasts.)
Young people today can't even begin to imagine the enormous influence The Beatles had on the entire post-war generation and the love we all felt for them for being unique, brilliant, exciting, funny and FREE.
Thank you so much for this comment
