This song is bananas on the bass. So much fun to play. That 1-3-5 groove when they transition to the "Open fire" lyric is just incredible.

Im in uk . Lost fingers on farm accident. Went to see them at small gig in exeter. I had my arm up in cast so didn't get messed up and they invited me to sit back stage. Legends

Matt (white guitar) was only 19 when this song was released.
He blew out his voice on-stage in 2014 due to improper technique. I highly suggest watching the music video for the song to see how much of a difference there is, and what it originally sounded like. Their 2017 Sin and the Sentence album reintroduced his harsh vocals; the screams/growls sound much different now, but at least he won't shred his voice again.

When they first came on the metal scene, these guys were seen as cocky and many disliked how they seemed to change styles with each album, but they've got some bangers and are some of the hardest working and nicest guys out there now. Real road warriors that always love helping others. They bring out some of their favorite newer bands to open for them on tours and get them some exposure. The lead singer/rhythm guitarist Matt Heafy has really honed his crowd management skills over the years, even paying attention enough to stop a performance to get medical attention to people in the crowd having issues. He even once dove off stage to help catch a crowd surfer about to fall that security didn't notice and catch.
