You definitely need to react to Alex's playthroughs of Sin and the Sentence over on his own channel. It's one thing listening to it - but it's a whole different can of kick-ass to actually see him play. The best ones to react to that I'd recommend would be Betrayer, Revanchist, Sever the Hand and Beyond Oblivion. He's pretty much played through the entire album on his channel but those 4 are probably the most technically difficult to play out of that album. Sadly he hasn't done any playthroughs of What the Dead Men Say songs, but he said he's planning on it so that's something to look forward to!

Alex Bent - Drummer. You should react to his On of his play throughs. They are great with song in background. I’d recommend Sever The Hand or Sun & Sentence. He’s one of the best in the game right now no doubt.

Edit: Trivium’s big on transitions and their drummer Alex Bent (he first joined the band a little bit before The Sin & the Sentence) has definitely rejuvenated the entire band as a whole and given them new life in a way
And yeah, Alex would be very much on par with Jay Weinberg (Slipknot’s current drummer)
Alex is definitely a better drummer than Jay Weinberg.
Jay isn't in Alex's league. And even Jay would say that.
Alex is up there with the best of them. He comes from the tech death genre which means he can literally play anything, and he's a student of drumming. Loves jazz, blues, everything. He is incredible.

Trivium live is incredible! One of the most underrated bands for upper echelon tier! All instruments are beast and Heafy as guitarist and vocalist is a beast!
You're right his drumming is insanity. This song is so good, it deserved a band clip rather than weird shape making man and a weegee board.
Sadly since this album came out in April 2020 they haven’t really been able to perform it live.... they had one streamed concert a few weeks ago but it was paid tickets to see it so it’s not available online.... I do think the song might have even sounded better when I watched that live tho!
Video was made during the height of quarantine. Couldn't have the band there.
@@Bidens_Diaper it was a pretty professional clip, with actors etc. They just had already done a bit of a performance vid for catastrophist so did something diff for WTDMS, but yeah maybe covid had an effect too.

Y’all gotta check out more trivium, they’re one of my favorite bands currently. One of my favorite things is how chunky the bass tone is and how present it is in the music. Being a bassist I love stuff like that
Really glad I found you guys. Ended up binging the Eminem videos and subscribing after this. Hope y’all do more Trivium soon. Songs off the new album and their Shogun (2008) album are some of their best. Their second album Ascendancy (2005) really launched their career into what it is. Lots of great songs off that. I’m big on the title track even though it wasn’t a single.
I also recommend Killswitch Engage. Great mix of heavy and melodic. My Curse, For You, This Fire, Fixation on the Darkness (live from Set This World Ablaze), etc just to name a few.
LFR Family has become on of my favorite channels on TH-cam. Keep it up fam!!!

Need to check out "A Home", by Rivers of Nihil if you enjoy great drummers. Their entire catalog is amazing, but the intro to that song is incredible.

Hah, your daughter gets it, drums are important but Trivium is dope for their melodies and killer guitars.
If you are sucker for technical drums, try MGŁA (pronounced mgua)- Exercises in Futility V (drum cam from Brutal Assault festival), not as aggresive, but still mind-blowing.

the hardest thing to believe sometimes is that 99.99% percent of the time it's 1 drummer. Just lots of speed and endurance.

You should hear in trivium "in waves" or "watch the world burn". I think it would of been a better introduction to Trivium.
He's top 5 drummers in Metal of all time if you ask me. Even though he doesn't have the "legend" tag attached to him. He can outplay almost all the legends.

Normally I wouldn’t say a band’s newest stuff is their best but Trivium is different. These newest two albums with Shogun and possibly In Waves are the best they’ve ever made. Alex Bent has transformed the band from being awesome to being AMAZING. I adore new Trivium. So fresh, different but still sticking to their roots and keeping it heavy. Damn they are great haha. 🤘🤘

For drums: Alex bent (Trivium) and Chris Adler (Lamb of God).
Alex is currently in the band but they've had a few different ones on many albums. Chris left officially in 2019 due to injuries but he's been with them forever. So there is a lot of content.

It is like listening to avenged sevenfold but with a little bit a touch of trivium with james hearfield voice from metallica. The band is so underrated but their song was soul catching.
