I play an Esteve classical through this amp and it sounds real good.
Telecaster, Stratocaster, les pauls, archtops, and resonators all sound really good through the amp out of the box.
Definitely an under the radar amp.
    Spread the word.

Well, I learned more about this amp in the first 10 minutes or so of this video than in the other 20 or so I watched before finding this. And then the next 17 minutes were just, damn. I'm sold. The first time I heard one of these it got my attention. I've been all over TH-cam listening to them but no one put it through its paces like this. You rocked this thing. The only thing lacking, I would have liked to hear some humbuckers too. Oh well, I'll be hearing mine very soon. Thanks!

I love this amp. I sold my 30kg Marshall JVM and got this little bad boy. It really sounds like a tube amp at all volumes. In fact it sounds like the tubes are running really hot all the time, which I love! It's very expressive and sensitive. To my surprise, when gigging it and cranking it, it gets quite monstrous. I was playing in a band with another guitarist using a fender bassman, and the mic'd supro didn't sound out of place at all. It's got a great clean so sounds great with pedals. I run it with a tubescreamer and a Strat with P90s and it sounds beautiful.

I have the last generation, the Blues King 12, and the previous owner put an Eminence Redcoat speaker in it. I love that amp so much! I can't see any difference between it and the Delta King... except, yours is much better looking, and mine has a full effects loop rather than the power amp in, and of course, yours has a better guitar player attached to it, but otherwise, I think they are identical. It was such a great deal! Nice video.

I bought my Blues King 12 when Sweetwater had their Black Friday special last year. $299. They even included a guitar cable. I was in Shock when I saw the price. I was lucky to snag one before it sold out.

By the time you put an extension speaker, an overdrive pedal. Way loud.. They one out.
I wasn't too enthusiastic about the tone of the royal. The 8 inch Reverb sounds fantastic... Not loud enough with a band.
No matter what judging by a TH-cam video is fair. How do you hear the warmth of a tube driven amplifier through your computer??? Too many variables!!!
I've never heard the sound quality of the Keeley, Amulet, or the Reverb in my life .. Supro nailed it..

I went to a guitar shop today and played through this for the first time. I’ve never heard an ounce of that size in caliver produce such squishy, fat, pretty tones especially while doing blue swallowing. Similar to Robin Trower or Joe Bonamassa. Great review, thanks! The only thing missing was a little bossa nova like I think you did with the Blues Junior(?) - just to see if it could do that kind of jazzy tone. Anyway I've taken the plunge & am about to collect a DK 12. The fact that it had foot switchable tone options was a big point for me as my old Pro reverb has to be too loud to get good drive from it & Fender still don't have any pedal option for that on the new smaller amps. That said, the versatility just via guitar volume control, which I like to do, sounds great with your guitar.

"A boost and a drive... which I think gives a boost and a drive" cutting edge analysis right there!! :) Only kidding but I had to laugh. The rest of the information is first class... I've never really thought about any amp EQ as being a gain stage in itself and thus the knobs just cutting from a default position (I realise not all amps will work like this). Really interesting.
