      18:45 okay, so... hear me out... podcasting! that's a weekly scheduled meet up with at least one other person a week and it'll probably be easier to schedule 1-2 hours alone a week. also, it opens up conversations multiple times a week if you have a co-host and then you're not all on your own every day! just a random idea. but no matter what you decide to try, i hope you find whats right for you! ☺️

    Your concerns about having income disappear is valid. I used to do article writing for "How to" sites back in 2010ish. I was building a "passive income" and had just hit the $1000/month mark. Then Google changed search results and one by one the sites I used went under. I lost everything I had worked for. Every time I think of starting a TH-cam channel, that experience comes to mind and I've never taken that leap. I hope that never happens to you. Love your content and always get excited when you upload something new. Keep working on finding the best thing for you. ❤

      Yep, been there done that! I actually used to be a blogger and my sites had plenty of issues with Google so they income from that disappeared. I have been lucky TH-cam has lasted longer and paid way more but I'm well aware this could disappear TOMORROW. With kids that is scary so I'm definitely keeping that in mind right now and over the next year hoping to increase what I have saved and what I earn.

    This was such a helpful, realistic chat. I want to start creating an income on the the internet because other creators make it sound so easy but it’s certainly a lot of hard work. Thanks for bringing light to both the good & bad 💚

      It's both easy AND incredibly difficult! That sounds insane but it's both true. It definitely feels easy if you like making content and I find it easier than any job I've had before. BUT it's very hard to make content consistently that earns enough to live off in this environment.

    I definitely hear you about working from home and being alone. Im 14 year working alone and some days i just want to shut the computer down and go somewhere to talk to someone about the weather

    • @CreateWithPennies
      @CreateWithPennies  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes! That’s a long time to work from home… would you back to a regular office?

      @@CreateWithPenniesive debated it for years another aspect of it is that i do not want to put in 40 hours and I would really love to have off work when my 2 kids are off school so ive been looking into jobs at their school but i would basically be giving up 60% of my income because i am not an educator. So it’s a tough decision for me.

    What's your biggest income resource now? TH-cam adsense?

    • @CreateWithPennies
      @CreateWithPennies  19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Affiliate marketing and advertising (Adsense and sponsored content) have always been my biggest two and roughly equal. I don’t like relying too heavily on just one.

    Volunteering is a way to get that social interaction without the pressure of a large time commitment. Schools, public libraries, shelters (people and also animal). There are also typically local clubs with dues and obligations.
    Gas station and grocery store clerks also get a TON of interactions and the job is very low-stakes. Oh sure if you're there 5-7 days a week and need it for your bills it can be stressful but in terms of regular social interactions it's not that bad.
    Volunteering gives you more access to assessing the needs of your community. It can be overwhelming but being satisfied with what you are able to give (time) is important.

    • @CreateWithPennies
      @CreateWithPennies  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yep I actually already volunteer at my kid’s school and it’s already filled that need since we started back! I think this was mainly a summer issue where everyone was out of town and on different schedules so I didn’t have my normal interactions. It kind of crept up on me. It’s good to know for next summer so I can be proactive!

    • @Crystal-je7gx
      @Crystal-je7gx หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@CreateWithPenniesahh i can understand that. When school starts in 2 weeks for us it might be easier for me too because ill have a chance to chat with other moms twice a day at the bus stop very good point about it being a summertime struggle

    • @CreateWithPennies
      @CreateWithPennies  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes I chat with people at drop off and pickup and also make play dates and then volunteer with our PTO. So it’s a lot more interaction for me once that school routine starts. It will probably help you too! Summer is just a weird time, like fun but the lack of schedule tends to not be good for me.

    Speaking of editing. Whats with the constant zooming in and zooming out and panning in and panning out. Im 10 minutes in and ready to click off.

    • @CreateWithPennies
      @CreateWithPennies  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Ha yeah my editor seems to do that a lot and I guess I don’t notice it as much because I’m rewatching his edits for accuracy. Good point tho, I’ll ask him to stop it as much!

      I totally get that. It isn’t my favorite but something I’ve just ignored since I know it’s used on some other channels. I appreciate the feedback!
