    I literally spent so much money buying so many parts to get that annoying inactive TPMS malfunction light out of my dash, I literally watched every video on YT and tried everything they said and nothing worked. This was the last video I watched and literally fixed mine by replacing the RDC sensor which I never knew about before watching your video. I wish I watched this a while ago so I won’t waste so much money. Bro I truly love you, thank you bigggg time.

    The 4 "receivers" behind the wheel wells are already wired. Why do they need to talk to antenna wirelessly? Couldn't all 4 receivers be communicating with the control unit via wire, skipping the antenna which seems to be bad often?

    • @klassikats
      @klassikats  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I guess they could have done it that way, but unfortunately they did not.

    I had the intermittent problem for a while, I replace all the tire sensors and the light was still on some days, I replace the antenna and it worked well for a week and the light turned on back. Finally I realized that the antenna's connector was kind of loose, so it worked randomly. How I fixed, after connecting the antenna, I surrounded it with tape, so the connector will not move and unplug by vibration, problem solved.

      You can always replace the plug its self if needed.

      @@klassikats thank you, I just put tape to fix it because I wasn't 100% sure it was the problem, it has been working great so far, maybe I will get the plug, it's not any hard to replace it. I am a Chef, but can fix stuff as you can see. Thanks again.

      @@klassikats finally I add copper conductive grease to the terminals inside the plug connector, problem solved. Conductive grease is used in all electric connectors in aircrafts, submarines, etc, it is like soldering every connection.

    Hello, is there no pressure sensors mounted to wheels?

    • @klassikats
      @klassikats  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes there are still pressure sensors in the wheels. They just transmit to the receivers located in the wheel wells.

    I have a 2008 e90 and am having issues with my tpms. About a month ago my TPMS light came on for the first time in 5 years. Found water damage in my RDC module that’s located in the trunk. I had BMW replace and after it was replaced, BMW then says I need new tpms sensors for $600. So instead, I took the car to discount tire and had them replace all TPMS sensors. It did not work and in total they replaced the sensors 3x times, all different part #’s. I finally got involved and think they finally installed the correct HUF sensors with correct part #. They had to be programmed. However, the cars TPMS light still comes on. I scan the car and get the 604E code along with all 4 wheel transmitter codes too. I erase/reset the system and the codes disappear and says active but only for a couple miles and then the light comes back on and says inactive. BMW still says I need new sensors. Whatever discount is doing, isn’t working. Any suggestions before I kick this car off a cliff?

      I should add, I originally though it was the antenna and pulled 2 antennas from the local junk yard. That did nothing and eventually put the original back in after I found the water damage. The RDC module was also used unit from junk yard that BMW coded into the car. Luckily I’m only into this about $250 so far. So not a lot of money but it’s been time consuming/aggravating.

      So most of the wheel sensor problems are usually due to a coding issue, which it sounds like you have figured out. The 604E code 9 times out of 10 is the antenna not working. The antennas and the wiring to them in these cars is a constant source of issues mainly due to its location under the car. Some times the it can be the RDC control unit itself. Did you fix the source of the water contamination that ruined the first control unit? Is it possible that water is still entering the wiring somewhere and creating connectivity issues? The next item that I would check is all of my system ground points. Make sure that they are all clean and tight.
      Hope that helps

      no it is either the receiver inside the fender well. or the TPMS sensor in the wheel. Check the sensor is broadcasting first using a TPMS reader. Then make sure receiver is plugged in and not damaged. If not then replace it
