The skins that were chosen are a mix of my favorites, best skins (imo) and stuff that would be likely for some some sort of skin DLC. No characters ported over a different character, just skins with 2 exceptions: Pac-Man (Since I feel like Ms. Pac-Man could have worked as a skin like Alph) and Bowser Jr. (Since all of his costumes are different characters.)
Some characters like Simon and Min Min didn't have any model edited costumes at the time of this video so recolors were used instead and some of the mods used in the original shorts version of this series were replaced with better picks now.

Striker Daisy was my most favorite. She looks badass and it's one of her most iconic looks. I wish Twilight Princess Zelda was shown! 💜 miss her.

I really wish that we could get more costumes that are actually unique instead of simple recolors. Sora and Steve were some of the best examples of this, especially Sora

I got progressively excited and amazed by each of the Pokemon skins from Squirtle to even the trainer herself. That was so freaking good!
Personal bias, but my favorite is Dry Bowser.
It still annoys me on how they promoted the concept of Echo Fighters in Smash Bros Ultimate, and yet didn't include Dry Bowser as either a costume for the real Bowser, or an Echo Fighter for the titular King of the Koopas.
Don't let this distract you from the fact that there has been 5 Smash games and not one has a Bowser's Castle stage the most iconic location in Nintendo and its not featured in a Nintendo crossover game
And Alph, they put Daisy, a literal clone of Peach, and Ken, a complete semi-clone of Ryu, and Alph is still a skin of Olimar

I just don’t get it. Why Wolf isn’t Fox’s Echo Fighter? The fact that Ken is an Echo Fighter while Wolf isn’t an Echo Fighter is… odd.

Let me know. *If this video does well I'll be doing this again next year* also should I stick to the portrait videos or make all 1MM videos widescreen instead like this one? Sorry if some of the character footage look lower quality this was recorded for shorts in mind so I had to manually crop every single character for a better 16:9 view here so some might look lower quality due to this. If I make all future 1MMs widescreen this won't be an issue in the future.

Honestly though the normal outfit is the same if not more revealing, why Xenoblade 2?
If Smash did skins like how DOA had lots of outfits for different characters, you bet your ass I would buy them if I had to. I'm a Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts nut, and those skins looked awesome. Cloud's KH1 skin and the Org 13 coat looked friggin perfect. Safer Sephiroth was badass af.
I'm not sure what I love more: the inclusion of Rosalina's Aurora outfit, or the fact that it was appropriately paired with the Vancouver Velocity music.
Atleast 1 person will now think daisy was in melee because she was part of the melee section, despite actually being introduced in brawl.

these would've been WAYYY better skins than just random color swaps
They missed an opportunity with some characters, such as Falco… he could get a model swap with his different outfits from different Star Fox games, such as Star Fox 1, Star Fox 64, Star Fox Adventure, Star Fox Assault… you name it!
A lot of these appear in project m so it's good to see those fans remaster those costumes for this

Aw man, I was fine with Mii outfits but I see this and I'm like damn wish Nintendo did character costume packs.
I think Mirage Chrom (not expecting TMS rep here), Swimsuit Robin, and the Byleths are my favorite ones.
Byleth’s kinda does makes me disappointed the only change in vanilla ultimate was the hair color though and not the whole outfit

Mewtwo was the strangest choice in my decision, since Mega Mewtwo Y is already its Final Smash, so why would it also be its alt costume? Mega Mewtwo X, Shadow Mewtwo, or Armor Mewtwo would have made more sense honestly.
While I wasn't sure I would like two Team Skull costumes, have to admit I adore Incineroar Skull
I prefer Shadow Mewtwo and Armor Mewtwo. I think the Final Smash should have been like a switchfoot between Mega Mewtwo X or Y, because Ryu did have two Final Smashes. Mega Mewtwo X becoming Mega Mewtwo Y might be strange. If Mega Mewtwo Y is his alt costume, it might be confusing if when he gets his final smash, and then activates it, it might be hard to tell whether he still has it or not. It also makes his mega form seem nerfed, concerning that the alt costumes do not change their stats, but makes it remain the same.
