- Bat Machine is widely know in the custom rifle industry as one of if not the best actions money can buy. I had been walking through Bullet central when I got the opportunity to meet Bruce; the owner/ the creator/ the engineer behind Bat Machine, after chatting with him for about 5 minutes I thought to myself " this information would be best shared amongst enthusiasts like myself, like yourselves.

My only experience with high-end actions is a Defiance Machine action I have for .300PRC. But recently I've been thinking about building a super magnum, maybe in .416 Barrett or .408 Chey-Tac, and I've read that BAT has some good options there. Do you know how BAT compares to Defiance, by chance? I don't know too many people in the long range rifle community and nobody I know has a BAT action I can try out.

Why is this odd tenon thread pitch (1.062x18 tpi), incompatible with anything of industry standards? Ultimatum did it smarter by allowing Savage barrel threads.
