I use Sta Green Performance Max 30-0-3 LAWN FERTILIZER (granular) and the result is EXCELLENT. Dark green - like an outstanding golf course! I also use Sta Green Performance Max 25-0-3 WEED & FEED (granular) and the result is also EXCELLENT! Weeds won't dare to pop out and I finally get a weed-free, dark green mini golf course!
@@TheMoreYouMOW I like the 30-0-3 (FERTILIZER) for the outstanding dark green color. I will stop using the 25-0-3 WEED & FEED for a month and let's see if the weeds (specifically, dandelions) dare to pop out?! LOL
Oh I missed the feetilizer vs weed and feed comparison. I'm pretty sure I've seen the 30-0-3 at lowes newr me before. Probably a competitor to the Scott's Green Max which I've used before with great results.
Jay - yes I used that Sta Green bag dilute it with warm water and spray it on my yard with Strom backpack.. 20.5 real high in Nitrogen and don’t want to risk burning out the lawn. Hence why I used backpack to spray.. it… No problem here…..
So just to be clear, that's one pound of the 20.5-0-0 dissolved in 1 gallon of water and that could cover 1k sqft? If so, one bag would last a very long time!
The AMS you spray mix generally says "Spray Grade" on the bag. Rural King sells spray grade AMS for about $15 for 50 lbs per bag. It also looks way different than the Sta Green prills which makes me think there is a coating on the Sta Green prills. I will keep using the Sta Green granular. I get VERY good results and its so dang easy to apply the granular.
I was looking for some kind of writing on the bag that says you can spray it but I haven't seen anything. That's why I'm hesitant to try spraying it, but others say they have. I don't have a Rural King near me or I would give it a try.
Man, Ive been watching you for years! Thanks for watching the video and commenting. I really like the RB60, the only complaint I have is closing the hopper when I release the handle. I wish it was more of a lever action like the lesco spreaders and not on a spring, so I might fabricate something similar.
mow it low and then run a dethacher on medium in the opposite direction of the ruts. Then mow in that same direction next few mows. It should fix a lot of the rutting. If it's down to the dirt you may need to do some leveling. I would do this first to see if it is just surface level.
Hey man can you tell me did Lowe’s stop carrying this product or is it just my local Lowe’s got a bag last season and went to get another one and it’s not there
I have no problem using it in my backpack sprayer. Definitely use warm/hot water to dissolve it in. Do not use more than .975 pounds of material (.20 pounds of nitrogen) per 1,000 sq. ft or you can burn your yard.

That's great to hear! Out of the two, which was your favorite?

What ratio do you mix it? I would be willing to try it
@@TheMoreYouMOW I used 4 ounces per 1,000 sqft.
@@millschristophe9865I usually will go with 16-24 ounces melted down with 4 gallons covering 2k
I do 1lb per 1k in my sprayer with some liquid Iron for that super dark color on my tall fescue.

@@TheMoreYouMOW no problem bro, i enjoy your content! keep going!
1lb/k of it melted in water.. Apply every 3 weeks or so.. Also look at the FAS (ferrous ammonium sulfate) mix for greening..
Good fertilizer especially for the price. I have high pH so will focus on AMS. Am I seeing ruts in the front lawn?
Yeah it's starting to rut. I'm somewhat limited on my cutting patterns and the timemaster is a heavy beast.

I grabbed a bag maybe a month ago. They still have it around here (Wichita)
just bought this, dissolved it and sprayed it, 2lb per 1k sqft just over a gallon of water after spray calibration, see if this is good.
Make sure you give me an update. I'm really interested to try it out
I use it on my Bermuda for spoon feeding. Good stuff
What rate do you apply it at?

Looks like I'm gonna have to try this. Sounds like it works pretty well from rhe comments I've been getting
I dissolve at 1lb of product per 1k to spoon feed my Bermuda, and throw a little chelated iron in the sprayer with it. Works great.
How often do you apply?
Nice! What location are you at?
Wichita, Kansas
