    I use a 50lb bag of Andersons Humic DG. I tell all my subscribers and neighbors alike, HUMIC is the KEY to getting the soil in shape and ready to make a dominating yard!!!!

      I've tried the Andersons Humic but I will consider it in the future but you're definitely right it really does help out the soil big time especially soil thats in really bad shape.

    I’ve been hanging in there in the Midwest. We have about 2 more weeks of 95°+ temps coming with no rain but I’ve been hitting it with more water and a homemade cocktail of humic acid and fertilizer.

    I just started using Humic acid two weeks ago. I got one application down on my front yard and watered it in. Your previous video on Humic is what motivated me to give the stuff a try. Hoping after this this drought and heat I can start going more aggressive with the Humic, maybe every other week to try and soften up this clay soil here in Indiana. I really enjoy your content. Thanks for all the down to earth, honest advice.

      Humachar works great to improve the soil. It has humid acid and biochar. It’s granular. The biochar helps the microbs in the soil build up over time. Need to apply about 3 times each year for the first 2 years then you maybe able to cut back to twins a year. Heck you can put it down monthly if you want….lol it’s all natural and truly does enrich the soil over a few years so you will need less chemical fertilizers!

    I’m a fan of Humic. I think it works best when soil conditions are optimal. I think the benefits are less noticeable when PH is low and other soil deficiencies exist. At least that’s my experience.

    • @seger27
      @seger27 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Over time humic acid will balance the PH if you apply consistently; monthly during growing season.

    Question I bought a loop how to get rid of foxtails. Once I get them cleared up when would be a good time to plant the grass seeds???

    • @LawnAmateur
      @LawnAmateur  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Best time to plant grass seed is late summer/early fall. Because temps are getting cooler and that'll help the seed germinate.
      Second best time is in the spring.

    Thank you for another amazing video. My only question is do we need to worry about any other product overlap when applying Humic Acid? I just did Scott’s Max Green Lawn food about 2 weeks ago and I will be applying the Scott’s summer guard in the next few weeks as well. Is this ok? Thank you in advance and keep up the amazing work.
