Plumbella talking about begging her parents to let her sleep under the stairs remindes me of when i was obsessed with wanting to sleep in the bathtub. not with water in it, completely dry, just a nest of blankets and pillows in the tub as a bed. I never got the chance to do it, though. sad.
I remember writing down colour codes(?) Whenever i found a specific colour i liked bc of the colour wheel in the sims 3 :') And the moment you realised you could drag colours from one object/hair/clothing item/.. to another was honestly life changing
Being OBSESSED with The Sims 1 and knowing there are sheer white curtains and a teddy bear hidden in the 'decorations' tab in Buy Mode, which would have made the bedroom look more complete, but Jesse not finding them, made me squirm a little! :')
This is so fun! One idea would be to do it like a game of telephone. Get 7 simmers to build the room in order of the Sims 4, 3, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4. But! They can only see the room from the person before them. Then in the end, you compare the two Sims 4 versions to see how different/similar they are.
starting with the sims 4 was (correctly) the chaotic choice, and the results did not disappoint, hen! honestly amazing effort given how limited TS1 was omg.
I also miss the Sims 2-days so much! And the music was so good. I used to listen to the college rock radio channel in game all the time and sing along with made up lyrics haha!
My bedroom, that i shared with my older sister, when i lived in NY could fit a queen size bed, two dressers and a twin size bed. with plenty floor space to play on the floor. brownstones/rowhomes had amazing floor space.
You should do the same thing making the same house or room and all four games except a different TH-camr does each game and only gets to see the previous example and not the whole chain Like Jesse builds in Sims four and shows that build to Simsie Who builds in Sims three then she passes to James Who builds in Sims two but doesn’t look at what Jesse did and so on
hell YES I love seeing your cross-sims challenges! as someone who’s only played sims 4 (and whatever sims was available on the ipod touch circa 2012 lmfao), it’s so fascinating to see the differences between each version of the sims
If there is an archive of Sims 2 user-uploaded stories out there somewhere I'd be all over that. I spent so many hours reading the legacies and stories and all the fun cringe creative stuff people would come up with. I tried to make my own once with a Gerard Way sim as a lot host. It was great.
this was so fun it was like a telephone with yourself! u should do this with other sims streamers where you make a house in 4, someone else uses yours for a reference in 3, etc etc until u have a different lookin home!
i actually had a very large room as a kids, but that's because we converted the attic into my bedroom. The other 2 bedrooms in our house could barely fit a bed and a dresser....it was a very small house
Oh my good gravy, I forgot about that beaded door XD I used it so much in my builds back in the day because I wanted one irl so badly, but my parents refused :(
I thought they were terribly dated because my Grandma had them in her house. Still had regular doors too, just beaded curtains behind them and they got super irritating to walk through after a while. And I'd get told off for playing with them. Like what's the point if not to play with them?
I enjoyed the video! Video idea 1: Maybe you could walk us through which occult (type) you like best in each sims game? But no occult type can be mentioned twice! E.g. if you mention spellcasters in the sims one, you can't mark them as your fav in the sims 4. Video idea 2: I loved baby dragons in the sims 1 but my sims always died in a big fire. I'd like to know for how long (put on a timer?) you can keep a baby dragon in the sims 1 before it sets your house on fire (and thus fail) and which techniques you might use to try and keep your house safe.
my sister had the second largest room in our house when i was born, and i think if you scaled this room to real life, her room would probably be bigger than the sims one lmao. then she moved out when i was like 12 so i had a pretty big room as a teenager :D
as someone who played the shit out of ts1 when I was little, I love seeing people struggle with it. Yes, the isometric view is quite disorientating. That's why I never rotated my view when I played loll
also as someone who is autistic you make me very happy to watch!! we have a very similar personality which makes me feel better about the v neurodivergent things i do! my friends often say im to enthusiastic and expressive but watching you makes me feel better about myself :)
Every time I have went back and played The Sims 2 or The Sims 3, since say 4 years into The Sims 4, I always find myself missing so much more from The Sims 4, then from the other 3 games! I especially had that happen since they made it where we could let our Sims wear clothes from the opposite gender, because there were so many outfits or tops/pants/shoes that I wanted to use on my female Sims that was for only males, in the other games! Plus being able to wear ANY clothes from any category is also a major game changer, literally, since in TS2 they had those long coats for the men and long fur coats for the women, that were only in formal wear, but would have been nice to also have in winter clothes! So I had to have a mod to have clothes that fit in other categories in those other categories! But with TS4 we don't have that problem! The only thing I miss from TS1 and TS2 is the objects and wall/floor, oh and CARS from TS2 with was 100% better then The Sims 3, even if TS3 had more cars and we could follow along with our Sims as they drove, I didn't like them just suddenly appearing in the car in front of their house! And the only things I miss in TS3 is again, objects, including build mode objects, and the clothes in CAS, oh and them having 5 to 6 trait slots for YA, Adult and Elders, instead of only 3 like in TS4! I would love to have all the objects both buy and build mode of the other 3 games! Oh and I forgot, I do also miss the open world from TS3, but, I would be fine with open neighborhoods, so we could at least visit the Sims right freaking next door, lol! Which is what me and a lot of others thought they were going to do with TS4 before it was released! So hope they fix that in The Sims 5 at least! Oh and I didn't talk about missing The Sims 4 while playing The Sims 1, because though I still have my old TS1 game disks, I have no PC to play it on, which is why I wish EA/Maxis would rerelease it, as a remastered complete version, so we can get it again, because I would be willing to pay again for the chance to play it again!
The thing about Create a Style is I absolutely fell head over heels with it but gradually grew frustrated and downright weary of it eventually. When you’re a builder with an OCD and are also into building mansions and estates, CAS is an absolute death trap. Besides, along with the open world it is what made essentially bricked the game. I had a gaming computer custom built for TS3 specifically and even the game sets today fail to run the game on any decent resolution. Rather than CAS being reintroduced I’d prefer getting matching swatches across the entire BB catalogue and complete style sets.
I think the curtains for sims one are in the deco section. Haven't played sims1 in a while so I might be wrong, but I know it has curtains cause I remember being flabbergasted by their categorization.
I know I am late but omg your pack is soooo gooood aaaaaaaah I love it, create a style is amazing but needs hugeeee improvements just like the sims 4 base game did, don't come for my wig
I’d love to see one of these with four people collaborating and you only get the image of the one that came before and then they have to base it off that and see how it changes from 4 - 1 or 1 - 4
I know create a style burned you out but I wish you had made a point to add some of the cutter on the dresser and stuff. Then you could've carried it over to the other games
I massively preferred Create-A-Style to the swatches in Sims 4, just because it is so irritating when you can't find a bed that fits the wallpaper because either the frame or bedding don't work (or can't find wallpaper that works with the bed). What they should have done with Sims 4 is to have multiple swatches for objects, but limited swatches for each. The thing is, if you had 3 Frame options and 9 bedding options, you get 27 combinations for only 12 swatches, compared to having to have each swatch for each combination, and it feels like it would save space and be better organised Have you thought about doing a video comparing the autonomy across the Sims titles? Like if you made a couple with a kid in each game, in a fairly similar house, how do things go for them if you leave them alone? Which game is the first to have someone die, have the kid taken away, fail to care for their needs...
I got a fairly big room, like that Sims one if you cut off the parts with the bookshelves and desk. My dad built me my own better version of the small IKEA loft beds with room underneath and a slide. It was the size of a 90 bed, plus a slide, and not that steep stairs despite being so high I could sit and touch the roof in bed. Underneath he made it like a room with walls with a door that you could open just the upper half of, with a desk inside and a window like a shop window with a sill if I wanted to play shop. Inside were (bought) small furniture my size. Still there was room for an IKEA bookshelf outside and a big multi-tier shelf with a glass part and stuff. ...I still slept in my parent's bedroom xD BUT, I will say, before he built that and during as well as at his place when I was older and my paren split up my room often served as his tool shed so I kind of made up for being spoiled with a large room by it being uninhabitable for some periods. xD I never really minded. My parents made me my own space in the living room (and as an only child I could play wherever). A little "office" with a childsized desk and chair and desk lamp.
Build challenge where each furniture category is a different pack. Eg. All chairs have to be from the same pack, all beds, tables, wall coverings etc. I would love to see the chaos from this hehe
I think you should try to start a fire via objects in each game and see how long they take. I know you did something like that but could be with same or as same objects as possible.
I was just thinking that you should use the Sims 3 room as a reference for the Sims 2. It could be a fun challenge to collab with other youtubers where someone creates a room (or a house) and the next one needsbto recreate in another version of Sims and then send it to the next one and then they need to recreate that in another versions of Sims. Then at the end of the line compare the first and the last.
My two siblings and I shared a bedroom up until we were like, twelve? And then my oldest sibling got their own room. I think I got my own when I was... sixteen, eighteen? Old enough to decide to paint it brown under the naive assumption that I would be moving out soon, lmao.
I spent at least a year sleeping on a small camping mattress stuffed into my closet It went up the sides like a hard taco shell Obviously it was immensely uncomfortable but you know sometimes you just want to live in a small dark hole
I played Sims 2 once at a friends as a kid and all my sims needs tanked really quickly and it upset me so I never played it ever again. But now you gush about Sims 2 so much I found a place to download it and I've been playing it even more than Sims 3 which is my favourite, but now it's only my favourite because it's easier to mod than Sims 2 😂
I've only ever played Sims 4, but watching this, Sims 3 looks superior. I get to choose any color I want for any object? That is so cool, I wish Sims 4 had an option like that
not sure if this is possible in sims 1 as its been so long since ive played but you could do how long it takes to get an A at school in each of the games

Dunno if you tested to check if sims 1 had diagonal walls, but I know they definately do because of that goddang octagonal eccentric house in i think neighbourhood 2 perhaps? But you can't really utilise the space given by diagonals anyway, so its just a visual factor.
Starting with The Sims 4 was a choice, and the chaos that ensued was amazing.
The chaos was great
Plumbella talking about begging her parents to let her sleep under the stairs remindes me of when i was obsessed with wanting to sleep in the bathtub. not with water in it, completely dry, just a nest of blankets and pillows in the tub as a bed. I never got the chance to do it, though. sad.
Sometimes the infographics for what to do in the case of a tornado looked a little Too Cozy lol
it's never too late to make your dream a reality
Omg I slept in the tub 😂😂
I didn’t tell anyone I was going to do it, just did and scared everyone cause they couldn’t find me 🥴
I used to want to do that too! I don’t know where it came from my mom wouldn’t let me
Just do that today bestie live your dream
Please do a Sims 3 build where every room is a different create-a-style pattern category 🙈 It would be so chaotic if you can stomach it.
I did this using the newspaper swatch, including a family wearing clothing of the same pattern. Loved it 🥰
Jouse
I remember writing down colour codes(?) Whenever i found a specific colour i liked bc of the colour wheel in the sims 3 :')
And the moment you realised you could drag colours from one object/hair/clothing item/.. to another was honestly life changing
yeees I did the same
thought me that colour codes exist
I wasn’t smart enough for that, I held my finger to where the dot was on the color wheel and changed over with the other hand lmaooo
@@randid7978 I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO USED TO DO THAT 😭😭
@@randid7978 Me to! 😂
also you can like make your own swatch, that was a gamechanger for me
Being OBSESSED with The Sims 1 and knowing there are sheer white curtains and a teddy bear hidden in the 'decorations' tab in Buy Mode, which would have made the bedroom look more complete, but Jesse not finding them, made me squirm a little! :')

I love that I can always expect you to say “I’d rather sh*t in my hands and clap” in every video it makes me laugh every time
I love how much Plumbella owns and enjoys the pack she helped create. You deserve your pastel paradise.
I loved the idea of create of a style and in theory its an amazing concept. However the laggy mess that we got with Sims 3 is not infact amazing xD
Now imagine that in ts4! She would not be OK
Would love to see you show the Sims 1 build to another simmer. Have them build it in the Sims 4 and see how different the rooms look.
Great idea!!!!
I also miss the Sims 2-days so much! And the music was so good. I used to listen to the college rock radio channel in game all the time and sing along with made up lyrics haha!

Aren't rowhomes generally thin tho?
@@emilyb.8219 Narrow but they tend to be deep and about 3/4 levels and have a basement
running to a new Plumbella video as a form of therapy 🏃
Same! Makes life just a bit better! 💜
literally me
It works on so many levels. Jesse’s madness both calms me and also awakens my inner chaos

Jesse's contemptuous chuckle after they find out you can only place the floor one way in the Sims 2 💀

Curtains were right there in the other " + " category of decor the whole time 🤣
the Sims 2 website was my favourite thing! I spent hours reading the stories people posted
I loved the house version of this video that you did, so I'm stoked to see this!

Show us what you would have built/designed, items you were obsessed with, in the sims 2 as a kid!
LOVE the Eddie Background Wallpaper!! ❤❤🩹
side note: jesse your eyes look stunnin in this video, maybe its the lighting or something?? *chefs kiss*
thank you for being brave enough to speak the truth about create-a-style

I want that making the same sim in each game video SO BAD, I live for the chaos
This haircut and color suits you so so well!! ❤

When you started with the second room I thought it'd be cool if you did it like a game of telephone, and then you did! You read my mind haha
I used to go feral for the beaded door and the weird windows n shit. I also loved that red n black carpet!
Do you not have Lazy Dutchess's smooth patch for the sims 3? It significantly improves create-a-style wait times.
Sims 1 does have curtains, you can see them in your video at 14:51 (deco>misc), and mirrors are categorized with wardrobes in the sims 1.
I think the curtains for sims one are in the deco section. Haven't played sims1 in a while so I might be wrong, but I know it has curtains cause I remember being flabbergasted by their categorization.

Not me just pointing and screaming "CURTAINS? CURTAINS???" like a psychopath at the end of the Sims 1 build
Happy I found your channel your A hoot my darling and the best part is your British so the references you make I can understand fully love you darl
Man this made me realize how much I miss the Sims 3! Especially build/buy
i'll literally watch any sims video you ever make ever but the more chaotic the better honestly LOL XD
i love to watch you doing this challenge, for me you could do "making the same house/room" all of the time lol
I love how when you ended the sims 1, you were on the screen with the curtains, lol
Omg memory unlocked seeing that Sims 2 loading screen.
That was rough and I enjoyed it, thank you.
