These “advantaged” drivers most likely won’t have the hospitality, courtesy, cleanliness, and personality like we do. With that said, riders will still be paying a premium for shitty rides. You get a driver, Chuck, with a high acceptance rate, but he didn’t brush his teeth this morning and he’s talking too much. Car is filthy and you’re just trying to get to work on time. There are MANY factors that determine rather or not you’re offering a good experience. Uber/Lyft is headed for imminent failure quickly.

If Uber wonders why they are struggling to get rides accepted, maybe look to the EV bonus cut. I used to do 300-350 trips a month on Uber with my EV, now I do exactly 200 a month. The rest of the time I am on Lyft. The EV bonus was pretty much the last driver loyalty program Uber was offering and they've ruined it.

How much will the "additional expenses" fee increase in order to pay for the telematics contract? That 5% addition will probably barely counter it.
With no bottom limited that 5% will be on the lowest rate trips.
