- 1977 K10 gets a new 383 small block Chevy crate engine! The last shop that had the k10 sold the client a bad engine so he came to us to get him back on the road. I got 5000 miles on a blueprint 350 ready to run motor. No major issues with it. Makes good power.
My neighbor just installed a 456HP Blue Print 383 roller into his ‘76 4 speed Corvette. That thing is Fast.

I have that same engine in my 55, runs great and pulls hard...only problems are leaking intake, valve covers.
Love to go all out and get the biggest small block and run it.❤❤
I've got the same engine in my 63 impala. Runs great and sounds bad to the bone. Make sure you have a fuel pressure regulator 👍

Well it it helps I have a blueprint 350 that I’ve been running In my 86 k10 for nearly 4-5 years now. Runs great and pulls hard. I have had zero issues with it. Used it as a daily for awhile and drive regularly. I’ve pulled trailers and boats with it great. We are also running a blueprint 400 in our 78 camaro and it’s a monster. It’s been going for like 3 years now with zero issues and that sob gets ABUSED!

I think overdrive and rear gear could help more than a smaller carb.
You can make a large journal 327 into a 383. Same bore as a 350.
Yes, I believe the large journal was incorporated from Nov 68-69 until it's final production, however we feel that it would be pushing it. Thanks for watching! Jim
You can but it's only a 2bolt main.
@@dpierson489 aftermarket splayed caps are an option and stronger than factory. I have a 800 horse 400 small block twin turbo two bolt main, arp studs though.
@@brianhall5430 2bolt mains were always better than the 4bolt main 400 and far as 327 350 the better block is the target master made in Mexico is a thicker casting with a higher nickel content 4 bolt
@@dpierson489 true. With machine costs nowadays if I wanted to make any decent power I would go straight to a dart block.

You can make a 383 out of a 327. You shoudn't take a proven and dynoed cam out of a brand new crate engine and replace it with your own "great" cam. The first 3 minutes of this video hurt my brain while he was trying to take that shipping label off the crate with a crowbar.

Come on people! Blueprint is is a name that isn't used properly, its to build an engine for the car it's going in! Type of transmission/ rear end gear/ what hp /torque/ fuel delivery/ street or strip???? You have to custom build it for the customers needs!
Would you rebuild a 5.3 ls or go with that set up ?

Plus the engines from Blue Print come with a 2.5 year 50k warranty, not one year like he says. Doesn't make sense to me.
