Это не реставрация. Это техническое обслуживание. Почистил и покрасил по-петушиному. А тиски очень классные.

What was the paint you used? I’m looking for a good quality paint for some metal projects. Thanks!

I used some Tremclad oil paint on that vise and it's holding up pretty well !

How's the jaw lift on that thing? I would think it should be pretty minimal. I just dumped my swivel bridgeport vise for a Kurt. I'm in pig heaven now and could never go back.

The jaw lift is really minimal on the vise, in fact I've never noticed one before ! But Kurt vise have a
a pretty good reputation, you clearly made a good move there !

@@KOPOprojects That's good to hear. 👍 It's all about the ang lock that prevents lift.

Man, you could have changed the greasers, if only for aesthetics.
Sorry, my English is very bad and this is a Google translation.

Are you talking about the oil nipples ?

The two indents at the top of the vice near the flat head screw are oiler holes. They work by pressing the ball down while inserting oil in the hole. Try and take off the paint on them and pressing the ball down with a screwdriver. They should be spring loaded.
