    Great review Sam! Thank you for taking the time to put this together. As a long time Lexus customer this gives me a lot of info to potentially make a change. Love this A-Spec.

    Sam great review! I fully agree the Red/Black interior is so banging! The A-Spec certainly represents a fantastic value. Love the panaroof addition, double wishbone front suspension and the new 10 speed Honda transmission. This is the 3 Row SUV contender. Thanks for the review.

    I love it when I saw one in person, but it’s the espresso interior for me...love interior. I also believe they should have done the shark rim in black, not grey

    I have the black with red interior, love it! Great insight and review. The ride quality is unexpectedly good... don’t feel the need to push it just enjoy the experience. And the lights at night add another element. QQ does the upper trim have additional ambient lighting? It looked like the upper trim had lights running up the center stack.

    Love this thing, especially the 2nd row removable console. Really trying to avoid giving in to the Telluride, but I wish Acura would have added the 360 camera. Why that is reserved for the Platinum Elite, I don't understand. The A-Spec is already a 6K premium over the Telluride SX-L, just include those things so it doesn't seem like you're sacrificing.
    Otherwise love it.

      Maybe Acura knows the aspec is good enough even without the 360 camera 🤔 😉

    i am considering a new MDX, but i am torn between A-spec or Advance in terms of the suspension. Engine and transmission are all the same. I am more concerned about whether the suspension will make the difference on handling and feeling a higher level of luxury from air suspension. The cons are clear, air suspension is expensive to repair and or replace and i dont care for the Head up display.
    i welcome your thoughts. I already know that an MDX is a fun vehicle to ride, as I own a 2011 MDX with SH-AWD.

    The Canadian aspec is better equipped than the the IS version. US one doesn’t have the walk away power option. For some me reason I noticed car manufacturers are always offering their least luxury versions to US market. It might be b/c US customers are not as picky snd willing to pay for far less

    i totally agree...the a spec is the car to get.
    always has been the lux suv for me if i ever wanted such.
    the japanese builders have always been able to give you what you need without giving you what you don't...like long term financial pain. they keep their cars simple, yet performing and luxurious.
    and lighter.
    however, i still want simple, RWD, and affordable...so i continually lean towards the base engine of the ford explorer but holding out, wishing, and hoping for the 2.7 engine it someday.

    • @chrisholmes344
      @chrisholmes344 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Paul, you are contradicting yourself here. You say you don’t trust Sam and his review - that you need to test drive any given vehicle before you buy it - and you should! That only makes logical sense, but given the fact you watched Sam’s review tells me you are doing your homework and picking up on some of Sam’s perspectives and key points he has about any given vehicle. Then taking what he discussed and putting it to use when you test drive the vehicle will be beneficial. Long and short of things these are unbiased and organic reviews for you to preview from the comfort of your home, and heck it didn’t cost you anything for admission? Every manufacturer is producing terrific vehicles these days, better than ever before, make sure you drive everything that meets your qualifications and requirements. Establish a budget, determine what you and your family need from this vehicle and closely compare to their direct completion. Consider what friends, family and strangers at Costco can value, ask them how they like their vehicle of that given brand or model specific.

    • @chrisholmes344
      @chrisholmes344 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kristians2704 True enough! Once again your statement is relevant particularly when it comes to BMW with four year maintenance included. However, can you agree that "Historical" reliability also extends in a higher residual factor and in turn relates to a low monthly lease payment as such? Case and point - MDX has a higher residual value 2,3,4 years down the road than the Aviator (Same approx initial price) and that in turn translates into a lower lease payment without throwing huge manufacturer cash discounts at the vehicle. In the end, if you can afford the BMW, Merc, or Audi you can likely afford the servicing and required Premium Fuel to operate it - the Lexus and Acura offer you another option for significantly less? As I say I agree with your list, it just comes at a higher cost.
