- We got an in-depth look at LG’s best 2024 TVs, and have good news, better news, and one pleasant surprise that should make some of you very happy.
We visited LG at its U.S. headquarters in New Jersey to get a closer look and more details on some of their most exciting products for 2024. We did a pretty deep dive on the LG G4 OLED, caught just a glimpse of the C4 OLED and the flagship 4K QNED mini-LED TV, and had a one-on-one conversation with the head of LG’s webOS team.

Whoops! I said Q-NED. Sorry, LG! Guess I can’t get that out of my head. Anyway, what do you guys think? Let me know. Should have one of these in for review very soon!
weird that they didn't really want you seeing the C4, to hype up how much better the G4 is, at massive consumer cost. LG also has made deals with samsung to team up and make qd oled seem the same with their new S series tvs where some panels are woled and some are qd oled (and when you buy you don't know what you're getting). this is a move by the koreans to be made against china, its anti-competitive practice and absolutely toxic!
ps added all the stops coz yt wouldn't let me repaste my comment

@@StevoHDA i have the lg g3. nice tv. i dont upgrade to the lg g4. its a bit scam to skipp a proccesor generation. from a9 to a11 processor. if i know that last year. i was waiting for the lg g4 this year. normally they upgrade only with one processor generation up. not 2! and no stand for 77 inch models. only the 55 and 65 inch. idiot! and c4 get same processor as last year! and no mla on c series. i hate this marketingstrategy!
@@jollama did that hurt you?
I don’t usually comment but I think LG deserves to be recognized for listening to customers and quickly implementing changes to better the experience. This is with both hardware and frequent software updates. I don’t see any other tv brand anywhere close to this kind of respect for their customers. Glad to see you can turn off ads. Bravo.
And that new stand, no wobbling. How did LG accomplish that? At this point, they are leap years ahead of any other manufacturer.
With their 10/100 ethernet port 😢
@@MikeOnTrack Yeah! They should use gigabit ports like the other *checks notes*... *ZERO* TV manufacturers who do that.
10/100 is enough to accommodate the vast majority of all but the fringiest fringes of users.
If you want gigabit, you can get an Apple TV (oh wait, they removed gigabit from the cheaper model because nobody used it...) or an Nvidia Shield.
You do know they are under a class action lawsuit for that for thing 🤣 not listening
By adding updates only for G4 that they could’ve easily just added via a firmware update, such as the filmmaker mode for DV. Yeah real consumer friendly. L
It’s almost like they went through a punchlist fixing known issues. Well done.
The g4 83 inch is my dream tv for this year.

I just bought G3 yesterday.
I got the wall mount in the box and on top of that the retailer gave me table top stand for free. It came in an extra box plus I got free delivery. So happy. ❤
God it’s so depressing how few ad-free experiences are left. There was a golden age of Smart TV where ads were disappearing and now they’re back to the old ways again
There are ways to block them through your router, but it’s a hassle. I did it with my shield pro.
that was a great review Caleb, I'm excited about the new LG TVs and the Web OS system. thank you again 👍
Since I live in an apartment and 55"- 65" TV's are what I'm interested in, the stand not coming with the G-series was a big reason I wouldn't even consider them. Now I have something to think about.
Def get it. Tomorrow isn’t promised
G4 looks good! Nice video!
Last week I change from a B8 to a G3. Great improvement
Idem! I change from b8 to s95d
No ads on my g3 either. Having said that my older budget lg oled does it better, with that press home and the apps appear in a strip at the bottom of the screen. On the g3 the home button goes fullscreen without what im watching underneath
I’ve got the LG G2 65” wall mounted and love it. No FOMO here!
LG glad You Listened about wanting a Stand !!! Thanks for the video.
That G4 stand fee is not the one they showed at CS with a tabletop stand. Also did you find out if they were? It would work for the g3
Thanks much. When you get the G4 for deep dive, I’ll be curious how much better is the A11. Also, kindly compare App performance between WebOS and ATV. Cheers
Just ordered lg g4 77. So excited
I'd love a take on the 83" G4 specifically, since the G3 didn't have MLA in this size, but the G4 does
Great update as usual!
I bought a 77"LG G3 and couldn't be happier. I'm glad I didn't wait any longer, I feel like the G3 was the big change for oled. Everything going forward will be incremental.
agree mate. i have the lg g3 77 inch. great tv indeed. g4 its a bit brighter. but i dont buy it. i upgrade in 2025 i think. maybe qd oled. but colors looks not natural to me. compare to wrgb mla oled from lg. where you from mate? but its a bit scam. that lg skip one generation this year. and go from a9 from last year to a11 processor. its normally arrive in 2025
QD-OLED would be a bigger change, but their new META panels keep OLED viable. G3 was a big upgrade for sure.
Same, got a 65" and its great. Honestly c2 was already good enough, i just wanted wall mount and had the money so...
I went from a 2022 C2 to 2023 G3. I thought I was going to have to go to a G4 as I was waiting for the G3 in Australia for so long, by the time I got the 55in they were discontinued. And the G3 is amazing!!!
No need for the G4 due to the G3 being the revolutionary change LG needed. I have one and could not be happier!!!
I don't get ads on my G3, and I use it for streaming. Wonder if I turned off some setting that serves up ads. My interface looks exactly like the one in the video, less the content recommendations at the bottom.
Is it possible to buy a 65 G4 with the Stand an maybe later be mounted with the LG mount to the wall? Does it has the Slot for wallmounting?
Thank you ☺️
That built in sound system better be on point on both C4 and G4.
Hi Caleb. Love your channels and have been subscribed for some time. However, when I heard this: ""One pleasant surprise that I think is going to make some of you very happy", I got very excited, because I was sure you were going to announce that LG had finally brought back advanced rolling scan BFI. I have the CX and I can never upgrade, because the BFI on it is so good. Once you see the blurry mess that objects in motion are without it, even at 144Hz, you just can't unsee that. This is from development work that LG has already done and paid for. And it can't cost that much to add the rolling scan hardware back. That they removed it is absolutely terrible. And I hope they reconsider. I and some other folks would love to have a chance to buy their latest panels if this crucial tech were added back. Thanks again for your great coverage Caleb. I always enjoy your work.
great review as always. is the new remote backlight?
Got g2 2 years back still good and happy user. Not looking for upgrade anytime soon
I have had a wall-mounted 77" C9 for about 4 years now, and I have absolutely loved it! Having said that, the 83" G4 looks to be a true game changer and has now moved to the forefront of my "Most Wanted" List of TV's!!! This year looks to be quite special for the LG OLED lineup!!!!
Just get the G4? U know I want it. Then next year all these same reviewers will be tellling you how amazing the G5 is and how it blows away the G4. The biggest benefit of the G4 over the G3 is they got the stand to work properly. LG did it, they have managed to create a stand that actually actually doesn’t wobble on their flagship television
I'm going from 77" CX to 83" G4
I remember reading about the C9 and it had all of the bells and whistles and was completely future proof! I actually recall reading that it had four 2.1 hdmi ports with the full bandwidth available! Also they hadn’t locked down the users ability to access all of their features! Not sure if that has changed due to software updates! What do you love about your tv? Any regrets??
I still have my C9, it holds up really well.
just moved from Google TV on my TLC to WebOS on my new C3, absolutely very happy with WebOS
Is there a big difference between lg g3 and g4? I got my g3 last february and just wanted to know if its worth the upgrade? G3 looks superb btw, but then again, thats my first oled tv.
Question! Is the wallmount for the g4 the same as the g3? Will I be able to mount the g4 tv on the g3 wallmount?
Does the G3 wall stand will work with G4? I want the 65" in my wall.
Are the mounting holes the same as G3? Would the height of the wall mount be the same height on G4 as G3?
Caleb, thanks for all your info and videos! I just bought a 55” LG C3 and got a great deal at $1049! Your comparison of LG, Samsung and Sony helped me pull the trigger! Well the lowest price had me going with LG! :). Thank U!!!
Where you found this price?
Caleb, the LG G4 stand for three 55" and 65" is not the TV stand you showed in the video. The real stand can actually be moved up 2" for a sound bar.
Just got yesterday discounte LG C3 , thats amazing screen, never had an OLED
Once you OLED you can never go back to Lcd/led.
@@ElGrueso💯
@@ElGruesoOLED is not for bright rooms no?
@@tadejdanev5030They all get plenty bright enough now…
@@tadejdanev5030No. OLED is great for dark theater rooms. If you need for a bright room, get a Mini-LED. Yes, you can brighten an OLED but it will automatically dial down if you have in on too high for long to protect screen from burn in.
what month usually do new tv's become available for purchase?
I have a C1 and we have had the setting to disable “home promotion” for a a while. But the recent update introduced a new setting “home recommendation” that disables a bunch of rows from the Home Screen and makes it faster
I just have everything set to a preset so I just hold down 1-9 for whichever app I want.
I basically never even use the UI home screen. Highly suggest it, I also have a c1.
Great idea. Thanks for the tip because the UI on the C1 is so buggy.
Looks like the only problem will be to pick C3, G3, C4 vs G4. I think I will find a way to justify the G4.
Actually the "only PROBLEM" is that none of those TVs is a SONY.....LOL
@@steveludwig4200 No thanks I am not made of money. In Sweden G3 is 2500 and A95L is 4500. For 65"
g4 have grey bezel....
Great video so do you think you will need to use an apple 4k box with the G4
The only feature on my wishlist is some means of making 24p not stutter _without_ adding stupid merged frames in between real ones. Some option to slow down the response time, or display frames 1 and 5 (given a 5:5 cadence) at half brightness or something, which would probably do the trick.
Would love a 83" LG G4 on my wall! Was earlier looking at a Sony QD OLED 77" but this seems even better! And the possibility to turn of ads is a huge plus!
@Digital Trends What features you mentioned regarding the G4 will also be available on the C4?
I think a video rounding up the different type of smart home interfaces and comparing how they serve content to the user would be an interesting video in 2024, where it's marginal upgrades on TV hardware and more of a focus on the software side.
As in my experience I've had to look into whether the smart TV I am purchasing actually has support for the apps I have a streaming subscription to.
The way different home interfaces serve up ads too would also be nice to know about
Question. I have an E8 OLED and it looks fantastic with my ps5. Will i be able to see a big improvement if i upgrade to the C4? Will ganes look sharper/cleaner? Thanks
Yes, I am in the market for a new tv. Tk U for sharing.
Still rocking my ef9500 for 8 years now. Over 35000 hours on it and still i get amazed by its images. However i’m beginning to think that a switch to the g4 might be a significant upgrade. Maybe i can strike a deal come black friday, or maybe wait just a little longer till the g5 is out. Been affected by the fomo, but i don’t think i’ll regret buying a g4. 😎
What was the remote control like for this TV? Is it still the same black plastic looking one or are we getting a remote control upgrade this year?
I'm looking to get a C4 to pair up with my PS5 this year, hoping people still get and review them even though the monitors and G-series are considered the hotness and the C-Series has apparently stagnated the last few years. It's still good to get impressions on anything that has changed year over year, however minor that may be.
Hi Caleb, thank you for this video , very interesting! I have grown a bit weary of the aggressive brightness of some tv’s lately, to the point I’m partially deprioritising HDR in favour of a more nuanced presentation . I miss the subtleties of some Toshiba IPS panels of 12 years ago that didn’t induce eye fatigue and had a more natural depth to the image. Both mini led and oled have now the power to make you squint and that seems a cheap trick to me. I found myself looking at the Samsung the frame picture quality as a better balance than its mini led siblings and I wonder if there could be a different, more organic way, to experience movies and content in general. What do you think? Thank you.
Color and uniformity is what I’m most interested in, because it’s QD OLED’s main advantage right now.
Sony's colour in low light is a not great . Samsungs is better . Colour in low light is in much more content than 4000Nit colour specular highlights . seems G4 colour volume is better than the G3 , given colour spectrum someone put up a while back , Then add some white - For most people the G4 will look poppier than a QD-OLED . Check coming reviews , must reviewers will say Sony is only noticeable in select scenes and really side by side . The Panasonic coming out will probably have most accuracy in dark and low light scenes. Again we are being picky for most people the lower tier Samsung or the C4 , or WOLED Sony models coming this year will be wonderful TVS . Add in Sony mucks up DV , and that over processed shimmering that looks bad on moving feed .
The BT2020 I think is best for gaming , as that can easily be implemented . For SDR and DCi-P3 -The LG G4 colour will be near perfect - ie full coverage over 1000 master range and SDR colour is narrower again .
People saying their TV is so much better etc . but I see more nuanced comments from people who own multiple TVs .
Like my G3 looks great , but my C1 in a dark room looks great too .
I think LG updating it's WebOS for 5 years and 5 years warranty is a good thing .
We are lucky to have so many choices at different price ranges and sizes - new 98/100" , new Sony 85" miniLED coming etc
I think processing is where Sony got its main gains - LG has really improved here , Panasonic with the same SOC now as Sony will probably best overall - as they do near perfect tone mapping and all flavours - LG now can vary curve
Screen uniformity is not such a problem now , again some people more sensitive .
I think most people buy with a number of factors . Size - LG wins ( for OLEDS ) , Price Samsung wins , reliability , gaming , content , OS , looks
Again smartest people buy last year's model at big discount , as TV is great enough and TVs will always get better , so can buy again in 5 years a much better TV than 2024 Flagship model . Those people even happier as don't stress about missing out , oh my TV is utter trash now blah blah blah
A question where do you notice this colour improvement in what content . Even reviewers side by side struggle and say this one looks better here , than one there , they look the same in most blu rays in cinema mode , It is all reviewers that say this. None rave endlessly about the extra BT2020. In fact they have to all use the same few scenes in a few movies to show it .Your average drama nada , nothing , your sport nada , your classic movies nada . Given that would like to see say Our Planet II side by side - That kind of content which is stunning would be a good test and not boosted movie/cartoon mastering
@@nimblegoat as an owner of the G3, I’m waiting till we get full reviews from rtings and Vincent. The color jump doesn’t seem massive enough to warrant an upgrade imo.
The g3 is already good
@@TheAlienGangster yeah seems a great TV - expensive in my country as only one seller . I was surprised there was even a bump at all . Can't remember who did the video , but the spectrograph from their camera showed a bump . I wouldn't upgrade a G3 . Just hoping the G4 83" gets a nice special in my country doubt it . Still normally can get a Panasonic 77" for near same as C 77" model on special , and have great dark viewing room . I could get nearly 2.5 Samsungs 77 S90c for same price as one Sony 77" A95L . Think G4 will be a good choice for many as new SOC will probably used next yaer at least , and get same processing upgrades as next years models - Of course G5 is meant to hit 4000Nits , probably 3000 in real world with extra OLED stack , then there is blue Pholed coming . TVs will get better . What's strange search up BT2020 mastering monitors - if one even exists . So makes sense Hollywood using the latest OLEDS as tools to probably watch and assess . Ie is hard to even buy a monitor that does full BT2020. Even monitors doing full DCI-P3 are not cheap outside of OLEDs . plus brains adapt: colour is subjective - green if a barren landscape is very green , yet in a jungle may just be a pale green . I'm slightly colour blind on the red/green spectrum . I wouldn't know if didn't do those tests - I can see both "answers" when I really look at the harder ones - ie correct answer is "c" wrong answer is "o" - so i know how to cheat if i have too - Still have better than 20/20 and great night vision - i will take that negative
only advantage* with the drawback being QD dots being activated by ambient light destroying some of that infinite contrast by making blacks more grey. also the colour advantage can only be seen in some scenes.
@@whiskizyo2067 I didn't realise it was activated like that , just thought was way screen just looked when off . TBF any ambient light hitting any screen will raise blacks somewhat , destroying infinite contrast . same as ambient sound interfering with the TVs sound field . Bright TVs don't matter to me, as not huge watcher outside specific content , a movie a TV series Iwatch or my sport teams , So only 0 or 3 hours at most a day. normally at night . If I can get at it , as family on play station
So hang on.....If I want the G4 65inch wall mounted with the no gap wall mount do I get an option to purchase this as the TV comes with a stand now as a replacement for the wall mount bracket? I'm coming from LG GX will this no gap wall mount work with the G4?
I will be putting the G4 on my shortlist, next to the A95L.
What is better for you!? LG Or Sony ! Sony has a QD OLED from Samsung!
It's good that you can disable ads, but do you still have to agree to LG's TOS if you don't want to use the TV as a smart TV? I use a Shield TV Pro (2019) with my LG C2, but because I refuse to agree to LG's TOS it keeps throwing a pop-up to nag me.
Its great to see LG continuing to push the boundaries with OLED TV's. I'm still using my B7 OLED and even today it's still an amazing television. I cant imagine what the new models look like.
I really like the way you present. Im always impressed, and you've quickly become my go-to TV reviewer. Thanks for all your hard work!
any news on the 97" G4? is it coming? when? did u see it?
I'm replacing my 77CX with a 65G4 this year, for sure. 77Gs doesn't sell in Brazil and even they did, they would cost the price of a car, so no way. I'm willing to sacrifice the size for that picture, it will be a incredible upgrade this time.
I am doing the opposite for my living room.. swapping out for a 98" qned haha
@@dylan-nguyen hahahahahahahaha. I'm also moving though and it will be harder to fit the 77 than the 65, my excuse to downsizing 😂
@@rafa28erj yes I have literally no idea what's gonna happen when I move I'll probably have to buy some wood and make shift a pallet for it
Just want to point out, the no ads experience can be turned enabled on WebOS23 as well. Including the upgrade to 2022 TVs.
If the remote has a button for a dedicated streaming service than it has always on ads. The Netflix/Prime/Disney+ button is NOT a feature. It’s an ad that stays on even when the TV is off.
Yikes.
True, I hate all those dedicated buttons for stuff that I might not have or not use!
I am excited to see the full review on the C4 and G4 units, as I might be due for an upgrade this year. Thanks Caleb!
The c4 will still have the WOLED panel and using the gen 9 processor, the G4 will have the much improved MLA panel and the gen 11 AI processor
Honestly, I'm impressed and ready for the reviews. Also, I wonder how other companies will respond to the ads on their TV platform. Lastly, quality wise and quality per dollar how will it stack up with Sony and Samsung's new products?
Honestly a display port 2.1 connector would go a long way for people using a PC.
Hdmi can do 4k144hz 8 bit so why should lg add a display port? There is no reason
@@anilman92HDMI forum apparently blocking HDMI 2.1 support for radeon linux drivers.
because the tv is limited to 144Hz, 2.1 wouldn't be beneficial that i'm aware of. Ideally, the tv would run in at least 240Hz for PC people such as myself.
Why? Nvidia GPUs have DP 1.4 and AMD 7000-series GPUs have the weak/broken version of DP 2.1 that's actually less capable than HDMI 2.1. Until GPUs have full-spec DP 2.1 ports (maybe the upcoming Nvidia 5000 series and AMD 8000 series), what's the point?
@@anilman92 Yes there is, see what the piece of shit HDMI forum is doing!
Hey Caleb, I'm not sure if this is an US restriction, but I've been able to disable ads on my CX, C2 and now G3 since forever. It's under General, System, Home Settings, Disable Home Promotion and Content Recommendation.
I am surprised greatly that you did not mention the new alpha chip and higher resolution and upscaling of the G4! Other reviewers have said this is the biggest upgrade of this new model from the G3. Either I missed it somehow or you missed the boat.
And need to mention the addition of WiFi 6 as well. All tv's need to do now to get out of the stone age is add a gigabit wired ethernet port as well.
right? upscaling > all else. absolutely nobody only runs 4k content 100%
Love the videos. Thinking of getting a LG C4 48" for a computer monitor. Work from home, big desk. Any insights helpful. Don't need to go OLED, but seems interesting. Good deals on the C3 right now.
Will there be a stand available for purchase (same maybe?) for the 77 and 83 inch?
Can the G4 83” be mounted on an extended tv mount instead of the flush wall mount that is sold separately for this tv??
I need to start planning for this 83" purchase. Let us know release/availability timeframe!
Thank you LG, bravo Classy Tech , Kudos CD.
I recently was surprised with a webOS 23 update to my C2, something I thought would never happen. I’m pleasantly surprised with the new control center features and performance! LG has a for life customer here!
Hi Caleb, Any improvement with reflections on the new G4 MLA+ panel? There seemed to be some improvement with reflections on the G3 panel. Wondering if the G4 is better than the G3 or the same in terms of reflections. Thanks!
How was the 3D and component output? That's always my first question when dealing with new OLED panels.
I love the lg.i currently have one in my lounge. Its not the latest model .I do wish they,d improve the sound.I don’t always want to switch other items on to listen to it.
Damn I wanted the stand :( I have the G1 55” at the moment and love the No Gap wall mount
Have a LG CX, but just got a Sony A95L last week and holy smoke is that a step up. The brightness and punch of the colors is startling.
I upgraded from the CX to A95L too but neither’s got anything to do with Caleb’s video.
@@JonPais Caleb spoke about brightness progressing over the years and the C3 and equivalents having finally having hit the magic level. Might want to watch again since you missed that.
@@gwaeron8630 I didn’t miss anything, thanks just the same.
@@JonPais @DirkBelig Curious, why did you choose to upgrade to an A95L as opposed to a G3 or G4? My heart is telling me to get the A95L, but my brain is telling me to get the G4 due to LG’s 5 year panel warranty. Any guidance would be appreciated!
@@logicwins3492 All LG OLED TVs from their inception have only been able to reproduce Rec.709 color volume, whereas QD-OLED is able to display nearly 100% of P3 color volume. Not all HDR shows take advantage of wide color gamut, but in my opinion the very best ones do. Full screen white of the A95L is 265 nits compared to the 200 nits of the LG G3. On the other hand, most knowledgeable reviewers have said that out of box color accuracy of LG is outstanding, that differences in color gamut volume can only be appreciated in a small percentage of content when doing side-by-side comparisons and that the LG G3 was a better value proposition at the time. As far as I’m concerned, quantum dot technology represents the future of display technology, while WRGB represents the past.
Would it be worth upgrading from the G3?
Very glad the panel uniformity has been improved. That was my biggest gripe with LG OLEDs previously.
😄
Which TV is better between the Samsung QN90D or LG G4 for PC gaming?
I just got the C3 on a sweet deal. Will the new webOs and some of these ui / ux updates come to it? Especially curious about the game mode brightness update.
My biggest concern of the G-4 is to see if the image processing is as good as Sony this year and does the G4 UPSCALING match or surpass Sony high end models for 2024.
Does it support the DDC/CI standard?
Does it support the HDR10+ standard?
Does it support playing V1 video, FLAC, OPUS audio from pen drives?
Can we finally see the languages of the audio and subtitle tracks along with metadata about them, like which one is default, which is in original language, which is for visual or hearing impaired?
My G1 is bright enough, and surprisingly my 55" Sony A90J in a very well lit living room with lots of windows works great too. I'm glad LG went with WAY better processing this year.
I’m still paying for my Samsung S95B 😂. Maybe next year I’ll upgrade. Great review as always. G4 looking 🔥
Just bought lg 77 g3 for amazing open box price at BB is it worth extra 1,500 or not
These are all nice improvements/features but the biggest weakness is still the WRGB OLED that is clearly inferior to QD-OLED in colorful HDR content.
It sounds pretty fantastic, assuming its on par with what I paid for the G1 all those years ago, adjusting for inflation, then I will def consider upgrading my G1. Btw, I do wish you guys reviewed high-end PC monitors as I would love your review of the 32inch Oled 4k @240Hz shift to 480Hz at 1080p monitor LG 32GS95UE.
I have the LGC2 is the G4 a big step up with buying?
Great video. Love hearing about LG looking to NOT have the extra advertising on its WebOS. I guess the G4 will be one of the first TVs WITHOUT the ATSC 3.0 tuner?
Hi, I have a general question about OLED TVs. I'm thinking of buying Samsung S90C TV, but after watching your videos about OLED burn in. That's made me wonder what the longevity is like for OLED TVs? I watch 3-4 hours of varied content per day. I generally keep my TVs a long time (for budget reasons). Can you give me any idea how long I could expect the S90C to last? Thanks
I've been waiting for your reviews :)
The WebOS Re:New program is fantastic as I just updated my LG G2 (bought in 2022) from WebOS 22 to WebOS 23. We're also looking to buy a 77" LG G4 for our 2nd TV. LG, if you're listening, please make the 77" G4 available for sale here in the Philippines. Also, does the G4 finally have gigabit ethernet and USB 3.0? Gigabit has been around for almost 25 years guys, how is it that TVs are still using fast (100Mbps) ethernet? And USB 3.0 is practically on it's way out with USB 4.0 on the way so why are we still stuck with USB 2.0?
Digital Trends, pls test the De-Judder 10 and De-Blur 10 in 30 respectively 60FPS locked games vs the G3 or C3.
I want to see the input lag in G4 vs G3 since it has better CPU performance.
My 65 CX is still going strong. Maybe I'll consider a G4 77
I've been using a C1 55'' for my monitor for the last couple of years and I'm really tempted to upgrade to the G4. I will be sad to lose my 120hz BFI but all of the other improvements probably make up for it.
Lg c5 will be out next year
@@Ballagunand the C6 the year after that and the C7 the year after that and so on.
@@MistyKathrinethat’s right 😊
With that price tag I'll be waiting for the black friday/boxing day sales but this will likely be replacing my old C7 that's developed an odd less bright column on the screen
G4 just a better G3, G3 is a revolution for OLED TV,good job LG!
I've had my eyes on the C3 for a while, so I'm very curious how the C4 or even the G4 stacks up against it.
I'm going to be in the hunt for a new OLED soon and the displays of all the oled competitors are beyond my expectations so I would be deciding on what to buy based on the tv's user experience and available ecosystem for that device. The system's OS and capatibaility with other devices (sound systems and pcs/consoles) matter more for me. Hoping the revised WebOS is great because that would probably swing me hard in the LG direction.
Looking great, Caleb!
Wow Caleb thath G4 looks fab at last a stand!!! I've just got. G3 65" yes on the stand 🙄 although I prop it up to near vertical ,I'm glad however the G4 is not a million miles away from my new amazing G3 , especially as here in the UK it can be had for well less than 2k ! Digital trends is the best TV and tech channel by a long way so thank you and keep it coming 👍
The stand....... oh my god that stand. I'm just about ready to pull the trigger on a 77" G3, which I do plan to wall mount, but I was BAFFLED by LG releasing that embarrassment of a stand for a TV representing the pinnacle of display tech. Nobody should have to "prop" their TV in order to make it vertical.
And yea.... agree I'm glad the G4 is an iterative upgrade rather than anything "game changing" like it was for the G3 with MLA (minus those who were waiting for the 83" MLA version). I would have tried to convince myself to wait at least until black friday for prices to drop and honestly..... I just don't wanna wait another year to upgrade from my 65" 1080p plasma (purchased wayyyyyyyy back in 2014) to the sweet sweet bliss of 4k OLED!!
