You make Nex look incredibly easy even with the 100mil setup. I've got about 360 kills on Nex but still haven't nailed down the consistency of phasing that quickly.
Great vid! Like the idea and you did a good job with it. One thing I would say is that glitchy pause effect you added around 10 minutes is pretty rough to look at for that long, kinda made me dizzy lol
About nex, she in reality has 80 defense, however she has an affinity of 40 in all combat style, so this is why is more likely to get dps splashed. For me is mind-blowing that a +10 year old boss has the same defense and affinity as telos in which drops t92. BTW the boss with the highest like hood to get dps splashed is vorago for having 85 defense and 40 affinity in all styles. And the lower the affinity, the higher chance to get dps splashed.
The fact we can splash at all is pretty dumb imo like when I did the low budget zuk I splashed my stun on the minion and it almost cost me a 25 minute run. I think they should rework it somehow so a splash would at least do 1 damage instead of nothing
Still can't ECB spec while Nex is changing phases either, even after the update to not need a target. The boss also still drops un-noted piles of brews & restores as if people stay in the instance for more than one kill and need supply drops in 2023 😡
I'm sorry maybe I missed it what's your resource inventory look like. For each of the kills? I saw bombs, I saw greater ranging pots... Blue jellies...

Venge works yes but i find it doesn't really add enough damage to make a difference here so i simply don't use it. As for the sgb spec it works by firing 5 arrows in an area around the boss but as nex is a small boss (1x1) only 1 of these arrows will ever hit so it's not a good special attack to use here, sgb is better at larger bosses where more of the arrows can land such as arraxor.
P.S Deathtouch Bracelet has a decent chance to make damage you reflect onto nex back at you if you look at the time stamp 12:38 you will see that she reflected damage back to you and that was caused by your dt bracelet
3 mins isn't bad though, there are a bunch of little things you can do at this boss to speed each phase up a little and the time saves really start to add up. For example if you use ricochet as the finishing hit on a minion the ricochet hit will also hit the boss and phase it without having to use another ability after killing the minion, the boss will also phase if you have a bleed on her as the minion dies. Things like the armadyl book and dominion mines are also very big time saves for the minions which is a good chunk of the fight.

with my experience using a 10b setup at nex really just doesnt make alot of sense since u can do alot better bosses with more gp/hr, but the cost with bolts for the 1b setup will add up over time but with nex's 1/24 (or 25, idr) you'll be profiting with all setups.
The cost of using range is pretty low so upgrading for faster kill times will result in more profit as for exactly how much it depends on how many kills per hour you can get but I would upgrade gear as soon as possible no reason not to.
btw, I'm pretty sure that if the sheet highlights something in red, it's highlighting a conflict - I think it's saying you can't drain nex's defense levels with curses. I also think a nox bow with wen arrows would've been a better choice for the 1b setup, wen arrows are insane here. Looking forward to finishing the log here once I get bolg, I can't consistently get prison skips with ecb eof + physical sgb, but with a bolg I'm sure I could. We also have the same pb! hype :D

I thought about nox bow however as I don’t have grico for the 1b setup it would be hard to increase the wen stacks so I went with crossbows allowing me to gain more adren from hydrix bolts and use more dark bow specs from the eof.
At this boss it is by far better. Nex has soft hitcaps in all phases. In p1-p4, all damage above 5000 is reduced by 50%, for example, a 7000 hit would be reduced to 6000. In p5, the hitcap becomes even more extreme, she takes 75% less damage from hits over 2000, so a 4000 hit would become 2500. The minions have rather hard hitcaps, any damage over 1000 is HEAVILY reduced. Additionally, she has a mechanic that causes you to heal her rather than damage her in blood phase, so it's possible for a delayed hit from the jas book to be problematic there. Since the jas book just does one big hit, it's seen as suboptimal because it'll be hitting on a damage cap a lot of the time. Ful book is good if your damage is fantastic (if your killtimes aren't ~ the 2 minute mark or less, don't bother), armadyl book is good regardless because it hits smaller, but multiple times and is therefore reduced far less by hitcaps. Scrimshaw of ranging or cruelty is also an option. I would recommend the jas book over an armadyl book anywhere else, though.
Another good idea for the cheaper setups is to use a bow with black stone arrows to get 100% accuracy on Nex for the fight. Then switch to your main weapon.
It’s not a bad idea however if the best bow you have is a zaryte bow then the arrows will splash a lot making it hard to build the stacks. With a t90+ bow it’s probably just better to use wen arrows instead
Hmm I don’t really have any specifics when it comes to rotations, just prioritise the multi hit abilities such as grico snapshot and rapid fire and then use bleeds such as deadshot fragmentation shot and corruption shot.
geeez you kill the whole boss in around 2 minutes and i dont even get through blood phase at all..... dont know what i am doing wrong. not healing him or anything
For blood phase it can be a good idea to use death swiftness at the start and use an adrenaline potion so you can get increased damage on snapshot and rapid fire, also watch out for the blood attack that nex does which heals her for around 10k health, you can avoid it by surging away when the attack hits then go back into the death swiftness to finish her off

3 mins isn't bad though, there are a bunch of little things you can do at this boss to speed each phase up a little and the time saves really start to add up. I considered nox bow but figured without grico I wouldn’t be able to get many stacks so I went with crossbows for more adren and dark bows

I have camped nex with ECB and SGB and my fastest kills are still with asc cbows😂
Took me a while to get used to the ecb but once you get it down the damage output is amazing

They help for sure but you can still splash here a lot without t95 weapon and t99 prayer

I don’t really use snipe so nightmares don’t do much for me, deathtouch is basically the same stats but I get more out of its additional effect
