More over, Italy doesn't even *GET THE M109A1*, they get the M109G like Germany just with a M2HB instead of an MG3. And while it wasn't the Black Prince player, the M109A1 was the Cent Mk1 that killed Spookston earlier in that round.
I love this thing because you can play the Tiger without having Germany on your team :) Also please play the ST-A3, it's a very cool tank with a range finder, good HEAT round and an autoloader
"Germany without the Germans" is the story of literally anything that got exported or captured. Panther? 10/10 with the Russians and French. Tiger? 10/10 with the Japanese. MG 151s? 10/10 on the premium Ki-61.
Germany has the best winrate out of big 3 around 6.0. Germna mains aren't actually any worse than any other nation mains from the big 3, it's just confirmation bias, fueled by the general disdain for "wherhaboos".
The ST-A3 is a monster on a flank due to its mobility. 45 km/h isn't all that high but it gets there super quick and keeps most of that speed when turning or going uphill.

The driver's port, the machine gun port, and the strip of metal at the top of the UFP are like magnetic, I swear. No matter where I aim if I'm shooting a Tiger I at distance, the shell is *drawn* to one of those 3 places.
That character is 鷲 Basically is a type of large eagle, so I think it is intended for aircraft, a bit like English speaking aircrews put the word "Eagle" or "Hawk" on their plane, don't mean much, just feel really cool on an aircraft By the way, the Kanji for tiger is 虎, I think it is a bit of a miss opportunity that we don't have more of these kind of decal in game, animals names on vehicles are really cool and pretty realistic

The main issue of uptiering most 5.3 heavy is that Gaijin is suppose to decompress the Mid/Late WW2 tank so they face less Cold war tank, they should make top tier at 14.0. Right now they are making 5.7-6.7 very compressed again (although the tank still do fine)

I've lost count, but I'm once again hoping for a Strv m/42 EH video... It's one of my favourite tanks, and it's APHE is quite similar to the one you're using here, with 260g of TNT it also tends to overpressure a lot of things. I would love to see a vid on that, I'll keep asking :)

I've been playing the Jumbo recently, and somehow almost everything you face can pen the sponson side thing. Be it a Tiger or T-34, the shell just enters the tank like you over-angled despite you being perfectly head on.
My guess is there exist a small gap of flat 100 mm there. Wait, shouldn't volumetric be the solution of that then? Then again, did gayjiggle shit actually works consistently for once?

It's very sad that the historical worst rounds are the best in WT, while the best rounds are usually the worst. For WT you just pump as much as explosive in an AP round as possible before it becomes SAP, make the nose flat and don't worry about the shell quality because it doesn't matter. And when it comes to armor you just cut as many small holes into it as possible but cover them with an extra layer to offset the reduced armor volume. Voilà, your armor just become twice as effective with no increase in weight.
@@bigbadlara5304 Like with the Tigers driver ports, MG port or even optic holes. If you cut a hole into armor, it gets weaker so these parts get reinforced to not be weaker than the rest of the hull. They don't get stronger. But because of WT limited mechanics, these parts of armor are much more effective. There's no point to accurately model armor when the penetration mechanic can't work with complex armor arrangements. The whole front of the Tiger should just be 100mm of effective armor, driver port or not.
Yea the Tiger is a good tank...if in a downtier...and the enemy is braindead...and they don't know where to shoot...and if you angle perfectly...and if the Russians (with artificially increased angled pen) aren't on the enemy team...and you don't get sniped from 4 KM by a cold-war tank...and some kid with ADHD in their M18 doesn't hold down W and enters your spawn before you've even left it...and you got 4k hours...and you don't get CAS'd by the aforementioned ADHD Hellcat who just got in a P47... That's a lot of "ifs" for a tank that's supposed to be good. I quit playing Germany after getting to the Tiger (The panthers are also objectively better in every single way), switched to France and have been incredibly happy since. My average KD on France is 2 (not good, not bad) and despite getting to top tier, I've moved back to the Tiger to see if it truly was a "skill issue" and to my surprise...no, the tank is just horrendous. The Americans teleport around the map, the Russians can drive backwards, the French if they're good can pen and one shot any tank, the Italians and Swedish get early APDS. For "how good" the Tiger is, you sure do need to do a lot of VERY specific things in order to fructify your "advantages", while other major nations and even smaller ones involve a lot less skill and a much higher reward. The tiger is not a good tank, if you're smart then you can pen it in a 4.0 tank (being generous) and if not, shoot the large muzzle brake. They're so hilariously easy to kill and I'm tired of seeing one side of the community collectively gaslight the german players.
The volumetric non-pens, including an 88 fired at point blank doing no damage, pisses me the hell off. That’s not how physics works, Gaijin. Tank guns in this game feel like .22 pistol round with a grenade attached.
The machine gun port on the jumbo isn't its only week spot, around the transmission on the left and right side where the buldges are, you can pen there, aim it high enough and the transmission wont absorb it all and you can kill crew. Also, congrats on doble nukes, and you should play the 6.7 amx-13, love your videos
Playing 5.7 America and constantly getting fully uptiered against Germany, I almost breath a sigh of relief when I see a Tiger, because I at least know I won’t be facing the absolute bullshit that it is the front of a Panther
The funny thing is how the HT no 6 is just straight up worse than the E due to having the annoying smoke grenades on the hull and has a late H1 turret, yet it still performs fine even at 6.7. Germany truly suffers
People are acting like it’s unfair as if the tiger doesn’t have 135mm of side and front armour when angled. It’s not made for brawling it’s made for longer range engagements. Yes I know it’s stupid but if you won’t angle it you have to expect it to suffer. 5.7 was a good move from gaijin in this situation as the tiger should struggle close up as it’s not meant 100% to be well rounded

Considering their pen they would do fine against most things just their hull armor would be bad at that point. Idk maybe it would be a nice thing if German players had to worry about their tanks having these funny things called weaknesses.

i checked on the protection analysis a while back, iirc the armor on the port ranges from 600mm to 2000mm depending on where it is on the port

Nice video, but can you try out the sdkfz.7/1 its abosluty op with its High explosive amorpiercing 37mm rounds. Its on 1.7 and has 59mm pen.
The german 37mm aa gun has only 49mm of pen. Which makes the t34 a very tough opponent.

Yea the Tiger is a good tank...if in a downtier...and the enemy is braindead...and they don't know where to shoot...and if you angle perfectly...and if the Russians (with artificially increased angled pen) aren't on the enemy team...and you don't get sniped from 4 KM by a cold-war tank...and some kid with ADHD in their M18 doesn't hold down W and enters your spawn before you've even left it...and you got 4k hours...and you don't get CAS'd by the aforementioned ADHD Hellcat who just got in a P47...
That's a lot of "ifs" for a tank that's supposed to be good.
I quit playing Germany after getting to the Tiger (The panthers are also objectively better in every single way), switched to France and have been incredibly happy since.
My average KD on France is 2 (not good, not bad) and despite getting to top tier, I've moved back to the Tiger to see if it truly was a "skill issue" and to my surprise...no, the tank is just horrendous.
The Americans teleport around the map, the Russians can drive backwards, the French if they're good can pen and one shot any tank, the Italians and Swedish get early APDS. For "how good" the Tiger is, you sure do need to do a lot of VERY specific things in order to fructify your "advantages", while other major nations and even smaller ones involve a lot less skill and a much higher reward.
The tiger is not a good tank, if you're smart then you can pen it in a 4.0 tank (being generous) and if not, shoot the large muzzle brake. They're so hilariously easy to kill and I'm tired of seeing one side of the community collectively gaslight the german players.

The machine gun port on the jumbo isn't its only week spot, around the transmission on the left and right side where the buldges are, you can pen there, aim it high enough and the transmission wont absorb it all and you can kill crew.

I was actually killed by a 76 jumbo who shot my driver port while angled. Somehow penned it, just took it as a little help from gaijin.

Playing 5.7 America and constantly getting fully uptiered against Germany, I almost breath a sigh of relief when I see a Tiger, because I at least know I won’t be facing the absolute bullshit that it is the front of a Panther
The funny thing is how the HT no 6 is just straight up worse than the E due to having the annoying smoke grenades on the hull and has a late H1 turret, yet it still performs fine even at 6.7. Germany truly suffers
People are acting like it’s unfair as if the tiger doesn’t have 135mm of side and front armour when angled. It’s not made for brawling it’s made for longer range engagements. Yes I know it’s stupid but if you won’t angle it you have to expect it to suffer. 5.7 was a good move from gaijin in this situation as the tiger should struggle close up as it’s not meant 100% to be well rounded

The Tiger """"""""""NeRf"""""""""" is probably the best thing to happen to mid tier war thunder. So many countries have great 4.3-4.7~ lineups that just don't need to fight the tiger anymore. Like Russian, British, and American 4.7 just became actually possible to play. Honestly the tiger H could go up to 6.0 and the tiger E 6.3. Considering their pen they would do fine against most things just their hull armor would be bad at that point. Idk maybe it would be a nice thing if German players had to worry about their tanks having these funny things called weaknesses.
Why do people say it got nerfed? They upped almost all post 5.0 vehicles 0.3 br to decompress the BRs.
